The staff were so helpful as I ventured to buy my first road bike. They built one up for me to try, talked to me at length about pros and cons, and I felt no pressure to purchase right away. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for advice on buying their next bike

Yesterday, after a long day at work, my e-bike broke down at 5: 30pm. I was able to walk it to Steed Cycles, and they helped me without hesitation despite them being very busy! Without them, I would not have made it home. Definitely going back to them for all my cycling needs!

Outstanding customer service from Steed as usual. Talked to Simon over the phone about an online bike order I made and an issue related to a promotion (not Steed Cycle's fault) and he went above and beyond to dig into it and find a resolution for me. I live an hour away from Steed and choose to shop there because of guys like Simon!

The folks at Steed set a high bar for customer service and satisfaction. Everyone there are always friendly, approachable, super helpful and knowledgeable. I have purchased a bike at Steed and got valuable advice from Jason and the rest of the sales staff. I had a bike build done there too, and get all my bikes serviced at Steed. I have got to know many of the service folks - thanks Sam, Loic, Chris, Dom, Tony, Marvin, to name a few, but they are all super rad. The drop-off, intake, communication, and pickup processes are what other bike service/shops should use as a golden standard example. On super short notice they really stepped up to the plate to address some unexpected issues with my bike in order to get me on my way to a race in Italy last summer, and helped me with a bike insurance issue after being hit by a car in Italy that same trip! I have long been too disappointed with another bike shop on Broadway that was my previous go-to, and I am so glad I made the switch to Steed. I am really happy with this relationship - although I live in Vancouver, it is well worth the trip to the North Shore! Thanks gang and keep on doing great service to your customers.

FUN FACT - I bought a Specialized Stumpjumper in 1994 off of Kim through Craigslist. It is loaded with syncros Ti and i still have it.

This is a neat bike shop with excellent customer service. I recently purchased my dream bike, a Santa Cruz Heckler, and Erdin went above and beyond to help make my purchase smooth and easy. If you are looking for a new cycle, stop in and ask for Erdin, you won’t be disappointed!

Bought a Jersey, bib shorts and base layer. Big props to Jessica for helping me out! She patiently showed a wide range of bib shorts for the price range that I mentioned, a very big thank you to her and the entire team. Steed Cycles will be my one stop shop from now on.:)

I had a great experience with Steed Cycles. I have used their amazing service department before, but this was the first time I purchased a bike from them. I bought a Specialized Turbo Vado. They were great! All the guys were very helpful and very patient as they walked me through the process, and all the changes in bikes since I bought my last bike, a 1989 Rocky Mountain Fusion. Very friendly, very helpful and no pressure sales. I made the right choice with not only the bike, but Steed as well. Thanks so much!

Happy to do a review of Steed, one of the best bike stores on the NShore. I’ve been shopping at Steed for a long time, on my third bike and so have met and worked with the most of the team there. Phil, Jay, Jeff and other have taken excellent care of me, and keep me coming back. With my most recent e-bike purchase, Erdin was super helpful. There are times when it gets a little busy in there, but that’s a good sign! The latest addition, Stephen, seems to be settling in well…he definitely knows his stuff! One of the things I really appreciate about Steed is how responsive to email. Other bike shops don’t respond and want you to come to the store, but as a professional working downtown, that doesn’t work for me. This makes doing business with them super easy. Thanks again, highly recommend Steed, see you again soon!

Visited Steed Cycles today to get a new saddle for my wife's bike because her current one wasn't working out for her at all. We walked in and it was busy, which to me is actually a good sign - it's like when you go travelling and you have no idea where to eat, go eat at the restaurant that's packed out, not at the empty ones, cause locals know best!

I've ordered from Steed online before, but this was my first time stepping foot into the store, and we were introduced to Jason, their bike fitting expert.

What we appreciated about Jason was just how professional but friendly he was. Not to mention, he was super knowledgeable. He took the time to educate us about saddles and seating positions and the whole nine yards, and we learned a whole lot more than we ever thought we could know! He took the time to also ensure we had the right product, went with the one he felt was the best for us (not the most expensive one, not the highest-end one, didn't push anything on us that we weren't ready for or couldn't buy, he recommended the one that was perfectly within our budget and would suit our needs). We were also looking for some shoes for my wife, so he took the time to go through and explain, make sure my wife was happy with the right shoe, and stuck with us for as long as it was necessary until things worked out. We actually ended up walking out with a pair of shoes for myself as well, something I didn't expect!

Jason made our experience at Steed so great, we felt appreciated and important, and the way Jason took the time to walk us through every aspect of our needs made us feel like valued customers. Even though we live in Langley, we made our way to Steed Cycles because they have a great reputation in the city for being one of the best bike shops around, and I wasn't disappointed in the least. We're so glad we came here. Even though it's on the other end of the city, I really am not sure I'd want to go to any other bike shop for my cycling needs. They always have the stuff I'm looking for in stock (some other bike shops have chronic shortages of almost everything I'm looking for unfortunately) and now I found out just how awesome their staff are.

After we came home, I realized there was a slight error in the purchase price for the shoes I bought. I called Steed Cycles back, told them about the issue, and they promptly dealt with it over the phone. I forgot to get the person's name, but he was also wonderful to work with. As much as stock is important, you can carry the best bikes and have all the right stock of everything, but it's the little things like customer service, going the extra mile, and even making mistakes be a seamless effort to correct that builds trust with customers, and I really felt that was exemplified here.

Thanks Jason for helping us today, and thank you Steed Cycles for a great experience. Will most definitely be coming here far more often than is good for my wallet haha, and highly recommend Steed Cycles to anyone on the fence about this shop. 5+ stars in my opinion!

Speedy Shipping! I found a great price and placed an order online at 9pm on a Wednesday and it arrived on my doorstep before noon on Friday. Very happy to have my new toy for the weekend!

Ordered online and shipment was fulfilled under 12 hours and at my door in under 36. Free shipping was also nice. I'll definitely be using Steed in the future.

I made an online order of 2 fairly spendy bike specific stem and computer mount and goofed.
The mount was incorrect, and the correct one was sold out.

Somehow the staff located me the one little item needed to make my kit work and sorted me out.
The incorrect part was returned and now my bike is dialed in.

Above and beyond service for a customer at fault goof up.

Very knowledgeable staff and great customer service! They helped me to buy the right tools for my bike with really useful information and illustration to use them.

After waiting over two months for a local Edmonton shop to get my part from Surly and still getting excuses, I went online and ordered from Steed. My rack shipped same day Canada Post Expedited Parcel for free.

A pretty high end bike shop with very knowledgeable sales and repair staff. I had a few slip ups ordering parts, accessories, and helmets from them (of my own fault) and they were more than happy to work with me to get things right and in the right direction. They have a ton of lots of nice pricey bikes to get you dreaming about your next ride.

One of the few stores that have Retul, a digital sit bone mapping device to measure your optimal saddle, which confirmed what my bike fitter had recommend. Kit was also extremely helpful with the installation and unpretentious like some of the other places that I have been to. Would highly recommend checking this place out

I took time out of my day to commute down here. I was excited to test ride a few bikes and get some input on a prospective purchase. I was ready to spend thousands. No "hello" no "can I help you". Employees just chatted amongst themselves and I felt unwelcome and really awkward wandering aimlessly for 15 minutes. Perhaps they had an off day; however, other bike stores in the area were much more on the ball and sold me a bike within 20min. Thx for the reply. Got a new bike from another store on the North Shore- love it. No thanks, I've given you guys a few chances over the years- I walked out disappointed and ignored every time.

Dismissive and unhelpful. Poor customer service not willing to help people new to cycling. Very much felt a level of gate keeping.

I bought my first bike in Vancouver from Steed cycles and have been returning for any of my bike needs. The staff is knowledgeable, not a pressure sales situation, and you can tell the staff has fun. I was happy that the team was able to hold onto my bike after purchase as I was in the process of moving.

The experience just keeps getting better!

Consistently excellent service. Mechanics are top notch. They do minor repairs on the spot so super convenient. Definitely trust giving them my tri bike, gravel bike, or mtn bike for servicing.

I went to this store to buy the specialized turbo Vado sl 4.0 which is advertised as "in stock, ready to ship" on the Steed cycles website. When I asked the young salesperson about the bike, he told me that they don't have it. I said it shows available on the website, then he said oh we have it in our warehouse and I can bring it to you in 15 minutes. I said okay, I'll be back in 15 min. Then he asked me to come back in 25 min and I accepted. I went back 25 minutes later and the bike was not there. I waited 5 more minutes and the bike truck came back from the warehouse, but no one brought the bike for me. He kept me waiting another 15 minutes to take care of another customer! - While he knew that the bike was not even in the truck! - Finally, he came looking around the store again and told me that we don't know where is that bike! What! So he just wasted 45 minutes of my time to tell me that they don't have the bike!
Then he said we have it in the box, but he did not offer me to make it ready for a test ride and he did not even bother to apologize for his unprofessional service.
I wonder how easily this guy turns away a customer who wants to purchase a $6000 bike! Very unpleasant experience with this store.

This bike store has many nice bikes and the service was fantastic and friendly. I got a bike fit for my size and they have a wide variety of e mountain bikes to regular mtbs to road bikes. Would totally go again and the place is large as well.

I've been a Steed customer since Kim's first store in '97, and can't say enough good things, however this review is specifically about the service team. I LOATHE having someone else perform service on my bike (s). I'm a long-time mechanic, and generally have the tools and skills to address all but the most complex issues myself. A combination of supply-chain problems (parts and specialized tools), and the aforementioned complex issues recently left me with no choice but to ask for help.
Every single service team member I've dealt with over the past year has been amazing. They respond to emails quickly, helped me figure out several possible solutions to each issue (e.g. Options for fastest vs cheapest vs best long term fix), worked with me to minimize my bikes' downtime, gave advice even when their guidance didn't involve bringing the bike to them, and ALWAYS had my repairs ready before the promised date.
Being able to repair almost anything without outside assistance is a valuable skill, particularly when travelling or under tight time constraints, but based on my experience with Steed's team, I'm now far more inclined to bring more complex or time consuming repairs to them (eg.rebuilding a fork's compression damper). I know they will provide the best solution, not the one that is easiest or makes them the most money, the work will be done perfectly, and I won't be without my bike any longer than if I did the work myself.

Both my wife and I ended up purchasing our bikes here!

Great service from Jason. He was knowledgeable and helpful throughout the whole shopping process. He made the shopping experience extremely pleasant. I don't think we'll be going to another shop for future bike purchases!

Visited the shop for a pair of brake Pads, was helped by the shaved headed salesman who was apparently knowledgeable with bikes but lacked basic knowledge of customer service! I Not even a simple "Thank You "when he handed over the bill!
Though very visibly, regular customers were spared the grief.
Steed Cycles: I sincerely hope selective treatment is NOT your house rule!

Steed has been my go to shop for over 5 years. I recently purchased two new bikes at Steed and despite the impacts of Covid during the busy summer season, I got the bikes quickly from when I ordered them. All of the mechanics at Steed always go above and beyond to help me with any issues/tune-ups, and follow up if necessary. I've previously had various bike fits from professional labs and physios over the years, but have found Jeff to be my preferred bike fitter, which makes buying a bike at Steed and getting set up seamless and convenient. The sales staff are also all extremely knowledgeable and helpful regarding any gear and accessories in the shop. Paired with the community focus (i.e. Ride club, yoga nights, etc.) Steed is great and I recommend this shop to everyone.
