Spice7 Authentic East Indian Restaurant & Bar

This is perfect. I worked in an Indian restaurant for two years. I’m so happy! Everything came out fast and good. I will be back. I will bring my friends!

We had the Tandoori Chicken, Goat Palak, mango lassi, and masala Chai. Even the naan and rice are perfect.

After reading the reviews on this place we thought we would try it. We were not impressed by the food at all. The servers were friendly but the food was lacking authenticity. The Butter chicken was like over sweetend tomato soup with to much of a citrus undertone. Vindaloo was lacking spice and flavour, and the portions were quite small, however the rice and naan were okay. Will probably not return, next time we will try the other curry house a block away.

The food served at this restaurant is a step above everything else. The flavours, the colours, the smells, it’s absolutely delicious. It’s some of the best food I’ve ever tried. I’ve worked in professional kitchens for over 20 years. Port Alberni is lucky to have Spice 7. Keep up the great work.

The food and service were amazing! Lots of different options. We had the coconut chicken curry, channa masala, rice, naan, and mango lassi. We can't wait to go back.

The food was delicious and the service was great! I definitely recommend. We ordered 2 of the vegan dishes and I wish they had even more vegan options. If I lived here I would eat here all the time.

First time trying this restaurant. Simply put, it was amazingly wonderful! I have had the pleasure of eating many Indian meals made in family kitchens and the food served at Spice7 is as authentic as you will find. Hint: choose at least 'medium' for the amount of heat in the dishes, otherwise you aren't experiencing the true nature of the meal. Personally, ethnic food should always be served and eaten as if you were in a family kitchen. No need for any restaurant to sacrifice flavour. You can always say 'mild' if you really have to. LOL

The food we tried was:

Butter chicken. 5 stars / A+ Rich, tangy sauce and perfectly cooked meat.

Aloo Ghobi. 5 stars / A+ Perfectly prepared. So tasty!

Basmati rice. 5 stars / A+ Perfect. Fluffy and tender.

Veggie samosa. 5 stars / A+ Delicious filling surrounded by a pastry shell that was just right. Not too hard, not too soft.

Garlic Naan. 5 stars / A+ Tasty and tender. (Will try the onion naan next time)

I don't usually post reviews, nor do I rave about any particular restaurant but I am more than happy to recommend Spice7.

Sure, the location and curb appeal might seem odd but once you walk in the door, you will know all is good!

Really nice people working there. Port Alberni is fortunate to have a restaurant serving Indian food of this calibre. Go try it if you already haven't - this place is a treasure that needs to stay open!

Nous sommes arrivés à 10h du soir et tout était fermé autour. De l’extérieur le restaurant ne donne pas très envie mais dès que nous avons passé la porte nous avons été très bien accueillis et surtout: LA NOURRITURE ÉTAIT DÉLICIEUSE!
Les serveuses adorables.
Nous étions seuls dans le resto mais nous nous sommes régalés avec nos plats. Télé indienne en fond, clim. Font aussi à emporter.

I've been to Spice7 twice now for lunch take out (chicken vindaloo medium with rice), and it's been excellent both times, with decent portions.
The restaurant looks good and clean, the food tastes great, and the service has been quick with a smile.

We got take out from spice 7 tonight. The food was excellent, well portioned and good value. We ordered the Palak paneer, lamb masala and chicken korma. They were each distinct and very delicious. This is the best Indian I've had on the island and served by a very lovely family. Thank you so much

Coming into Port Alberni late in the evening, I came into this restaurant because it was one of the last still open. To be honest I was a bit skeptical when I saw the front of the restaurant. I would never have guessed that I would be having one of the best Indian eats in my life here! I had Korma chicken, the food was amazing and served in very generous quantities for the price. The service was perfect, despite the fact that we came in when they closing. I cannot recommend this place enough!

Very friendly waiter, he recommended some meals and it was the best Indian food I ever had.

Amazing food. Great prices and the staff is soo friendly. I ordered the chicken coconut curry, rice and garlic naan bread. Had enough left over to have another meal. Highly recommend you try their food.

My first experience was amazing. Happened by chance after so many other places were closed on Mondays and early. Service is more than friendly and attentive. The food is just fantastic. Service is also quick and prices are more than fair. Love having this in the neighbourhood

The vegetable pacora was amazing. Some of the best I've ever had. Service was amazing, and employees were all happy. It's definitely worth stopping in (I'm definitely glad I did). 10stars!

Omg probably the best mango chicken curry I have every had and the nan was soo soft and clean, no burn marks and seasoned with garlic on every edge on the bread.

Spice 7 did catering for our son's birthday for 25 people and everyone in our party enjoyed the food. It was very well prepared and presented. The owner/chef is very humble. Thank you guys!

The food was so delicious. The portions were well portioned. I couldn't say enough about this place. Just so good!
