Stitch It Clothing Alterations

Today I visited your store in Richmond Centre. I don’t ever complain but only in times I’ve truly felt unheard and uncomfortable about a situation. I recently got new pants that needed some altercation. Originally, I just needed to know the pricing and maybe turn in my pants if the prices were great!

So I decided to walk in and seek some guidance.
As soon as I walk was into the store, no greet, no welcome, it was an immediate “we’re all on our break can you leave? ” There were about three- four employees maybe, and no costumers were inside and the doors were wide open. Honestly I couldn’t see if they were actually busy or doing anything, but when I came in all I heard was laughter from inside.
So all I asked to the lady with a red scarf, was for some pricing options before she kicks me out. I asked roughly the pricing again and her response was “can you leave? ”

So I did. With no help, with no…go this website, no response or even answer from her but we’re on our break…I asked kindly, with utmost respect. Then she locks the door, and leaves.

Now, let me give you some more insight. Richmond centre is a high functioning mall, with so many people from around the world, close to the airport, people are just everywhere. To shut down and lock your business for 30 mins to an hour during the peak of guests coming in…is ridiculous. To also just say “can you leave? ”… to kick me out… to not deliver a conversation between guest and employee, to lock the door right in front of me, and just absolute attitude and all I needed to know was pricing options…

You’re a store, you’re business that needs profits, and you want guests that will come again and again. Right? ! This was very upsetting experience for me, I wasn’t heard, I felt like a burden, and if this is what you want to truly represent your brand. By all means, but the costumer should always come first.

Got dress pants heamed the same day. Dropped off late morning and was ready for pick up same night.

The quality they have done was so bad. Hemming was so poorly done. And their debit/credit card machine is not working more than 2 weeks. Of course only taking cash! And after payment, they said they are not issuing payment receipt. (of course they could)

Workers are so rude. Don't know what's problem with this store.

Expensive and alterations weren't very good. Hemming came undone within 2 days and poor quality.

Brought in some cycling bib shorts to have the shoulder straps lengthened. The job was was done very well and service was good.

This review is about my last visit only on October 15. I have used Stitch It in the past for pants hemming and jacket sleeves alteration and they always did a good job, decent price and in the timeline given. But this time around, I brought in a hoody that had a rip on the side of the front pocket. I love this hoody and thought it was worth getting it fixed. I can appreciate that this fix was tricky with the size and location of the rip (right at the front) and that the alteration may show (I even mentioned I was ok if they were not able to fully conceal that alteration), but I was NOT expecting it to show even more after repair. They sure took care of the issue, but it's hard to believe that aesthetically, that's the best they could do? Very disappointed this time around. I gave 3 stars keeping in mind past positive experiences and the quick service, but would have given a one star review only for this specific visit and the quality of the work unfortunately.

I was very happy with the work done and the efficiency. The only thing stopped me from giving the full five stars is I just feel in general they could have been a little more friendly.

I was not happy about the result so I wanted them to redo it. But they asked me to pay again! What about 30 day satisfaction guarantee? Very frustrating!

They did a terrible job on my clothing. The old woman who works there barely spoke to me or smiled at all, seemed to not even care about the customer. I don't know if they are lazy to do a proper job or what, but barely anything was done and they charged me over $40. When I told them it was not right they said they would charge me again to fix it.
I recommend going to Walter the Tailor. He is a friendly gentleman who actually took time with me. He is not lazy and will put in the required work.

I have taken 2 items that were lace and needed to be hand done to Stitch It. In both cases, they did a beautiful job and were also prompt and courteous.

The tailors at Stitch-It did such a good job altering my wool coat. They managed to take it down a full size while preserving the oversized feel, pockets, and slits in the design, which I can imagine wasn’t an easy job! Thank you!

A fantastic place to get alterations done! The service was incredibly quick, convenient, and reasonably priced! I just happened to walk by when needing a pair of jeans fixed, but I will now be making the trip whenever i need something altered. Would highly recommend!

The lady who took my measurements was very nice and attentive to my needs. It took a week until my jean jacket was ready for pickup. I was informed of the estimated timeframe during my initial visit.

They always deliver when promised and the job is always well done!

Not ready at my designated pickup time and they hadn’t even started working on it yet. They told me I had to wait for an hour to get it. They’ve had it for a few days already. If they knew it wasn’t going to be done for my pickup time why wouldn’t they just call me and let me know, they have my contact info. I don't mind so much if it's late just communicate so I don't show up and it's not ready.

Such a waste of time

They were quick and the quality was good! They were also flexible when we told them we needed by a certain date for a wedding.

I was hesitant to bring in some pants for waist altering as I was worried they would mess it up. However, the lady did an amazing job and the measurements were taken quickly and I picked up the pants a week later! It was my first time visiting and I will definitely be back I would imagine a hemming or other services being even faster! High recommend
