My barber and all the staff were very nice and welcomed us. My haircut was done nicely and I liked it. I would recommend this place for haircuts!

I called and asked for my daughter's haircut, they didn't even book the appointment in the name of her and when I went there they said they do not cut girls hair

Today I went to Straight 8 barbers and my barber was NICK. He accidentally injured his finger while giving me a haircut and because of that, my hairstyle was not exactly what I wanted. He is such a nice guy that although my hairstyle was not the one that I wanted (I still liked the final result), he did not let me pay for the haircut. I asked multiple times to pay as I really did not want to go away with a free haircut but he just did not let me pay. I really feel bad. Couldn't do anything so I thought I should write a review here. NICK, if you're reading, Thanks a lot for the awesome haircut, and take care of your finger brother. See you soon again. Got exactly what I wanted, fresh fade and a beard trim. Abdul even brought out a massage gun after because my back hurt. I will definitely be coming back.

Just unreal! Hamid was the barber my had! He was fantastic! My man has never had the whole treatment, and he seriously delivered hot towels! Great shave threaded uni brow, amazing men’s cut, perfect hair cut, my man has weird cow licks And thick wiry hair! Hamid made it look best it has! Highly highly highly recommend 100/10 5 stars!

Best haircuts I've gotten. Hamid is a pro and values my time. He can give me a haircut in 20 minutes other barbers would take an hour to do. I messed up my appointment yesterday he saw me anyways between clients. Good man. In and out in 15 minutes, no nonsense. Fresh fade. Best in the business.

Hamid and the rest of the staff are so amazing and friendly. They make you feel very welcome when in the shop amd in the chair. My boys dont like getting their hair cut but Hamid made them both feel very welcome and now they don't mind the suggestion of getting it done every 2 weeks. Fantastic job Hamid.

The best barbershop in town, both the locations. I've been coming to them for more than 2 years now and they entertain you as the best. They have the best fades and shave and you always leave the store feeling fresh.

Ive been coming here for a couple of years now and have am a regular client of Sina. Always had excellent service and once you sit in that chair, Sina Takes care of you as if he’s your brother! I had a barber that I used on the island in Victoria, moving back to Kamloops I was worried I wouldn’t find someone that cared as much as Uomo. STRAIGHT 8 not only met my expectations but blew them out of the water. Fava and her team are second to none in Kamloops.

Amazing experience, got a great haircut and after a couple days I didn’t like the style, phoned and asked if I could book a new appointment to get another haircut. They honoured my previous cut and gave me a fix-up for free. Great establishment and very friendly employees. Best haircut I’ve gotten in 10 years in Kamloops!

Fava & her team are fabulous! They make you feel so comfortable, offer an amazing experience & ensure your needs are met! They even added fun colourful braids to my daughter's hair at the end of her cut! She is thrilled!

Appointment was 15 minutes late, owner was flippant and rude. Unpleasant experience, would not go again.

10/10 service, pricing is on point, and most importantly their haircuts are the best in town. I’ve been to almost every shop in Kamloops, and this is the best I’ve had.

Hamid is a man that knows his trade very well. I’m very happy with my cut and the level of detail he puts in. This is not super cuts where they’re getting you in and out Hamid puts in the effort for those little details that make all that much more difference. I’ll be back

Straight 8 Barbers did not disappoint. I've never known what to do with my hair, especially since it started thinning a couple years ago, and nobody was able to recommend anything to me at my usual haircutting salon. Fava (the store owner) asked if she could try something different and I let her do her work. It's the best haircut I've ever had done by real professionals. It cost more than your typical "run of the mill" Salon, but you definitely get what you pay for, and the staff is very friendly. I will be going back and recommend them to anyone.

I went to see Yvonne. She was awesome and very accommodating. She cut my thinning curly hair exactly as I asked and made it look great. The hot towel and massage is over the top! No more paying $80 for a hair cut also!

Hamid was awesome! I had a full head shave, beard clean-up, threading, and nose wax (it really doesn't hurt much). He took the time to make sure all was perfect and a good guy to talk to. Highly recommended.

Great customer service. Beyond what I was expecting. Hamid was friendly, professional and one of the more skilled barbers I have had. Clean haircut, excellent beard trim and hot shave. Plus a nice little shoulder massage. Will be back again.

Second time today, Jordan was awesome and super friendly. Everything went well except I didn't able to get the full service as the one who booked over the phone only booked for my hair cut.

Last year my dad decided to try out this barber shop, he enjoyed the service so much that he recommended that I try coming here for a haircut. Now this is where I always go for a haircut when I can. Today Hamid did a really good job and cut my hair exactly the way I wanted him to do it. Will be going back again.

Can't say enough good things about this place, took my 3.5 year old for a cut and he was terrified holding onto mom almost didn't even want one.and fava had him giggling and smiling at the end and his hair looks amazing. I reccomened her to anyone with children! She will not disappoint! He even got a little massage and some smelly stuff like dad for his hair and it smells like bubblegum! 5 stars pfft.she deserves 10!

Everywhere else was completely booked up for a few days and Straight 8 was pretty busy as well but i explained i had an event coming up later that day and ive been searching for a barber all day. The guy was super nice and took me in to give me a quick touch up and made conversation the whole time with me. Always love going here.

Place is good, people are friendly but at the end of the day, I have to be honest about the haircut I received, the guy was nice, but he was clearly training and doesn't know his job.
So I asked how long he was working, he said it's been few weeks. I kept an open mind, and
He messed up my hair twice and when he realized that he asked for help and the lady (owner) was clearly not impressed with her employee. She started to speak in a different language and clearly giving him trouble for what he did. She had to take over and trying to fix the situation.
She did what she could but at that time it was too late to fix.
I was very disappointed.

Can’t recommend this place enough! 100% go and ask for Amir! Went today for the first time and loved the experience and the cut! Lots of small extras (warm towels, short shoulder massage) that add up to a great experience. Amir was easy to chat with, and he does a stellar job with whatever you need! Easily the best value haircut around, and will definitely be coming back here thanks to him!

Straight 8 Barbers is in my opinion the best Barbershop in town. There service and the price cannot be matched by any other shop in town, it is just fantastic. I personally got one of the best skin fades from Fava and I was impressed by the service and environment. One advice from my side is that book in Advance on Booksy app as there is a rush on few of the weekdays to get service at the time you want.

Incredible experience! She is great! She made time for me as a walk-in at the end of the day and I felt like she gave me the star treatment. Fava has been doing my hair for more than 10 years, I have never had a better experience than I do with her. Every style she has ever given me from a pixie to a full cut and color has been amazing, I wouldn't change her for the world. She is personable, outgoing, and honest, and has mastered her craft very well.

I have never had a cut and shave like this before. All other places seem to only cut what they want and send you on your way not caring about you or what you wanted done. Fava gives you exactly what you want and more.
A classic cut and shave in a world of electric razors is some of the old school that this generation needs.

Fava, is the best! I get my hair cut every two weeks, and she does it perfectly every time!
I don't have to try explaining my cut to a new person every time. I sit down and she know exactly what I want.
She also makes appointments which is a huge bonus for me as I don't have to sit in a line wasting time.

WOW. THIS GIRL IS THE REAL DEAL. I’ve been looking for a real barber in Kamloops for years. I’m so happy I found edges. She does such a good job. Doesn’t miss a single detail. So much attention to detail I felt 10 years younger when I left. Very nice and can carry on an intelligent conversation. All equipment is clean.
No other barber in Kamloops has ever done a proper straight razor shave like she does. Her prices were too low for the service she offers. Tip her well.
