I had an amazing experience. Pre-reading is key. If you do the work you will fly through. Ella was my instructor she was inspirational as well as the epitome of professionalism. She was clear and precise on instructions. I felt respected and heard. I was so nervous when I took this course on and I’m glad I was because becoming a first aid attendant is a role that is extremely important and should be taken seriously. I would happily re-certify here when the time comes. Thank you to the team for helping me accomplish my goals.

Took the level 1 course it's been about 15 years since I've taken it, of course things have changed but the instructor (susan) I hope I got her name right, was very good and made the course very informative and interesting.

Worst experience I have ever had with instructor named ELA. I have been to many academic institutions but ELA was the worst instructor I have met. I took my OFA2 classes last week with her, each time I ask any question she be like - I am occupied with other students, I can't talk to you right now. I passed my theoretical exam with more than 80% but she failed me twice in practical exam. Her reasons were that I was too fast (like seriously). She passed rest of the class by directing them everything in the scenario, but when my turn came she was silent. I felt I was left out from rest of the class. Second time, she gave me timing to come early in the morning to re do the practical exam but then she changed her mind two days ago and messed up my whole work schedule. I am a full time worker and this cost me a lot of money. How can someone pass theory and fail practical twice. She did not even greet me when I came second time in class and said you can go to class. Never ever suggesting this place to somebody for any of the course. I have already wasted my time and my hard earned money here.
Worst. Worst. Worst!
Never ever come to this place.

Ok, its been a week now but no one reach me out and if i am trying to attach mail to customer service, it says blocked message.what a service!

Today I have taken and passed my First Aid course. Our instructor was Mike, the best of the best instructors I have ever had. He was very knowledgeable, experienced and at the same time could explain everything in an easy and understandable way. Enjoyed it a lot, highly recommended!

I attended this class last Wednesday July 12th for work. It was my 4th or 5th time renewing my First Aid Training and was the worst experience I have ever had. The teacher, Donna, was very rude and aggressive with almost every student in the class. She used multiple students as examples including myself as an example of how to save a choking fat person. She put her arms around me and stated "No way in hell this is going to work" then repeatedly told me to hurry up after she told me to go stand against the wall. She even ripped off a students shoes and socks without asking or any regard to his autonomy. She taught the class the way St John would want her to teach but also told us her way about doing everything and basically it was the better way. I came here for St Johns First Aid training.not Donna's. She kept yelling at us & making us re-do things even when we we're doing them right we just didn't wait until she was watching at the perfect moment. The class went past the dedicated time and she made sure to let us know it was our fault. We're adults and 15/17 of us had taken the course prior. I will go back to renewing my First aid at the Port Moody location as I never had an experience less than a 5 Star there.

I had my Standard First Aid - with CPR-C-AED course last week and my instructor was Ekta. Ekta was knowledgeable, kind, caring, and compassionate. Ekta had the whole class engaged and was open to discussions. She spent as much time as everyone needed on each topic and catered to everyone’s learning style and needs. She was so supportive of everyone and truly wanted us to succeed. She is so knowledgeable about the course and was very passionate about teaching the material to us. I would love to have Ekta as my instructor again in the future.:) Thank you so much Ekta! It’s people like you who make learning enjoyable.

$150 withdrawal fee for every course, even if it’s under 24 hours for registration. There is no certification or booking for provincial exams. You are just paying them to sit in a class room. DO NOT GO HERE. They also don’t offer student uniforms or equipment like the Canadian Red Cross.

I would like to give a shout out to Ela our OFA level 2 instructor at St. JOHN Ambulance the week of Jul 18-22 of 2022. We appreciate your passion and dedication on helping us succeed. We will see you again in 3 years.

I am beyond frustrated with this place. Took my lvl 3 course here. They do not teach you properly for one. The teachers don’t go over anything really especially important stuff. They MAY do it once and that’s it. They move on. Which sets people like me up for failure. 3 out of 5 students in my class alone did not pass. And now they require an extra 200 dollars to retake. They say you can redo one time if you fail any one of the components. They also tel you you have up to 30 days to retake. Again they called me and told me I must do it within a week! Or I’ll have to retake the entire course again. They don’t treat people to kindly. Definitely will NOT RECOMMEND this place to Anyone.

The instructor was very knowledgeable, kind and clear when explaining.
But the problem was when i called to book the training i said let me pay for everything now which I thought was clear. However, after the class and exam instructor said no certificate for me. When i called them the next day they said oh you didnt pay for the mask! I said to the lady they need to be more clear when customer is calling to inform us by saying “hey, there is still this $14 fee for the mask, you want it? ” (you cant do the class without it;)
So teacher is great, organization not so much.
Thank you

Very clean facility, following all covid protocols, limited class sizes. Proper PPE and sanitization available in the class rooms.

The instructor (Ela) was very nice and informative. The have a lot COVID-19 safety measures in place. Full time and part time courses are offered for OFA 2 and 3.

The teaching instruction gets a 5 star. My instructor was amazing. The building however, could you a bit of care. Broken locks in bathroom stalls, chipped paint, and broken TP roller dispensers, dirty broken blinds, and a nasty looking carpet really makes the place look quite dated and cheap. A minor refresh of the building would go a long way. The instruction however, was A+

Good education for in and outside of the work place; never know when you might find yourself in a position to help someone in need - wide range of topics and information

Just did a standard, two day first aid course. The instructor, although experienced and enthusiastic, made the course feel more like a paramilitary training course. The parking lot can get full quickly and there isn’t other parking nearby. Food options are limited nearby and most require jay-walking (unless you want to risk running out of break time).
