By default tip added to the order with no way to cancel it. How's it legal? Who is managing this store.

Absolutely THE worst service I’ve ever had in my life at this location I was just refused my frapp because the guy Jesse said they cleaned the blender already, long before close, shouldn’t that be part of closing duties? Extremely rude!

This is the single greatest Starbucks to ever have existed in the history of starbuckses. The brown egg chairs are second to none as far as comfort go, the iced matcha latte is out of this world, and the staff are the most friendly amazing people this side of the Mississippi.

Back to the brown egg chairs for a second they are definitely built for comfort not speed as you will get nowhere fast.

11/10 would do again.

Well, I want to like this place more. That's why I'm posting this review.
I love the space, love the location, and the servers seem friendly enough.
If you arrive anytime but opening time, the tables aren't clean. I've been here maybe 50 times and I've never seen anyone leave behind the counter. Customers, most of them students sit for hours and often people coming in have a hard time finding seating.
Recently their point of sale system has a screen that almost compels me to pay a 20% tip.
I'm sitting here in a comfortable chair and the small table in front of me has an empty cup, napkins and two stirring sticks.
I'm fuming for paying the 20% tip.

The barista was so rude to me and my friend. He made DISGUSTING drinks, and when we asked him to change, he asked “did you take a sip or anything? ” “But you want this”. I feel like the only question he should’ve asked should be what the problem was so he could fix it. He didn’t want to fix the drink, he only wanted to argue with us. When he made my friends’ drink, even though we ordered less ice, he made it with lots of ice. When she wanted him to take out some ice (didn’t even ask for a new drink), he took out the ice aggressively by pouring the drink away into the sink in front of her. The drink then was substituted with FOAM (not what she asked for). RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL! Wasted the good location and beautiful decorations.

The store have to be open until 10 pm and the worker was so rude closing the door in from of os at 9: 45 pm. It doesn't make sense if the store schedule is in service until 10 pm! So bad

It's a nice place but the service sucks. They are sooo slow. I got distracted and forgot to order my banana bread. I told the barista when I picked up my order; she said sorry and walked away. My cup of Americano was barely 3/4 full. They never learned about customer service

Situated close to the BC legislature building, this location has clean interior design. Very close to the bus stop for bus number 70.

The new Starbucks in the Doubletree by Hilton, is fantastic. It is a very comfortable place to spend a rainy afternoon, or to sit on the patio on a lovely March day. The coffee and treats are great! Very relaxed and community-like!

Iced coffee not available and clerk was rude about it. Order ahead not available and store was not busy. Alt drink, Iced Americano tasted gross and was more $$$

Honestly if negative was an option I would give -5 stars. This Starbucks usually has good service but our experience today was awful. The staff completely forgot to make our drinks and none of the drink were made correctly after 20 minutes of waiting. I was expecting to gas up my day with a nice dose of Starbucks but now I’ve begin to second guess my thoughts about ever going to this location again. I order a java chip frap and it couldn’t look more like baby puke with chocolate flakes. Chloe made a mess making the drinks too, the cups were all sticky and over filled and now I got a stain spot on my pants. Even the Queen would be disappointed.

Starbucks perhaps wasn't understaffed however they may have been taken by surprise being March break and all. There was one cashier and two drink prep team members when we were there on Monday at sbout 4: 00. They were quick to wipe off our table after I asked and there was a long line however it was orderly we enjoyed our time people watching. I like this location and access to the washroom.

The service at this location is excellent and very friendly, but it's the location itself that's the real draw. There's a lot of seating here and plenty of windows with fantastic viewing. It's a wonderful place to sit and watch the people go by.

Great Starbucks, very close to parliament building, the interior design is very nice. The barista was very friendly, we grabbed a Victoria mug from their across the globe collection.

Their open till 8 amd you can sit and look out onto Douglas and people watch
I enjoy spending time where its warm and the people get to know you really fast. Name and drink. They always greet me with a smile.

New Starbucks location, although not a corporate store (no way of redeeming stars or completing streaks). Otherwise, mostly a standard Starbucks. Lots of seating available!

Probably one of the fanciest Starbucks I've ever seen. Not sure what they did differently I didn't see it but I did have a sign saying no alcohol beyond this point didn't notice any on the menu.

Lots of seats to seat and large tall glass views to the street. Coffe was hot enough and tasty as you expected from Starbucks

I really appreciate that downtown Victoria has a coffee shop open late, and with a place to sit down with my laptop to get work done in the evening

I wish that I had read the reviews before entering this location. I was disappointed to not be able to order ahead. However, it looked fairly quiet so I felt more comfortable about ordering in store and possibly having a moment to enjoy my breakfast and latte. Next, at the till, I could not redeem or accumulate Starbucks Rewards because, according to the cashier, this location is owned by the hotel and chooses not to participate. Despite only three customers ahead of me and seven employees behind the counter, my order seemed to take forever. Meanwhile, I tried to connect to the wifi but they don't offer Starbucks wifi. There is option to use the hotel's wifi but my phone provided me a security message not to proceed (I don't receive that message on Starbucks wifi). And, when I finally got my breakfast and found a seat to sit down, I couldn't enjoy my breakfast because an unmasked homeless man continually entered my personal space and would not leave me alone. This is my first and last time entering this location. It's a pity because they did a good job on the renos.

Very good for a Starbucks, probably because they're associated with Double Tree and Hilton Hotels and have a certain standard to uphold. Great large space and great central hub location, I love studying here.

They forgot my order.
One employee who was making my drink disappeared all of a sudden and didn't come back. I saw my drink was being made there, unfinished. It seemed like no one cared about it. I waited until another employee came up to me and said if I had been helped. I finally got my drink after 5 minutes with small "sorry" without even looking at me. I didn't have a chance to see the employee who was making my drink until I left. Maybe he went home.
Do not call them baristas. They just are just part-time employees. Unprofessional and untrained ones. I don't blame them. Management should take this seriously. I heard that the management is under Doubletree hotel. Look at the rating. They gotta do something.
