The manager is welcoming, the premises needs a health inspection due to a rodent infestation,
Some of the permanent guest are friendly in the beginning but, everyone should always be mindful of the way our society is reliant on the subliminal connection that we all find ourselves trapped in at somepoint

The man that answered the phone was very rude when I called asking for pricing for a family member. Definitely needs to learn how to talk to customers. I would go else where if I ever needed a place to stay

This place hasn't changed in along time although it's definitely your budget motel it had clean sheets and a semi alternative to a hostel in desperate need of a upgrade we felt it was slightly overpriced especially when you couldn't get the door to latch or lock!

We didn't have the chance to stay here even though we had reservations. Aug. 27th, 2022.7 pm. Fresh off the train, the cab dropped us off. As we unloaded our baggage and a bicycle, the owner/manager came at us, shouting, "You're not welcome here! " What? Is he yelling at us? I don't know the reason, he wouldn't say, and after some "negotiations" he still thought we had a "lesson to learn". He didn't apologize for his alarming rant. We walked down the street to another motel, paid an extra $100, but were welcomed with a smile. Maybe the Star Lodge is nice. The owner's prejudice suggested otherwise.

I had a reservation. Showed up at 6pm. The lobby door was locked. The man working there was so out of it on something he could barely get up out of his chair and unlock the door. He cracked it partially open said something you couldn't even understand and locked it again. You could tell he was on some kind of substance. I knocked again and he opened the door a crack and I told him I have a reservation he said he didn't care and there are no rooms then he locked the door and stumbled back to the desk. I should of called the police he was obviously on some kind of substance and could barely walk or talk. I do not recommend anyone goes to this hotel.

The gentleman at the front desk is very kind and pleasant. Our room needed to be aired out though.

Stay away from this place. The person at reception wanted to hug a girl in the group ahead of me. He did not accept my pre booking. He told me I could only have a room for $200 when my booking was for $97.

Beautiful balcony view quiet clean beds were comfy and the owner was very pleasant to deal with in the middle of the night when we were misplaced by another hotel here in Kamloops there super accommodating to any questions you may have and will ensure you have a great stay highly reccommend

For the price, it was all that one needs! Great view of the river and city. Big king sized bed and clean simple room.

A modest place, but the staff very helpful and accommodating. Tidy room, fresh linens, great views. Will come again soon!

Rude, Dirty, run down. The Motel would not stand by the "Booking.com" Booking Price, and then wanted to jack the price up to stay. This seems to be the trend with these new owners of the motels. Zero customer service. I would give a zero if I could.

Arrivé là après 5h de route, le propriétaire a l’air au premier abord plutôt sympathique. J’ai réservé via le site booking. Après plusieurs minutes de recherche il trouve enfin la réservation et me dis qu’il n’a pas de chambre pour moi ce soir.
Je lui demande pourquoi, quel est le problème avec la reservation, changement de ton, la personne devient très agressive, et me dis que pour 20 dollars il n’as pas de chambre pour moi (prix que j’ai payé/réservé via booking). Il me demande de quitter immédiatement les lieux ou sinon appelle la police. En étant surpris de son attitude, j’essaie de lui demander si il sait où je peux dormir ou m’expliquer la ville, aucune réponse, et me redemande de sortir.
Il s’avère après appel au service client de booking qu’il s’agit d’une erreur de sa part lors de l’entrée du prix sur le site.
Au lieu de me proposer autre chose, le propriétaire m’as directement agressé verbalement.
En aucun cas je ne recommanderai cet établissement, même pas a mon pire ennemi

I highly suggest staying elsewhere. Had a very uneasy and unsafe feeling. Very run down and dirty.

Staff at the front was very friendly. Our room was very clean and well kept, had a wonderful view from our patio. Definitely exceeded our expectations and will book again!

This place is definitely better than its low ratings. For 90$ we had a clean room, clean sheets and towels and everything we needed. That's a good value. I bet the only people who bother to write a review are the occasional ones who had an unlucky experience here. I bet most people's stay here is just fine and they never bother to write a review. I didn't see any of the bad things described in the 1 star reviews. If you want a cheap place to stay that's just fine, give this place a chance, it didn't disappoint us. And we found the staff very friendly btw.

Well we didn't get to stay. We booked with our credit card, but wanted to pay with our debit. He refused our money, probably a good thing. Crack heads hanging around there. Didn't look very safe. We had our kids with us. Ended up driving 2min down the road and stayed at the Ramada. They had no problem taking our money and gave us a great room.

Easily the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. It is disgusting, service is horrible, room stunk of cigarettes, and the beds look like they've been taken from the bin.

Someone needs to shut this place down.
