Stomping Grounds Cafe & Bistro

We went for a walk on the nearby trails then stopped for lunch at Stomping Grounds where we had the Osprey Panini and latte. Both were delicious. We sat outside in the sun and enjoyed the amazing location. Highly recommend the Stomping Grounds Cafe & Bistro for the food and atmosphere.

The BEST place for a delicious coffee and a treat. All the baked goods, sandwiches and soups are so good! My personal favourite sandwich is the osprey panini. They do also have a delicious new salad with Cajun chicken which I love. Everyone that works there is so lovely and friendly!

The location is good. Nice view of the river. The food looks good but decided on the macaroons. Tasty. Coffee was good but we had to clean our own table

Tried the grilled cheese and Mozzarella avocado sun-dried tomatoes sandwich with pesto, they were both amazing. The tropical Mango was not as expected though, but it was ok. The place was super hot. We didn't eat inside.

Was looking forward to getting a hot drink yesterday, but.when the guy making drinks didn't even acknowledge the customer in front of me and after waiting several minutes for at least apologizing for the delay, I walked out. It looked like there was one person in the kitchen preparing food and one guy out front. The cafe wasn't particularly busy. I get it - short staffed, or whatever, the least the barista could have done was looked up for a second and acknowledge the customers waiting in line. Not impressed.

Very "upscale". A perfect place to people watch. A incredible view right by the water. Perfect place to stop for coffee.

Cute little coffee shop right by the water and a walking trail. Great coffee. Limited goodies to choose from but the peanut butter chocolate was so yummy

One of my favourite cute and cozy coffee shops! Great location with friendly staff.their sandwich selections are my personal favourite.

Cafe provides zero garbage bins inside or out, and customers are forced to discard the tons of rubbish using the city's bins. These bins outside the cafe are constantly overflowing, forcing the city workers to spend extra time and expense subsidizing Stomping Ground's mountain of trash.

Blatant disregard for waste and recycling regulations seems to be the method of operation, while the city turns a blind eye.

How about some pics showing where your customers can recycle their compostables? When was the last time you saw a customer walk into the cafe to dispose a paper cup on a trolly? You admit the garbage piles up in the city's bin.why don't you provide your own bins (garbage and recycling) on the patio?

My latte was amazing, my sandwich, I don't know. My daughter and I both had their club sandwich/panini. It tasted good, but we both had the worst stomach pains and gas for several hours after. It was the only common denominator.

Really nice coffee shop in a great location. Good food and nice atmosphere. Popular with cyclists and walkers, very close to the paths along the river and the village green.

Weekends are too busy. They can't handle the volume. Ordered a wrap (that was in display case). All they had to do was warm it up. IT TOOK 20 minutes.kind of ridiculous. 2 items from the menu weren't available. And then they take 20 minutes to warm up a wrap? Next door, there is a much nicer place with excellent food, with very nice owners, that is not a zoo like Stomping grounds. I always get frustrated. Now they lost my business. Not that they'd care.

I think I've met my future wife here. In my books, this place is pretty damn good. Thank you Stomping Grounds. Thank you.

Really cute cafe right by the water. The brunch options are delicious - a few vegan and vegetarian options, too! Not crazy busy which is nice. Outdoor seating for when it gets warm too!

Me and my aunt and mum came here for brunch and we were super excited because the food looks amazing! But it didn't really seem like the sit down place that we thought it was and there were only pre made wraps and desserts in the front. It wasnt very obvious if we were supposed to sit down and ask for a menu or order at the front? And nobody else was eating the sit down brunch so it wasnt very clear what to do so we left

Gave my wife and I the tofu breakfast wrap instead of the bacon.we got it to go because there was nowhere to sit and didn't figure it out until we got home.there's nowhere to stand and wait for your coffee without being in everyone's way.nice location but they nee a bigger cafe space desperately.this is in the winter I can't imagine what it will be like in the summer.

A great latte destination and an amazing assortment of fresh lunch-y goods and baked goods to choose from.all from a tiny little kitchen. Popular with the locals as well as the cyclists and walkers traversing the river trails. Just wish they were open longer hours.then I'd give them 5 stars!

Great spot along the water. Really good sandwiches and excellent coffee. Popular little spot but worth a short wait to grab a table and have something to eat.
