Star Lake Chinese Restaurant

Was decent Chinese food. I had the deep fried tofu, which could have been crispier, but was tasty. I appreciated that they also substituted their egg noodles for rice noodles in their mushroom chow mein, albeit for a nominal fee. The Buddha's feast was tasty, and veggies were cooked well.

So tasty and so generous! We're so happy to have found a classic Chinese place. Get the Breaded Almond Chicken, it's all-white meat with perfectly crispy exterior and delicious almond pieces, and the container can always only barely be shut haha. The Mixed Vegetables in Szechuan sauce is soooo good, love that spicy sauce. Even their fried rice has such great flavour. We got yet another food delivery app (DoorDash) to be able to order from Star Lake and it's totally worth it, we've ordered 4+ times and the quality has been the same excellent every time!

Place an order for the family and the lady said it was going to take 40 minutes. Got there and waited another 30 minutes. Right when we arrived she told us it'll be ready in 3 minutes and it's coming up. Highly disorganized and very poor service

Overall, pretty decent food here. However their most recent take out menu (you aren't allowed to dine in since Covid) has seen some drastic price increases (up to 40% for some items) In addition to no longer getting a 10% discount for pickup orders, you will also be prompted to tip when paying.

Large portions, followed instructions, just not my style of Chinese. Very western and chow mein had really large noodles.

My order included sweet and sour pork. I asked for the sauce to be on the side and they ended up charging me EXTRA for that? What? I wanted it on the side because I wanted LESS. And the rice was wayyy over cooked.

Best chineese food since the 90s! The service is great, delivery was on time, on one of the busiest days of the year when I placed my order over the phone. The food was nice and hot and tasted great! Large portion sizes, great flavor and fresh vegetables! Wish you could still eat in the restaraunt though.

Took 30 minutes longer for our pick-up order. While waiting for our food in the restaurant, we had to listen to the chefs fighting and yelling.
The food was good but the horrible service is why we won't return.

The chocolate cake at this bakery was divine. It was rich and decadent with a moist, fluffy texture. The frosting was also delicious, with just the right amount of sweetness.
