I love Christie's skills. She is real expert, and it is not pain even doing sensitive part, though.

I've been with Christie for more than 5 years + and I love how gentle she is with waxing. She is so knowledgeable and I would highly recommend her.

I have been here many times since 2022, always do sugaring/ wax brazilian with Katie C. And she is amazing, always kind and done her job perfectly. But when I visited last time, i didn’t see her name on the list so I decided to try a different wax lady Claire O. The process was not very painful, but I was a little surprised that she didn't use any powder. But when she finished, I felt burned down there. Attitude was okay. I have some ingrown hairs and short hairs, and she offered to tweezer which is good. I thought she was doing a good job there. But the day after, all the area’s skin is peeling really bad and dry! I’ve never had this happen before, so i don’t think it’s because the sugar or wax. Just be aware that! Might not come here again. Disappointed

Booked for 18: 30pm and make me wait until 18: 45 without any explanation no apologies. Receptionist got upset to me while I was asking for action. She can't check inside and there is no way to communicate. After 18: 46 technician got out and both of them looked at me weird way. I am the one who waited without notice and still no sorry. Very rude. Check cctv. I never have experienced this kind of service.

I went to this place to get my first ever Brazilian sugaring and I was quite nervous initially as I wasn't familiar with either Brazilian sugaring or waxing. Christie really did an amazing job and the whole procedure was quick and with minimal pain sensation (it was more like very mild discomfort instead of pain to me). The place itself is very nice, clean, and bright and everyone there was friendly and professional. I will be coming back to Sugarbox for my all my future hair removal appointments and I'd recommend Sugarbox to anyone looking for a great waxing/sugaring place in Vancouver.

I had my first visit to Sugarbox just over a month ago, and 30+ days later I have barely any hair regrowth, it's amazing! I made the change from hard wax to sugaring and the difference is night and day, barely any pain, and I would always have new hair growth within 2 weeks so it's crazy that I have barely anything almost 2 month later! Christie is so sweet, gentle and thorough, I'm so happy that I chose to have her as my esthetician!

I live fairly far from sugarbox, and have tried to find a good waxing place near my house, but no where else I've tried compares to them so I keep coming back. They have the cleanest facility I've seen in Vancouver, and their waxers are super thorough, professional and low pain.

A very welcoming space with super friendly staff. Love that they offering sugaring. Once I tried it, I couldn't go back. It was less painful and less irritating. Christie was super friendly and accommodating, explaining how they do the sugaring process, making the experience very comfortable. The atmosphere is very welcoming and friendly. I haven’t gotten waxed in a while and was nervous going into my appointment, but all the ladies were really nice and ensured I felt comfortable throughout the whole process. Christine was super sweet and professional; I think she could tell I was a bit nervous so she kept the conversation going, which really helped ease my mind and nerves. Highly recommend this place for your waxing needs! The place is clean and staff are friendly. Appointments can be easily booked online. Christie is my go to esthetician. She is super sweet and professional. Her skills with both hard wax and soft wax are great. I rarely feel any pain during my services. If you are looking for a bikini wax, you should definitely ask for her!

I've been seeing Christie for years! She is one of the kindest and most genuine estheticians I know. She always does an amazing job. I am happy that I can continue to get waxed by her in Yaletown. I’ve been to Sugar box a few times and have had amazing service from all the people I’ve been sugar waxed by, but I must say getting waxed by Christie. N has been by far the best waxing experience I’ve ever had.

Jacqueline is THE best. Professional and personable. I have been to a lot of other spas prior to meeting Jacqueline, and none of the other estheticians come close. I have been a client of hers for decades now. If this is the type of service you are looking for, honestly, I wouldn't go to anyone else.

Came in for a bikini sugaring, the girl said the hair was too short to remove, I was out of there in 3 mins. She still charged me for a full bikini even though she wasn’t able to remove anything…will not be going back

First time ever waxing anything on my body, I tried out sugarbox. I have been back multiple times since then. I have recommended Sugarbox to my friends and now, they are regulars too. The experience is painful but the results are amazing, the people there are also amazing. They make you feel so comfortable the entire time. Had my first sugaring experience at Sugarbox and I must say I'll never go back to traditional waxing again. The technician made me feel comfortable, she was effecient and gentle. I felt some pain as expected but nothing like the pain from hot waxing strips! Highly recommend trying Sugarbox out! I'll definitely be back!

So bloody painful! I received sugar waxing on my underarms and legs. It was my first time having sugar waxing done, so a little extra pain is expected but this was the most painful experience of my life. Unfortunately, it didn’t get all the hair out either which made it not really worth it. It’s been 3 weeks now so the hair has started growing back, which is expected but now, I’m finding my legs are bumpy and my leg is actually quite sensitive. The process was long and gruelling and while the technician was nice enough, she wasn’t sympathetic, didn’t give me 1,2,3s, breathe in or outs, just nothing. Overall the experience wasn’t great and I’m not terribly ecstatic about the result so I won’t be having sugar waxing done again. I don’t think it’s sugarbox’s fault, their place was cute and clean and all, it’s just sugar waxing was not what I expected and wouldn’t recommend.

Sugarbox wax is amazing! The staff always make me feel comfortable and are very friendly and professional. Katie and Megan are the ladies i see most of the time and they are awesome! They are easy to chat with and they seem to really enjoy their jobs and connecting with their clients. The shop itself is small, cute and gives a home-like feeling. Great people, great service.

Was extremely disappointed with my bikini sugar at Sugarbox. My sugar lady did bare minimum when it came to the service. There was no aftercare or before care products, she also did not tweeze to remove any remaining / missed hairs (in my opinion if I'm paying $60 for you to get rid of my hair, all of the hair I want gone should be removed). I was instructed to "wipe any residual sugar off with the wipes in the corner" (having communal plastic wipe container seems extremely unsanitary in my opinion, normally salons have warmed towels). On top of all of this my right side had way more hair removed then on my left making the bikini lines extremely crooked. When I returning home I had to spend a decent amount of time removing remaining hair and correcting the lines so I didn't have a visible zig zag. Prices are not available when booking online so be prepared to spend way more than what a sugar normally costs. I will not be returning.

I am a regular client at Sugarbox and have always received the best service. I come here for all my waxing and sugaring needs and I am never disappointed. Both Megan and Katie are amazing as they always pay close attention to detail, are super professional and make me feel comfortable. The salon is super cute, clean and welcoming. I have been going to see Megan at Sugarbox for a little while now and I can't say enough good things about her. She is a lovely human, takes her time, is very professional and thorough, gives you great tips to make the sugaring process easier. I could go on and on! Don't hesitate to book with Megan if you are looking to try sugaring (so much better than waxing!).

I’ve gone here a few times, it was always a friendly encounter other than this last one. I had a very busy day with work and called to change my appointment time. It was no issue. I then went to call to reschedule again by 10 minutes and was cut off saying I was 5 minutes past my original appointment time. She said I never called to reschedule, when I did, and she failed to hear me out on needing another 10 minutes to get downtown. I’m rushing 35minutes away to get to the appointment on time only to be told as I’m a block away that she’s not taking me. I would be okay with this if whoever was working was cooperative and not extremely rude over the phone. I’m now 35minutes away from work, without a wax, and extremely unhappy. Total waste of time as I would have gladly compensated her for being understanding.

The staff are so kind and friendly, which makes sugaring even less painful. The sugaring isn’t too painful to begin with so chatting with the technicians makes it almost enjoyable!

I’ve been here once and had a great experience. Katie is awesome! I usually find waxing painful but she was quick, thorough and very gentle making the appointment a total breeze.

I really love going to sugarbox to get my brows done, Megan is so great, she asked all the questions to make sure we were aiming for the same results, she was also very gentle and made sure that after our first appointment I knew how to take care of my skin afterwards.

This is a great waxing boutique. They are professional and friendly. They do a great job with minimizing the pain of waxing. You can book appointments online which is very convenient. I always recommend my friends! Even brought my boyfriend here!

My first session was great; my technician did an awesome job so naturally I booked my next appointment with her.

When I came back for my 2nd visit, I was surprised that a different technician was assigned to me; my 1st technician was there attending to somebody else so I went along with it and thought it was an error in the system.

My 2nd technician was wonderful as well, if she was not due to give birth, I would have stayed with her so I asked her to book me again in their system right after my session for an appointment after 6 weeks with my first technician.

Come 3rd appointment, I was surprised to have another new person to wax me. I was disappointed at that time and even more so as the service was not as good as the first 2 technicians.

For these types of services people should be comfortable with their technicians and it does not help that I have been passed on from one technician to another.

What’s the point of making an advance bookings if it will not be honoured? So I have decided not to come back to this place again.

I’ve been here before and was going to keep coming but they failed to tell me that they charge for masks on the phone or website or I missed it and I forgot mine at home so I went back to get mine and came back and she said ‘your 15 minutes late now’ Nothing else like sorry but, not very customer service oriented. I won’t ever go back there. Remember to bring your own mask if you don’t want to pay. Most places I go to provide them- they definitely are not 2-3$ each when you buy a box. Better customer service needed.

I decided to try sugar waxing as opposed to hard wax. Big mistake. Sugar wax was much more painful! The technician I had never asked me if I was ok despite the fact that I was wincing in pain. She never said the whole "breathe in, and breathe out". Nothing. When she ripped out the hair, she never put her hand over the area to stop the stinging. She also was very quiet and never spoke to me at all which I found odd. Normally when I get waxed my tech is friendly and we chat to kind of take my mind off the experience. It's too bad cause the place is beautiful, but after that experience I definitely would never come back.

It was the most painful waxing experience in my life. The technician didn't do anything to decrease the pain (ice, hold areas for a few seconds. Etc). My skin had been damaged dramatically, I have some wounds. And after all of this the area still has unwanted hair here and there! Omg, where my money went.

Technician was amazing, very professional and addressed all my concerns. She was very thorough.

I had the most failure of an experience here the last time I went. I've been waxed many times before, so I noticed immediately the way the "tech" was waxing my arms was pretty bizarre. She would put the tiniest amount of wax on a random area of my arm, and then wax off, and pick a new random area. No system. Just hoping for the best I guess? I kept having to point out spots she missed, probably about 5-10 times per arm. I'm not even a picky person, but it was pretty bad. She seemed slightly annoyed too, I felt like I needed to apologize even though it should have just been done right the first time.
To be fair to her, there was only a very dim light in the room, which makes absolutely no sense, there needs to be a moveable focused bright light to illuminate the hair so the techs actually know what's going on!
Too bad, this place used to be good but new management has resulted in completely new staff that are underexperienced and clearly the training and equipment are lacking. Next!

From the second I stepped foot in this adorable sugaring place I felt so welcome. It seriously has the cutest decor I’ve ever seen! I had a Brazilian with sugaring done and it was as painless as a Brazilian could be. The technician talked me through the whole process and I felt at ease. These things make me so nervous! Then I start sweating and it makes the whole situation even worse. But I was completely comfortable with the whole process. Front desk staff was so lovely too. I will definitely be back and would highly recommend this place to all my friends and family.

Sadly I had the worst waxing experience here at Sugarbox: (. I've been here awhile back and a had a good first time experience, however my second time coming back was sadly unpleasant.
The lady seemed like she knew what she was doing, but the process itself was extremely painful! Treading was the worst though! Felt like she was pulling skin off my face! You could tell she was rough by hearing at least 5+ threads snap. At the end, the lady didn't even bother wiping any of the excess hair off my face.she crumpled a piece of kleenex and attempted to wipe the hairs away.but sadly I got a few tiny pieces of hair in both my eyes. She also didn't wipe any of the excess wax either.
Overall, the service was not good.the only upside was, the receptionist was extremely helpful and accommodating to my schedule! So kudos to her!

The Sugarbox is one of the cutest wax bars I've ever been in. I felt welcomed as soon as I opened the door. I absolutely adore the decor and aesthetic. Megan was super attentive and listened to my needs. Her method made me feel respected and well taken care of. It was my first sugar experience and I will be back!
