The way your employee Marie Talbott treated me and my sister while in the store was absolutely very disrespectful and I saw her laugh at my disabled sister cause I guess the employee thought it was funny my sister was using a cane for support. I had to go ask another employee the name of the associate which I was told it was Marie Talbott. How awful to have an employee like her or to even have her work around the public! I will NEVER come into your store again for this one incident for hiring such horrible and awful employees! She never needs to work around the public!

Do not shop here if you need advice or help. I went to the Sports Chek store at Hillside yesterday to buy a pair of Birkinstock sandles. I knew the name, brand and size I needed. However, I did not receive good sales care or assistance. I had to wander around the entire second floor and finally found two salespersons who totally ignored me as I stood there shoe in hand as they were totally involved in chatting. I waited patiently for them to finish as they were the only two salespeople on the floor. I was ignored. Finally I interrupted and inquired if anyone could assist me. I was brought some shoes boxes however one had only one shoe in it. She had not bothered to check. I had to search for the salesgirl all over the floor to please bring me the matching other shoe. I was then left totally to my own devices.even though I would have liked some advice and possibly another size. I had to find her again (it is a large second floor) to see where I could pay. She was not impolite but just totally uninterested and bored. I kept hoping the lack of exchange would improve. I have been in sales and know there is a basic level of civility and conversation required.even if busy. (and she was not). A live customer takes precedence to chatting and folding. Do your sales people not receive training in basic helpful customer service? I was not a demanding or offensive customer.and this was an over $260 order. I was nearly totally ignored. I will not shop there again and will advise my friends to not shop there as well.

I’ve been shopping daily due to the amazing sales and staff to provide me with all the help I can get for a clothing and shoes so far. Their upstairs section is also very good for your outdoors wear. Management and the staff have been very helpful and kind to me and I’ve seen the same respect to other customers when I do my shopping at this location. Thank you all for you hard work and good customer service. I’ll be back as per usual when they have good savings.

Terrible customer service, not all workers though, for example; one guy who is 20 or above, he tried to help me with a situation which was nice however the others.

We were upstairs looking for a jacket, and wanted to see a Helly Hansen one that was too high to reach. We had already found a decent Columbia one, and were holding it, when we found an associate & asked to see the HH jacket. After she looked me up and down (I just got off work, and am 12weeks post op on a huge ankle reconstructive surgery so I am in ‘basic’ easy to wear, not so pretty, wide fitting shoes) we were told that with the jacket we’re holding “in that price range” (a $220 +tax jacket) if it’s worth for her to get it down for us to see, because the HH is over $400.

I am extremely disappointed with this experience. I have worked for sportchek in the past, when I was in University getting my degree, and I can say, I’ve never treated a customer with so much judgemental rudeness, and disrespect. What a horrible shopping experience, after not being able to walk for months, on my very first outing with me being able to walk with 2 shoes on, & without crutches, in months, was this. Shameful.

The only reason I gave 2 stars is because the jacket we picked ‘in this price range’ is great, but 0 stars for the customer service.

The staff at this store are fantastic. I had an issue with a gift card that was printed without a security code on the back, and they were extremely helpful in fixing this issue for me. Amy, Andrew and I forget the other fellow’s name who helped me did a great job and I left happy and with a great pair of shoes in hand. Thanks again to this team for their help!

Just bought a pelikan kayak from vic hillside store great deal price matched vancover ad.
Saved 160 on price when i got home saw bottom was damged cut though should d have looked before leaving store did see some minor scrachs but didnt see the cut. Staff and superviser were great replaced it right away.

The sportchek itself is okay, the mannequins are scary and I don't like the bikes (personal issue). However! The upstairs portion (atmosphere) is FANTAASTIC! I go there all the time just for fun, whether I need something or not. I will be honest, a large part of the attraction is the very handsome and muscley employees ;) one of them appears to have just gotten a new shirt (I had not seen it on him before on my previous shopping trips) and awooga it sure does flatter his beefy biceps. Ladies! (and men and others) If you are ever bored in the mall, I HIGHLY recommend checking out the MAJOR BEEF CANDy in atmosphere. IT WILL NOT DISAPPOINT!

I had the worst experience in this store. For the first time in my life I felt I was being stalked just because of my race. One of their workers helps me find shoes and as I was walking around the store talking on phone, same guy starts to follow me around. I say because of my race because other non-black shoppers were there and no worker seemed to follow them around. I felt uncomfortable and had to cut the phone call short just so I could pay and get out of there. I talked to the manager who seemed rude and just dismissed my complaint. Every human being deserves to be treated EQUALY no matter what race or gender they are.

Bought a winter coat back in September and the zipper broke about a week ago. Didn't have the receipt but because I used debit, SportChek replaced the coat. No questions or hassles. Thanks SportChek!

SportChek Online - Will never use SportChek online ordering again. Online ordered an "IN STOCK" item at Hillside store. It took over 24hrs for SportChek just to process receive/approve my VISA payment! Are you kidding me with this? I should be able to place an order for an in stock item and be able to pick it up within an hour - not a day later!

Called their online customer support and it was explained to me that just because it says an item is "in stock', that the item may actually be a display model or come from another store or warehouse as the local store's item may actually not be available. Say what now? Well gee, as a consumer that information might be nice to know BEFORE I place an order and should be stated somewhere in the ordering process! The support agent agreed and says they get a lot of complaints about this.

It's 2018 SportChek and if you want to actually compete with other retailers like MEC and Amazon, I highly recommend that you correct and drastically improve your online ordering system because I could have an item DELIVERED to my house by Amazon before your system has even processed a CC payment! Weak.
