Over 23 years ago, I walked into Suki’s on Robson and Kye was able to help me with my “bad hair day”! Ever since, I’ve been driving from Bellingham (with my daughter) for Kye’s amazing hairstyles! We love her like family and look forward to each visit!

Amanda was very thoughtful and listened carefully to what I was wanting in a hair style. She did an amazing job - really made my day!

Mai was amazing! I don’t think I’ve had a proper haircut until I came here. I’ve never experienced the level of detail I got during my haircut. I loved that I only had to say a couple things and she knew exactly what was best for me. I’ve always wanted a stylist where I could just chill and let them do their thing. I think I’ve found her! My hair has never been this shiny.

Lan is a true artist! She has been my hair colourist for the past two decades. I can trust that she will deliver the perfect colour, while maintaining my hair health every single visit. She is meticulous and highly-skilled with her work and always ensures that it’s done with care and consideration. I get compliments on my hair all the time! Her ability to seamlessly and effortlessly blend colour is truly a work of art, despite working through my challenging hair needs. Her warm and friendly demeanor is welcoming to her clients. Simon is wonderful! This is my first haircut with Simon and I couldn’t be happier. I’m 9 months out from the worst haircut of my life (different hair salon) and took a chance on Simon after reading many positive reviews. Simon listened to what I wanted and executed it perfectly! Cristina made my day! I tried this hair salon for the first time and I’m very satisfied with the result. Besides the haircut, Cristina gave me recommendations on what to use for my hair. So I left with new hair cut and new knowledge! Love it!

Staff are always friendly and the stylists are all very well trained. My hair is hard to cut because it's full of cow licks but they always get it right - love Suki's

Booked an appointment for color and cut. Two days prior to my appointment I received a phone call stating that the colorist won’t be available. Booked with another colorist for the SAME day as previous appointment. Showed up for the appointment just to find out that they booked me for another day. Lost a day of work and two hours travel time plus downtown parking fee. Poorly managed.

I had an incredible haircut experience with my talented stylist, Simon. Their professionalism and expertise were top-notch. He listened to my preferences and delivered a flawless cut that exceeded my expectations. The salon had a welcoming atmosphere, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend Simon for an outstanding haircut that will leave you feeling fabulous.

My colour is done by Aaron and I would NOT go to any other salon! Love my monthly visits to Sukis - everyone makes me feel welcome - and Aaron's attention to detail is greatly appreciated!

Today I had an experience with Nazanin trimming and styling my hair she is patient professional and friendly, I love the style!

I came in to get my bobcut fixed, and Cristina did a fantastic job of taking care of me and my hair. She is such a lovely person and cares about us clients and how to make us feel good about our hair.

I explained that my previous haircut from a different salon was terrible, and she noticed all the uneven layering and thinning with my hair. After a proper assessment, she walked me through each step and explained a lot of the processes to me as she progressively cut my hair. In the end, the results were far better than I expected and I'm very happy with my hair. I'm definitely going back to see her.

For reference, I have thick coarse hair with thick strands. My appointment took more than an hour (which is normal) and it included hair washing, blow drying, straightening, and cutting.

All the staff were very pleasant and helpful, the salon is clean and pretty, and the general atmosphere of the place is inviting. I'm looking forward to seeing them again.

Crisitina is a hair wizard! No one does layers like she can! In awe of her magical artistry and passion. I don’t trust any other stylist to do my hair like she can!

Angela has been making my hair beautiful for a number of years. I’ll be glad to recommend her expertise for hair coloring.

My experience with Melissa is always excellent! The folks manning the front desk are always polite.

After reading so many bad reviews I think is a bit unfair to Sukis. I’ve been going to this hair salon around 4 years ago. Before my last visit I used to cut my hair with a really good girl that left. But I went blind this time and said whoever because I know they are good so they paired me up with Christina and she did an awesome job. Styling, cutting and customer service. I’m very picky with my hair and I always make sure my ends are not split after the haircut sometimes they use low grade scissors in other salons and they charge you the same etc. I also used to tone it there, they were so good. Everyone is so friendly from front desk to the colorista even when I’m super late they are the nicest. I love going there because it really makes you feel that you are taking the time for yourself and not stressing at all! Love everyone at Sukis! They are the sweetest!

I went there for a precision hair cut (feathered) Christina did a good job.
She took a lot of time to make it perfect for me, appreciate that.

I had Jenny for a haircut. I asked for a feathered piece at the front, a hair cut, and my hair straightened (like a normal haircut). It was the last appointment of the day so she rushed me through and she forgot that I wanted a light bang. I had to remind her and convince her 2 times. In the middle she still hadn't straightened my hair so I reminded her that it was part of the service. At the end she wanted to send me off with my hair just being blown-dry. I said no, I've asked 3 times now during the appointment for it to be straightened. She gave a big sigh and a big groan with complaining throughout and eventually did it reluctantly at the end. I was paying $100 for this haircut so I did actually want it to be straightened and look somewhat ok, given the extremely high price. Jenny also told me that I had dandruff, in a particularly negative way. Jenny's attitude bothered me.

First timer, booked online, went all the way and guess what? She said because she has a customer 45 minutes after me she will not do anything! Hope you understand! Great welcome that was! If I could give no stars, believe me, I would!

I was referred to Tess babs by a friend from the gym and my oh my she did not disappoint. Tess did the best highlights I’ve probably ever had at a salon. I came in with strawberry blonde hair and being a natural blonde I was ready to go back to my blonde locks. Tess did half a head of highlights and blended them incredibly well with my already in extensions.
She did a very thorough job, was super friendly and personable, gives the best head massages & the whole experience was a 10 out of 10. She’s my new favourite in Vancouver and I wish her all the best with her career!

Senior stylists need to actually communicate with clients instead of doing whatever they want to do. I feel they think just because they have seniority they can go to town on your hair without checking in about anything. Blunt ends please does not translate to extreme layering. This is the second time I've gotten way too much layering at Sukis although they are very good a trying to fix the issue, it will now take me again years to grow it out again. This all could have been avoided. Thank you

After the first appointment with Mai, I knew I will be coming back to her again and again because of her professionalism. Mai is gradually turning my hair blonde with highlights making sure it will not get burnt, she recommended the products and treatment perfect for my hair, and even after bleaching, it has never been healthier than now. In general, all employees at Suki's are very nice and provide great service, so I highly recommend this place.

I had a bad experience at the South Granville location but Laurie and Crisie went out of their way to make it up to me. I loved my haircut from Crisie so much that I booked her again!

Suki's Salon is undoubtedly one of Vancouver's best for a reason. It can be difficult to find stylists that understand both you and your hair on a more intricate level. I had the privilege of having Antonio cut my hair at the downtown branch recently and was in AWE of his incomparable skill compared to so many others I have tried. Educated in Italy, he clearly had a deeper, more artistic understanding of hair and what my hair, in particular, needed. He made me feel confident about the cut from beginning to end, and even after coming home and washing my hair, I was amazed at how well it fell and moved. Hands down my best haircut ever — by the warmest, sweetest, most talented stylist I've met through the years! Would recommend Antonio in a heartbeat. ️ Thanks, Suki's for giving me the privilege of meeting him!

Highly highly recommend this place. I had a fabulous experience at Suki's Downtown. I went in for a color correction and was booked with JESSI PINTO. I was quite apprehensive as this was my first time at this salon, but went anyways. How wrong was I? From the moment I walked in, Jessie made me feel like a celebrity. She is a true professional and a master at her craft. She takes time to truly understand her clients and their needs. She explained each process in detail and ensured I was comfortable with it before proceeding. It was a long day for Jessie but never once did she rush the process at any point as she worked through layers and layers of box dyes I used during the pandemic. Her colleague, Elisa Campolongo, assited her and gave me a great cut afterwards. The result? ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS! I went from a dull, dark and faded color to a shiny warm brown with vibrant copper highlights. Completely new and changed haircolor and I felt great. A month later, it hasn't faded or lost its lustre. Its still so soft, bright and beautiful and I've had so many compliments. I absolutely love love my new color and cut. It is so easy to maintain and I'm definitely keeping this one for a long time. Thank you so much Jessi and Elisa, for taking the time to make me feel so special. It certainly is the best experience I've had at a salon.

I really enjoyed Mai cutting my hair and paying careful attention to detail as she was able to help fix my last haircut which was awful. Now with my fresh cut I feel and look so much better and would recommend Mai to others who want their hair cut the right way. Thank you very much!

I had my first precision cut with Jannie Lam (Downtown). After going through five other stylists who refused to listen to what I didn't want, was overjoyed with Jannie's ability and willingness to listen/communicate. Knowing pictures say 1000 words, it took Jannie a nanosecond to find the perfect photo of the style was asking for. From there, it was more pure magic: precision is an understatement of Jannie's skill and artistry with a pair of scissors. She measures, remeasures, then measures again. I was in her chair for 1.5 hours, and the cut was not complex. The time and energy that Jannie invests in her cutting is remarkable - passionate, focused, immensely SKILLED, kind and professional, and actually LISTENS to her clients, then respects their wishes and executes with magic, artistry and precision. The salon itself gets 10 Stars for it's Covid protocols and cleanliness. Each chair and station is sanitized after every client, with each instrument sanitized thoroughly then sealed overnight. No worries here! The reception staff are professional and courteous, always happy to assist in every way; best scalp massage and shampoo I've had for many, many years. Mai nguyen made my experience at the hair salon amazing:) she washed, cut and styled my hair.she was very friendly and the overall experience was fantastic.definitely would recommend this salon and mai as a hairdresser.

I'm not happy with the treatment I had at Suki's. I was looking to find a permanent hair stylist, and had a slightly uncomfortable experience at the downtown location. The stylist looked at my hair, asked me a series of personal questions while evaluating my hair, and told me he couldn't do my hair. He had a legitimate reason for this (the treatment I wanted, highlights, was not compatible with my hair since I have a perm), so I understand his concern. I also thank him for letting me know this information, as I didn't know. However, I wish it was dealt with in a better, more discreet, and professional manner. I ended up leaving, with other customers around me knowing the situation and staring (turning around and looking, I felt very embarrassed because I don't love my hair). I was offered no other treatment for my booked timeslot (I came all the way downtown after doing research on Instagram for a stylist. I wanted a haircut as well). I left with no one saying goodbye, acknowledging me, or leading me to the door. I was called back later by the Receptionist for an appointment (thank you very much for this). I had since gone home and wish the situation was dealt with professionally by the stylist.

It was very embarrassing for me to be refused a treatment and have the other customers giving me judgmental looks, I did not know this information about my hair not being compatible and felt very embarrassed by the way this situation was dealt with. I have disposible income and really wanted a hair stylist who would help me improve my hair and enjoy it (I wanted to be a repeating customer as I don't have a regular hair stylist, I will keep looking). I don't think I will return to a Suki's after this experience, and had to post to improve customer service and deal with future customers in an improved manner.

I had a haircut with Melissa. It was horrible. She was also very unprofessional. She did not even bother asking whether I was happy or satisfied with my haircut. I definitely will not be going back. Total waste of money. I hated my hair so much that I had to ask my hair to be cut straight as the layering was the worst I've had in my entire life.

Mai was amazing! She was very kind, and gave me an amazing haircut! The fade was exceptional! Thank you to Suki's downtown and Mai for this experience!

She was very fast while keeping attention to detail with high precision, on giving me my haircut. I definitely recommend her!

Had a wonderful experience with Elisa last week when I stopped by Suki's for a trim. She really listened to what I wanted and did exactly what we agreed would work well for my hair. Super nice person and made me feel really at ease as well. Really happy with my experience and will definitely be making Suki's my regular salon.

My hair is kind of tricky, because I have too much hair, it’s heavy and bulky. She does the highlights just perfectly, light but still natural as I like it.

And Evelyn did haircut super cool. She is so nice and kind, loved!

Evelyn is by far the best stylist I have ever had. She does absolutely everything she can to make sure my hair ends up looking the way I want even if I am not even sure what I want! Her knowledge of not only styling tips at home but also of products to use is so immense and she takes to time to answer any and all questions I have. I would absolutely recommend Evelyn to anyone coming to Suki’s!

Had my first appointment here recently, and Evelyn was absolutely wonderful! She really took her time working with my hair, and was also very helpful in answering any questions I had regarding tools and products, and just general haircare. Very happy with my visit, and I will definitely be back!

I was terrified to get rid of my blonde since I have been colouring it this way for years now. Tyeesha helped me pick a colour to tone it down to that would compliment my complexion and be easier to maintain. She did a fantastic job and is intelligent and great to talk to!
