Wish I had read the soft serve ice cream reviews here before spending almost $10 on an ice cream cone! I was ready for something delicious, similar to Uji Time Dessert in San Francisco (A MUST TRY WHICH MAKES THE MOST DELICIOUS SOFT SERVE FRESH MADE WAFFLE CONES), but this was a huge waste of my money and disappointment, I actually ended up throwing out half of it because I just didn't like it. What I was expecting, was a freshly made waffle cone, but their waffle was soggy and sad and tasted like it was made 6 hours earlier. Their ice cream tasted like ice and was terrible.

Not the best Taiyaky I have tried. They advertise it as a croissant texture, but is not crunchy and not an amazing flavor. The ice cream is sundae style, not my favorite either. The place is nice, tho. They also have some deals with mini stuffed bears, and the staff is friendly.

Should have read the reviews before purchasing. Like some people have posted. It tasted weird and nauseating. Never again.

BEWARE - Stuffies Pastries are no long gluten free or vegan. They have a 'new and improved' recipe, which just a regular dough with wheat flour, eggs, etc. There is not clear enough signage to indicate this. I nearly bought them last week (I have a gluten allergy) and just out of habit, I double checked with the cashier to verify they were gluten free. She said they no longer are, and pointed to a small sign. Very disappointing.

There are very few desserts that I dislike and will not finish. This place’s crotais are one of them. Advertised as crispy, flaky, and buttery, the ones i had were nothing like that. Instead, they were chewy, hard, and stale. 0/10 would not recommend. I had the blueberry one and my partner had the vanilla. Absolute waste of money and stomach space.

So good, I'm not a fan of custard but the Cinnamon crotai was exceptional. Stuffies were pretty darn good too. Would recommend

Really cute gift option! I would definitely recommend eating them fresh if possible. And I would also suggest trying the Cherry flavour before you buy multiple, they are not everyone's cup of tea. The vanilla and chocolate are great and I would love to try their bigger baked goods soon too.

Like a filled bubble waffle, but it’s a bear. Would definitely taste better if it were fresh/warm, but since they serve them room temp, it was only ok.

Custard filling is alright, but the taste is incredibly artificial.

DON'T ORDER THE ICE CREAM!

I ordered 3 it's not made of milk but in the pictures looks like regular ones.

It melts right away, so messy and taste we ended up throw it in the trash right away.

I wish I could try the stuffed pastries but Im afraid to get similar experience.

Very disappointed in the vanilla filling - tasted like those low cal instant vanilla pudding. Not milky creamy. Bad taste and bad texture. Maybe other flavours are better.

Bought a box of day old cro-tai. They were all delicious even as day-old. We reheated one in the oven at home and it was crispy and tasted fresh! My only concern is that we got a tuna salad one instead of Thai chicken, due to mislabeling. But I have no allergies and it was still delicious anyway, so not really a complaint on my end.

I think like most people, I tried this place because the treats looked cute. The little stuffies were okay, but some tasted a bit stale and I feel like the individual packaging is quite wasteful. The ice cream taiyaki was honestly disgusting. I got the chocolate one and the chocolate skewer and chocolate chunk in there tasted really cheap. The ice cream itself was watery and kind of flavourless and I wish I’d asked what flavour it was. I ended up throwing it out after tasting the cone, which was rock hard.

There is not that much people. Usually you can order and leave very quickly. The ice cream has no milky flavour but is very smooth and have no ice flakes. The vanilla custard you have to eat it fresh or else it will taste old but the chocolate custard is ok even if you eat if after a day.

I strongly believe the staff there need to learn ABC Customer Service as they are extremely rude (morning shift). This ruined the whole experience.

I’ve eaten lots of taiyaki before so buying a 24 pack for guests without trying one first or reading reviews seemed like a no brainer. These are not taiyaki! Though they appeared fresh, these were super stale. It’s probably the fact that they’re gluten free and vegan, which I didn’t bother to acknowledge because when you buy something that looks like taiyaki, you just expect them to taste like taiyaki. But even as far as gluten free vegan (I used to be one) goes, the dough was terrible. Dry and crumbly with no crunch to the exterior. Warming them up didn’t help at all, just caused me to burn my lip on the filling.

The plastic wrapping is terribly unnecessary too. It’s not like there’s any freshness here to preserve.

On the plus side, my guests still ate them and voiced no complaints. The fillings were nice too.

I've previously gone to Stuffies in Surrey once, and went here few times just for snacking.

The taiyaki here didn't taste much like original gold fish bun I've had in Korea. It was just oily thick Crotai in a flakey texture without red bean. I prefer the original taiyaki which is crispy on the outside filled with red beans. I guess the red bean filled Taiyaki might not be popular in here.

Their icecream tasted odd. I was hoping there was some dairy instead it tasted vegan. The shell was dry like cardboard. Mochi was pretty dry it tasted old. The overall presentation looked cute for Instagram, but it was tasteless in my personal opinion. I honestly had the better experience buying a coffee and Stuffies combo in Surrey. I might just stick to small Stuffies or the combo deal instead.

We order the chocolate heaven cause it look so good and it cost $7 so disappointed. The waffle you can taste that they put a lot of baking soda and it’s hard to bite. The ice cream was so bad it’s not even that good.

A great pickup snack option and value for money! I managed to snag some Nutella Crotai, Vanilla Stuffies and an Oat Milk Latte for 8 bucks which I thought was a great deal! The joint is a modern, quirky and laid back vibe serving yummy Gluten free and Vegan baked pastries which is what drew me in.
The food was super yummy, real tasty and ensure to enjoy them whilst their hot and fresh! I initially thought they were Taiyaki たい焼き and the reason I immediately had to check it out. They test pretty similar and I would strongly (hint) recommend them whipping up some rad red azuki bean options which would be awesome. Light and fluffy, non greasy and leaves you craving more.the Nutella is far better than vanilla in my opinion. Stuffing to Pastry ratio is also plentiful and generous. This joint is just what metropolis needed!

I like it but I don’t love it, although it would be a nice treat for kids as they are so cute! I have tried the vanilla and mango fillings and they’re okay + theirs oat latte which so far is the one thing that I would l buy again. The place is cute tho something new to try.

Very disappointed as they are using canned blueberry jam (artifical colorings). For the price would expect quality; hence, over priced and taste wise not good either. Rather prefer the traditional red bean stuffed fish pastry and more reasonable price (like those from night market or Korean super market).

I expected the taste to be something else when I first heard about this place. But after trying it, it was really surprising and delicious. They sell mini waffle-like pastries that have various flavors and are also vegan/gluten free. They are usually wrapped which I find more convenient to share with people (during covid and all). Unfortunately, they only have 2 flavors per week but regardless it's worth coming back for. Their "Crotai's" are really good too, I tried the Nutella one, but be careful cause the filling gets everywhere. Honestly don't understand the bad reviews.

Iced mocha barely has ice on it. The vanilla-filled small bear pastries are not good. I regret buying a whole box of it.

One of the workers (looks like the owner of the store as they were not wearing uniform and seemed older looking than the rest) was not using gloves to make the items that are being served to us. Like as though he doesn’t know we are in a pandemic. Every other staff member was using gloves except the one making the item and packaging the item. And they took unusually long to serve their items.

Unfortunately something is quite off about the pastries here. The filling and pastry shell is inconsistent and either dry, raw, sometimes overfilled, sometimes under sweetened. I have tried this place a few times hoping it was just stemming from the business newly opening, but sadly there hasn’t been any improvement. The experience and packaging is consistent with other franchise mall chains like Mrs. Fields.

Got the orient express and all the soft serve melts so quickly and taste like oatmeal milk? The taste is just strange, also the cone was rock hard and didn’t even taste good. Also around $7 per ice cream
