Worst laptop repair shop. I took my laptop was not getting power. Technician told me old battery and needs to replace. I replaced with New battery. Still not working. Then I was told mother board is finished. I can not understand if there was problem with mother board then why The technician change new hard drive and charge me money for dead laptop.now he is selling me another laptop.
This repair man ruined my laptop. I do not recommend this shop for repair services.

I felt I had to say something today but was not sure how to express how imoressed I am with the service of this shop. I retired a few years ago, where in the past I was able to rely on the IT techs at my office but now I'm on my own. The techs at SSL have been my source of information now for over five years. They treat me kindly and with patience and respect, even when at times I am sure my questions can be annoying and lengthy. Today I was particularly stresssed out because my laptop crashed yesterday. No problem for this team. They offered me a used (three year old) rebuit model of the same brand I had lost, at an incredible price. They turned a bad experience into a great solution for me. I highly recommend this company for not only their knowledge, but for their attention and first class service. Thank you Mr. Sachar. You have an amazing team.

I went to repair my laptop they couldnt repair it but charged me$40. Will never go there. Zero customer service.

I have had their services and definitely wanna come back if i ever need them in the future

Tried to sell me laptop fans while mine worked. When I came back to check them because the new ones weren't spinning he threatened to call the police after yelling like a madman. They charge 80$ just to open up a laptop and dust it. Thankfully I didn't pay for their inflated components as other reviews have noted. Hilarious little place playing at repairing computers while all they do is resell at a higher price. Can't even properly connect a fan. In the end he literally stole a $15 dongle for a wireless mouse from my laptop out of pettiness.

Absolutely NOT RECOMMENDED, you will be REGRET, after twice fixing my laptop and waiting for week they offered me a wired external keyboard to attach to my laptop instead of fixing the keyboard problem, thay also changed my brand new keyboard panel with very old and damaged piece of trash and the answer was: oops.
Wrong Place to go.
Zero star.

These guys are really good. I went in with a very old product and they found what I needed and even worked on it so I could have a little more enjoyment until I decide to purchase a new laptop. Offered me advice and options. They are quick and good price.

I'm aware of all these negative reviews, however my experience with SSL Computers in Abbotsford was good. It was the weekend (Saturday) and I really needed my Acer laptop screen replaced. I called them and they said they had the screen in stock, and could get the job done in 1-2days. I dropped off my laptop but had to wait 4 days because it turns out they did not have the correct screen model in stock and had to order it. That's fine, but I wish someone called/emailed me to inform that it would take an extra day or two, instead of me calling them to inquire about the delay on day 3 (hence the 4-star review). The screen came in and they managed to make quick work of the repair and have my laptop back in my hands very early the next morning! I was content with their service, and understand that it would've been a quicker job (1-2 days) if they had my screen in stock. I'm happy with the service and pricing of the screen repair for my Acer. I would visit again. Give SSL Computers a try for your computer repair needs.

DO NOT GO HERE! These guys are scammers! I brought my laptop here when it wouldn’t start. After a few days they called me and said the motherboard was damaged and it was unrepairable. They then tried to sell me one of their refurbished computers. A week later, after buying a new computer, I went back to their shop with a new charger and plugged it into my old laptop. Started charging, then fired right up! Works fine! These guys wanted to sell me a new computer and likely sell my old one after telling me it was dead. Save your time and money and go somewhere else

I didn't even get past the phone call. Need new printheads for Brother All-in-one. First fellow said yes, we can do it, I'll transfer you to someone who can help you, but the woman he sent me to told me they couldn't do it, even though she had not yet asked for the model number, then put me on hold when I said the other fellow said they COULD, and came back and told me I'd have to bring it in because they can't tell me unless they know the model number, to which I replied that I'd be happy to give her that info yet, before I did, she gave me a price RANGE? On top of all that, I could barely hear her and she sounded miserable. If they can't even provide decent service on a phone call, what's their tech service going to be like? Hard pass.

Went to the Phone Doctor after spending $800+ with SSL Computers coming to find out my RAM upgrades were not updated and still running at the lowest performence, 1 USB was not working, had a failing hard drive and windows not installed or updated all. I did appreciate them replacing my processor which was wrecked and not having to wait a month for warranty but after all this I would not recommend SSL Computers.

Had an old laptop that needed repaired so didn't want to spend too much money. They got it working again for less than I had told them I was willing to put into repairing it and faster than expected.

They are selling parts from best buy and amazon and charging $20-$50 more.that's why they say "come after few days. "
I got a computer quote of $1300 while the same parts were available everywhere for total of $800.that's $500 difference plus tax.blatant scammers!

I'm really not sure what some of these negative reviews are talking about, as I've been using this place to help me out with parts, purchases, info and repairs, and they've been nothing but helpful. The workers I've recently talked to have gone out of their way to make sure I don't buy anything unnecessary or without sufficient information. They've done price comparisons in front of me, checking if the nearby Best Buy has better prices, sometimes it has been cheeper, and sometimes this SSL has been cheaper. I honestly think they've been fair and honest with their prices.

This place is right near a Best Buy, so they depend on returning customers, and I can say that I trust them. I have a couple of actual gripes:
1: There have been some employees that haven't been as helpful, and they didn't impress me, but the newer workers I've met since those ones left have been great.
2: They have absolutely been (mostly) inaccurate with their wait/call times, which can be really inconvenient if you're on a schedule. However, a friend of mine went to the Best Buy Geek Squad nearby, and it was worse for her than it's ever been for me getting help from this SSL. So that's something to keep in mind.

I do honestly recommend this place, and I do so with a good understanding of what it is like getting things from here, and Best Buy, and I prefer here. But, hey, I'm not a computer expert. Give them a chance if you're in the area and need their expertise.

Had a poor experience with product and customer service was rude accompanied with profanity. Not impressed

Bought a used Computer from them and and a used Monitor from them and sent the Employee they harrassed her. They Treated me as though they weren't aware of me coming in which had been per arranged by at least 4 phone calls from the My Office and they played Dumb about it. They sold us a monitor that is scared all the was across the screen.they were told to give me a demo and they did not. Very unsatisfied.
