Stong's Market

Best quality and variety I've found for the price in Lower Mainland. Not quite as expensive as WF, but certainly more than Superstore. You get what you pay for, and I find Stongs to be a great happy medium. I love all the local products here too.

I love these unique little stores. You can find locally made items, giftware, floral items, etc.

Best store on the North Shore! Love their fresh sandwiches to go. Staff is happy and friendly too!

Best place for a quick lunch if you're indecisive as they literally have anything you can think of, ready to eat!

We bought a carrot cake from this store that had today's date on it, but the cake was very stale. They should not put today's date on a cake that was baked a few days ago. This is deceiving people.considering high prices, quality is not good enough in this store

Love this store. Amazing selection of foods and great gifts. Prices are a bit higher than other stores, but worth it, as the employees are all super helpful and genuinely seem happy and they carry lots of great, local brands.

Stongs just keep getting worse and worse. Its run by a bunch of teenagers who are in properly trained; nobody ever answers the phone (so why do they have one?) The produce is horrible however the deli and meat counter are great. The pizza bar is another sad story. All in all, very frustrating store.

I come here for lunch sometimes and a few things have gotten worse while getting more expensive. I used to love the egg salad but now it isnt very good. The chocolate muffins used to be my absolute favourite but I had one today and it was super disappointing. I dont know what's changed recently but the quality has gone down with quite a few things.

Really good quality.
Food for lunch are amazing but $$$. I bougth a cheese cake for a birthday party (it was delicious).
They have very pretty things and good quality but is true is expensive.

Milk 10 days past the best before date still on the shelf.

My bad for not checking before buying, your bad for not checking as well. Who is responsible for the dairy section? One or two days is understandable, but 10 is more than a week.

Started shopping at Stongs cuz I moved to the area and I've been pleasantly surprised by how friendly the staff are - it's very unlike a typical grocery store. I love the emphasis Stongs puts on selling local products and the little fridge that was left out over Christmas so staff could have a couple of days off without people being unable to grab last minute items. The one thing that's really hammered home my love of Stongs are the little labels that identify gluten and dairy free foods. I'm not sure if this was implemented during COVID so people don't need to pick up items and read labels or has always existed, but I'm undergoing some medical testing and on a strict diet and these labels have made shopping infinitely easier. It's so appreciated.

I was surprised to see the store changed a lot since my last visit. I like it a lot better now than before as the produce area has a lot more choices and the veggies are much more fresh looking. The other areas are also reflected these changes. I will switch to buy from Stong's instead of Wholefood from now on. Also the pricing is more reasonable and I like the reward points.

High, gouging prices. $10 for a small conventional blueberries. Whole foods has a LARGER, ORGANIC one for $7.

Favorite community grocery store with local, BC brands - shopping local never felt better. Great selection of fresh produce and food with an amazing flower department - ask for STEMS! They do the best flower arrangements!

The best neighbourhood grocery store. They carry lots of specialty items not available at big chain stores.

This is a really complete grocery with a large selection of excellent quality goods. You'll find unique gourmet items with deli, a great coffee bar, fresh pizza. You'll find vegan, keto and gluten-free food that a carnivore would eat. That staff are always so helpful and nice. Anytime I'm near Dollarton, this is my happy place.

Well it's not for the third class citizen, more for the rich but all and all terrific food and customer service.

Lots of vegan goodies that are clearly identified as such. If only all stores did this. Some things are more expensive than other stores though which is a shame.

Nothing compares to the feel of a local grocery! You can just feel the good vibes at Stongs with staff liking their jobs rubbing off on me. While aisles are a tad narrow and require manners and passing skills, the product variety is excellent, produce area is large and I saw at least 3 eco Friendly/ natural products (i bought JackN Jill Kids toothpaste) in dog poo bags and candy section at the till. Stongs is thinking about the environment and going to paper/natural bags. Parking is no problem so get over there and support local! Nice place.

Thought it was great. Perfect size, great selection and well priced. Friendly staff and solid service. Will be coming back regularly.

Decent selection of vegan and organic foods - can't speak to the meat dept, avoid it for obvious reasons. The produce selection is good for a smaller store. Good selection of bread. Not a huge store, which is nice compared to those massive warehouse type stores. Very tidy and nice, friendly staff. Doing good COVID-19 protocols ie cleaning shopping carts and baskets, sanitizer available for customers. Have store card so you can collect points for future discount, similar to Choices Markets. Prices are high but that's pretty much the norm everywhere. Buying when they have specials helps. Plenty of free parking.

Worst costumer service I’ve experience in Vancouver. Staff is super entitle, lots of attitude, no politeness or kindness.aspiring “future stars” about to be “discovered” I guess.there’s no warmth or welcome, like robots. Avoid if you can, superstore is close and At least staff will greet you and smile when they deal with you

Stongs Market has EVERYTHING! LITERALLY! Fresh ingredients, exotic ingredients, premade meals, a coffee bar, deli, butcher, bakery. Everything.

This is a lovely place to shop! There is a really interesting selection of products to buy and wonderful specialty items. The flower and gift department is awesome! I love the take home pizza’s. The egg salad sandwiches from the deli are the next best thing other than having my Mom’s.and she makes the best! The bakery is delightful with a ton of delicious offerings. The staff are all very friendly and helpful! I always have a pleasant experience here.

Great selection of natural foods and products. Prices are a little high, but I usually expect that for well made natural and local products. Great bakery and deli too.

Best grocery store in north van. They have a very good selection of organic and natural foods and the staff are so friendly. Coffee shop is great too:)

It was first time for us to have their delivery service. We are pleased for their excellent service. We received the goods that we ordered. Every item was of good quality.
Driver was very friendly and came on time.
As seniors (we are in 80 – and 80+) we were not good for on line shopping. Mr. Tyler, who is in charge of delivery service, was very friendly accepting the order by phone and email. It is very convenient to seniors especially during this pandemic time. We will continue to have our daily grocery shopping with Stong Express Delivery service.

Some nice items but unfortunately just too costly to justify shoping here. Canadian superstore down the road is much better bang for buck.

Sunday, Nov. 1st, I walked into Stong’s for the first time. First of all, the young lady at the coffee bar nicely directed me to the loo.
I bought 2 small cups of medium roasted coffee, cheese scone & chocolate muffin which I shared with my daughter who was queuing at Arcteryx. We both agreed the coffee was really, really good. The cheese scone was deelish, the choc muffin, not so much.
If I ever happen to come by this area I will most certainly buy the coffee beans/ grind of medium roasted coffee.

Great selection of specialty goods & day to day items. The floral department always has a beautiful choice of fresh & live flowers & plants, and of course they make a great matcha latte at the coffee corner!

Great selection! We also tried the sirloin steak wrapped in bacon with potatoes and sweet potatoes and it was delicious. The steak was so tender!

Came to Stong's for the first time and it was a very nice store lovey staff. Had an amazing cashier named Sareena help me and we had a great conversation and she had great customer service skills. Would definitely come back and shop here and hope to have Sareena help me out again.

Nice little neighbourhood grocery story. A little on the pricier side but the staff is exceptional. Alwaya very friendly, helpful and always smiling. Short line to get in to the store today, young lady at the entrance was handing out bottled water. Nice touch as it was very hot today so thank you for that!

A store that really goes the extra mile to support local products & businesses. You can find interesting local products here that you will not find anywhere else. The team here is amazing as well. Very friendly and welcoming.

I love the store stongs but the manager of replenish, the cafe is rude and ignorant, it made me not want to shop at stongs anymore.

Pretending to be premium like Whole Foods, but more expensive and poor quality in every aspects. I'd rather drive 5-10mins to Whole Foods once a week.

Great smaller supermarket with all the essentials that you need. The best is that its easily navigatable and perfect for a fast efficient shopping visit. Good meats and produce, great selection of pastries and cheese and a cute coffee shop, Replenish, within the store with seating if you want to take a breather during your busy day or want to hook up with a friend. I love the tuna sandwiches that are ready to go.perfect quick lunch!

Lots of parking, in a nice strip mall with lots of other small shops. Well organized and has lots of essentials. There lunch options are good and healthy.

Very nice and helpful staff but pricing here is way out of control. If you need a couple fast things make the stop sure but at these prices you are better off driving to whole foods!

Local grocery store with great employees. Produce is fresh, many baked goods made in-store, and the store is clean and organized. We shop there frequently.

Nice market with with good produce and all then fixens including a smoothie bar. Slightly expensive but better then nesters.
