St. Lawrence Restaurant

Thoughtful food — I went there at the end of December for the tasting menu to treat myself for the year. I didn't take photos for the food because it would neglect the greatness of the delicacy and the dedication of the chef's team.

The menu was presented at the end of the meal.

An absolute treat! We had an absolutely wonderful experience. Between the impeccable service from our wait staff (Chris I’m pointing to you buddy) and the delectable entrees/wine, we couldn’t have been happier.

The environment and service are both very good. However, the food is not amazing and doesn’t hit my mark.overall it’s pretty good.

Apparently one of your employees likes to go on Facebook and cause drama, threatening people, calling people and their mothers extremely nasty things.
"Aproorva Prakash" being the employee. If this is how she is on Facebook, I will stay far away from the restaurant. Couldn't imagine how she deals with ones food when she disagrees with them.

Four of us visiting from OR and Texas had an amazing experience. The food was exceptional and delicious. The entire experience from service to explanation to taste was outstanding!

I will start this review by saying that I would have awarded 5 stars before they received the Michelin star. It feels like after they got the Michelin rating, the owner is expecting more money for less.

It used to be you get a 4 course meal for a fixed price and you would be full of food. Now you get a 7 course dinner, but the servings are so small that you will still be hungry by the time you have paid the bill. And by the way, the cost per person has gone up as well.

So basically you will pay over a hundred bucks for this culinary experience, but you'll want to order a pizza by the time you get home because you're still hungry. I'm not saying that the food was bad - in fact, it was delicious - but customers should consider what their money could buy them at any other restaurant.

Arrived a bit early for my dinner reservation and was asked to wait outside because the restaurant was jam packed. Got kinda pissed as I had to wait out in the rain for about half an hour.totally ready to deduct stars from my review later. Yet, the food was so exemplary it took away all of my resentment and replaced it with awe. They serve a 7 course tasting menu which seems a lot, yet the portions are adequate and easy to finish.
The appetizer including the lamb and consommé was truly divine and the foie gras accompaniment took my breath away. Have to say, the best foie gras I've ever had! The vegetarian course involving rutabaga, however, didn't live up to my expectations, it tasted bland and took me some effort to finish it, but I can overlook that. The scallops were artistically shaved and served with garlic oil, the duck was well made too, reminded me of my visit to Paris.
The dessert with a decadent pumpkin cake was wonderful!
I recall wanting to cancel my visit after a long day at work but I'm glad I didn't:)

Offers a set course meal inspired by Québecois and French cuisines. The dishes have a lot of thought put in and changes with the seasons, offering a unique tasting experience.

Dishes are revealed with each course of the meal and explained by the staff, and a menu of the dishes you had for the meal is presented at the end. The dress code is not very strict (the restaurant aims for an elevated-yet-approachable feeling), but it wouldn't hurt to dress up for the nice occasion.

The staff are very friendly and accommodating and we had a lovely time!

Arrive on time - you are able to be seated early if there is ample space, but in the case that there is no space there is not a lot to do close by.

Parking is mostly street parking, as well as a paid lot belonging to another business across the street.

I will only share a photo of the outside to not spoil the dishes you may get. Treat yourself to a nice meal here!

Favourite restaurant in the whole city hands down. We go every year on our anniversary, it never disappoints

St Lawrence did not disappoint, a small intimate restaurant with friendly and professional service. 3 course menu with a number of specials and add on dishes avaliable. French cuisine expertly prepared and with some serious skill. The quality of produce and flavours produced in dishes won me completely over. Can't wait to go back.

A wonderful dining experience, excellent food, impeccable service - now move the restaurant to a better area of the downtown!

One of the best restaurants in Vancouver! The food is a delightful mix of French and Québécois cuisine. Everything was absolutely perfect, and I was pleasantly surprised by how exceptional their offerings were. I highly recommend trying their cocktails; they are truly unique and unlike anything you can find elsewhere in Vancouver.

Tips for those coming from outside of Vancouver: I recommend arranging for an Uber or taxi to get to this restaurant because it’s a Vancouver “special” gem. With all due respect, this restaurant is a must-visit, even in this ‘special’ area.

Service from staff was awesome as expected from a Michelin starred restaurant. Chef Poirier's creations were incredible.came in thinking i was getting a three-course meal but ended up with that plus several other incredible side dishes.the fermented tomato tart was absolutely amazing.my experience was expensive but absolutely worth it.i'd highly recommend and would definitely come back next time i'm in Vancouver.

This place felt like we were over at someones home and they cooked our food with love! Every single bite was delicious! The staff was very knowledgeable and suggested excellent wine parings. The cocktail menu is small and well curated. Fabulous place for a special date night or just a memorable meal.

Birthday for my husband. They were informed that twice, but no candle on any dessert. Disappointed. Also when we book the table online, were forced to pay 20% tips upfront, we expect better service.

What an incredible experience. The food was fantastic and even beyond what you'd expect from somewhere with such accolades.

Our server, Chris, was charming and funny, but more importantly, he had the perfect recommendation to pair with each course. We put ourselves completely in the staff's hands, and they did not disappoint.

It was a truly exceptional dinner, and we can't thank the team there enough.
