This place is run by out of towners who don’t care about the Squamish community, residents who have lived here for many many years and deserve kind, friendly service. Almost all of the wonderful old school staff (who actually reside in Squamish) have left due to the rude, demeaning, unorganized management who commute from the city. This showed yesterday when we went to cancel insurance for our deceased love one and we had to wait OVER A HOUR to have the cheque signed. We told them to call us when the cheque was ready as his poor widow (a long time Squamish resident) was in tears from their poor service. They called the next day and said they had the cheque ready, but then called back to say ooops we still need another signature on the cheque so it is still not ready. How does it take 2 days to have a cheque signed? I have never experience poor service like this in my life! If this is the way they run things at insurance offices in the city I really feel sorry for them. They might as well change the name to Van insurance because these people do not care about Squamish residence. Never Ever go here!

The laziest, most unprofessional “workplace” I’ve ever seen. Of the 8 employees I’ve seen walking around with coffees, only 1 is actually helping people right now. Everyone else is too busy gossiping or hiding in the back. Meanwhile I’ve been here for 2 hours just to renew my license with only 2 people in front of me. Absolutely horrible.

Jeanene was amazing, so so helpful. I had some complications trying to insure my motorcycle and she was beyond amazing - did her research, followed up, and went above and beyond to help get me sorted. Highly recommended.

I had been with Squamish Insurance for 19 years. I received my November 1st insurance policy 10 days out. It went from 1200 to $1900. I have not had a claim. I called to speak with them on Saturday several times. My message was not returned. I called on Monday. They acknowledged that was a huge increase and would look into it. ON Friday I hadn't heard from them and called for the manager. They said there was lots of time to get a new quote. They seemed unwilling to acknowledge that it was not a lot of time for me. I've had to take a day off work to find a new insurer. I expect them to contact me before I get a massive increase. This was a very unsatisfactory experience.

Some staff are amazing, some are truly truly awful. All have inadequate support and software tools to properly support customers.
I just tried to get my drivers license sorted, and the gentleman explained that I needed two non-drivers license phot ID’a in order to do this. Strange I thought, but okay. So I drove across town to pickup my passport and other ID, return to Squamish Insurance only to be served by a very polite lady who did not need any other form of ID other than my existing license (kind of as you would expect). The gentleman I first dealt with just had no consideration for the time he was wasting for other people.
On a previous visit this gentleman had suggested I fly to New Zealand to pickup some license documentation in order to get things transferred to BC (his only possible solution required multiple days and thousands of dollars in expense). Fortunately a colleague of his was evesdropping and enquired - she ran a 15 second search, found me in the system and resolved my issue in about 3 minutes.
I’m not sure of the guys name but just hope you don’t have to deal with him if you visit.
