Let me be clear- my service with Yum was amazing as usual. Today I am complaining about your products and the decision of one your managers. Two cans of L'Oribe mousse that i bought quite awhile ago at 60$ ea no longer worked and haven't for months. When I discussed it with a manager at the time they told me to bring the cans in. Today I did.there was about half a can left in each. I have since bought more mousse and they work fine. So today I asked for one free can to replace the 2 half filled ones. I was told that wasn't possible until he called the manufacturer (?), but after a lengthy back and forth, he decided to give me points so i could pay 20$ for the can i bought today instead of 50$. I have been a customer at Sukis since at least 2001, and have bought many products from that outlet. Ridiculous that the manager insisted on making me pay 20$, because you have a 2 week policy on products. Bad practice towards a 20yr+ customer.

Charis is very lovely and pleasant. She listens and gives you options. I love my hair and how she styled it. I will certainly be coming back. The overall experience was wonderful the moment you enter the salon and when leaving. Thank you very much.

Mega good hairdressing salon, which, thanks to its international hairdressers, makes you one of the most welcoming hairdressers I've ever been to. Our hairdressers Elahe and Sepideh gave us a wonderful insight into the city and recommended places.
Plus it's really cheap for what you get. Highly recommended:)

It has always been a pleasure to have haircuts from Elahe and my colouring done from Sephidah and Albana. They know exactly what would work with my features and explain their processes well. They’re incredibly talented at what they do and the results speak for themselves. 10/10 recommended for any sort of haircut and creative colour.

She takes the time to understand exactly what you want and is also incredibly patient and careful. On top of all this, she's one of the sweetest people you'll ever meet! I recently got my hair cut by @aka_heedayno and couldn't be happier. The stylist I saw previously went a bit overboard with the texture scissors and my "modern mullet" was a ratty mess. I couldn't stand it any longer and impulsively went to Sukis needing an adult. I was expecting an intermediate "fix it" cut to help my layers course correct, but Hideno gave me an amazing bob that I wouldn't have ever thought of on my own! It's perfect for fall and looks super cute under a toque, just blow dried, or styled proper with heat tools and product. I'm so glad I went in and so grateful she was working when I got the nerve to get my hair fixed! I'll defiently be back and reccomend her to anyone who needs a good listener with good judgment. Exactly what I wanted. Thanks!

@SukisSalons I went to Margaret for a bang trim at the South Granville location. I called in advance, and was quoted $20, as a starting price. I’ve seen her before and was charged $35. When I went up to pay, I was changed $55. She said it was due to inflation, I call it robbery.

I only get a haircut once a year because I find it expensive here in Canada, but the other factor of that decision is I haven't found a salon that I would trust to cut my hair since moving to Vancouver.

That changed today. Gwen did a wonderful job giving me a haircut. After 15 months, I finally got a much needed haircut. I dislike having long hair because I don't like spending time combing through all the tangle. With my shorter hair, I can focus on more important things like family, home, and work than seeing all the hair in the floor.

If you decided to have a haircut cut at Suki’s, be ready for:
- Not to see your stylist on time (20-45 minutes late), no apologies will follow;
- Wait for offered coffee/tea/water for 15 minutes or never get it;
- Have your hair cut and blow dried just for 20 minutes or slowly tweaked millimeter by millimeter for an hour (depends on “professional”). In both cases outcome will be average;
- Meet tense front desk people with strained smiles;
- Downtown and South Granville locations need some upgrades or at least walls painting and hangers changing (they are really shabby) ;
- Pay $$$ for all above.

I had an amazing experience with Catherine. Came in with grown out highlights and left with exactly what I wanted. I’m very particular with how my hair looks so to find someone that took to time to fully understand and execute it the way she did is a dream. She is super friendly and talented, I would highly recommend booking with her for all your hair needs! I will be back:)

I get my hair done with Rawan and OMG she is so talented and underrated! I highly recommend Rawan if you’re looking to get balayage, highlights, etc. She truly cares about her clients hair and listens to what they want. Came in the other day for hair colouring with Simran and it was an absolute joy of an experience. Simran is friendly, professional, and very evidently passionate about the art of hair colouring. Going into the appointment, I had a very vague idea of what I wanted my hair to look like and she was very helpful, asking me various questions to help me better communicate what I was hoping for and also thoroughly explained what she was doing to my hair every step of the way as we progressed through the session. Thought, "I cant go wrong at Suki's". Went for a fringe trim and became a cautionary tale. I have a heavy framed curtain fringe and had FLOOFY LAYERS cut into them.i look like a mulleted freak. At least it's raining a lot and I can wear a toque. Never again.

I came in for a cut and color with Natalya and really enjoyed my experience! I recently moved to the neighbourhood so it was my first appointment. I didn't have much of a plan going into my appointment, and Natalya was great at helping me figure out what I wanted, and I was super happy with the results. Aurora at the rinse station was also super friendly and gave a great head massage!

I was on vacation in Vancouver end if April and decided to get my hair colored at Sukis. Fortunately I got an appointment short noticed with Gwen at South Granville: she is a very nice person to talk to, however after almost 3 hours I left with similar hair color as before and although I told her specifically to make sure that my few white hair roots are covered, they were still visible (unfortunately I noticed it when I got home). I paid over 350CDN plus tip -> seeing the result, I would say it was not worth the time and money. Unfortunately I am already back to my home country and can’t make a complaint in person. Honestly, I would like to get my money back! Absolutely dissatisfied!

It was an amazing experience with Suki’s. This was my second time getting my hair color done by Simran and she is just above and beyond as i was so confused regarding what color to go for and she gave exactly what i was wishing for. Simran is my hair-colorist for life. I am so in love with my new hair.

Went for a haircut, asked for it to be asymmetrical with the long part to my shoulders. It came out by my ears sooo much shorter than what I wanted. And made me look like a karen! They also straightened the hell out of my hair, and were styling it. I dont do that at all and have naturally curly hair, it wasn't going to look like that again. After a shower I looked like one of the 3 stooges (with puffy bowl cut on one side). They also thinned my ENTIRE head, I have the thinnest hair in my family, my hairs not thick. They also weirdly cut my bangs and put a weird "step" in the 'long' side. Also DO NOT RECOMMEND riding the bus to it. Easy to get there but had NO IDEA how to get home. I walked for 20 minutes in the rain looking for a bus stop back. Going there made me get a buzz cut to get rid of the haircut. I cried when I got home.

My hairstylist was HyeSook and she was absolutely lovely. She trimmed, layered and gave me slight bangs that gave me volume. I can immediately sense her experience and she made the most professional recommendations. This was the first time in a while where I walked away from a hair salon feeling great about my hair. When it comes to colour, Albana is truly a talent! Her considerable experience and instinctive abilities always make for outstanding results. I've been seeing Albana and Margret for years—they're artists, absolutely the best of the best at what they do.

I started seeing Gwen for my cut and colour when I moved into the neighborhood about 3 years ago, I have since moved farther away but will NEVER see anyone else! Gwen always just knows exactly what I want and can execute it perfectly. Not only will you walk out with the best hair, but you get to feel like you just spent a couple hours talking to your best friend! Couldn't recommend Gwen enough!

It was my first visit at this location. Happy that my hairstylist was Hideon. Very friendly and kind person to be around with. 10 for her but ZERO star for the manager on duty. Very rude and helicopter personality. I have thick hair and have growth. My hair takes long to dry and while Hideno was doing blow dry this person kept hovering near the place I was sitting. He stood right besides the mirror trying to tell Hideno to stop. Since she was so engrossed or May be she is so kind that she felt inhuman to stop in between the service and make me walk out of salon with wet hair. It was so uncomfortable moment when a man is standing right in front of you and staring continuously.
The cheap act was when he saw that his body language didn’t work. He came near my chair and asked hideno to stop blow dry. What has covid to do with blow dry. Less is more. Have less customers but give quality. I promise they will return but with this attitude very few will.

I have severe sinus and walking out of salon with wet hair was something that I can never do. Thanks to kind Hideno who didn’t do that.

I have a suggestion for this helicopter personality person. Your staff is kind and professional. Believe their skills and judgement. They know what they are doing and believe me if people come back it is bec of them NOT BEC OF YOU.

Devon is the best of the best! I came in with lackluster hair as I have not seen a stylist for over 7 months. I left with my spirits lifted and a great cut and colour treatment. The entire team are outstanding and I look forward to returning.

I just had one of the best experiences with Hideno Akamine for my hair cut at this salon. She's one of best hair stylist that I have had in my recent years. I have always fancy a trendy haircut but couldn't do much during this COVID situation. She's very knowledgeable and experienced. She's not only fixed my horrible home-made hair cut but she has also recommended the perfect style for my hair type. I always had tough time styling my hair when I had to rush to work each morning, but now with the new haircut, it's much easier and it's very simple to set up. I can get my hair setup with just minutes of prep time and ready to hit the door. A big thanks to her, that now I can be confident again with my social life! I highly recommend giver her a shot if you ever want to enjoy this refreshing life experience! No wonder Suki's is so well known as a name brand in hair salons' in the lower mainland. From an informative booking agent to the ladies at the front desk, to my amazing stylist, my whole experience here was awesome. Yum was my hairstylist. I was invited to be a hair model for Mai (free of charge), She did an amazing job on restoring my hair color (I made a huge mess with box dyes and had lots of grey's.) She was very professional and just a sweetheart. I also had someone fix my covid haircut (did it myself during quarantine!). The salon was very clean and looked to have all covid protocals in place. Everyone was super friendly! My only extra comment would be that I was charged a small fee when i left (when I was told it would be complimentary). On that same note maybe the fee was for the last minute haircut I had added, fair enough.
I will certainly return! Mai I will be looking for you:)

I had been here yesterday for a haircut plus scalp treatment. I had to wait almost 30 minutes for my appointment to begin. Scalp treatment went well including hair cut. But when it came to styling my hair there are no questions asked but rather assumed based on my earlier conversation with the stylist named Dany that I wanted curls despite I wanted waves.
When I told her this, the stylist started telling me that because of covid there is 10 minutes blow dry policy and my hair wouldn’t have dried and I wouldn’t have been able to create the look you want. I wasn’t even aware of this rule.
Plus, If I’m coming to a salon to get my hair done and if the Salon can’t do it then what’s the point of me being there.
I would have appreciated these disclaimers before having started with my appointment.
I even asked if anything can be done but I was told that it was too late that I should come back again. I’m a bit reluctant now to come back as my first experience was not good.

I am a long-standing client of Albanna (senior colorist) and Margrit (senior stylist) at Suki’s South Granville. Mon at sukis on Granville has consistently given me the best haircuts of my life and I will never go to anybody else! He has incomparable value in his skill as a MASTER hair stylist and aside from always bringing out the best in my hair- he has a glowing personality and just being around him lifts my spirits!

Mon Chin has been cutting my hair for 29 years. I love Mon's haircuts because I walk out of Suki's with a great cut that stays a great cut until I return. I have been approached by strangers and asked where I get my hair cut, 6 months after the last cut. All the stages of growing out my hair have been easy to work with and I attribute that to the great cut. Thanks Mon!

If I could I would give minus 5 stars. I came to the downtown location, July 10,4pm the name of the colorist was Wendy. I came I showed her a picture of the pathern I wanted and the color I asked was gold. She did what she wanted, completely different of what I asked, pathern off and color was very very blond. Beside that her and her "helper" were, I would say abusive, Wendy took ALL thin foils in 3 goes basically she ripped them from my hair, then the "helper" applied shampoo and she was pretty much stabbing my head with her nails, until I asked to stop. Wendy used the coldest water to rinse the color, when she took me to the mirror I wanted to cry, my hair was falling in pieces in my hands. I was charged $440 for frying my hair that btw is shoulder length. SUPER DISAPPOINTED of that place.
And btw we called to make a complaint spoke to Melissa she said she was going to investigate and call us back, I'm still waiting for at least an apology for such an awful experience.

PEOPLE: Keep in mind that all those "Good reviews" are most likely fake.

Please avoid this place and especially the stylist named James. He was talking To his friend about next day Filipino lunch the whole time he was doing my hair. I showed him a couple pictures and he said don’t worry I’ll make you look pretty. I came out looking like albert einstein. Worst experience of my life. 70 bucks down the drain. I’d rather give it to a homeless.

They make you wash and dry hair before coming, which they used to include. Not it course they didn't reduce the prices even though they are doing much less now. And then they add $7 covid fee to the bill. What a rip off. Wouldn't recommend anyone go here unless you like getting ripped off.

Edit: thank you for the reply. Unfortunately what you describe was not my experience. The hairdresser asked me to wash and dry my hair before arriving when I made the appointment. I was not given the option of a wash, as you described, though I was still charged the same price as when I get a wash and dry.

I have been seeing John as my stylist for several years now, and due to the pandemic was reluctant to come in for a hair cut despite all that time prior. But coming into the salon today was an amazing experience that reassured me Suki's takes the utmost care and precaution towards my safety and the well-being of their employees. A fantastic experience overall as always and I would highly recommend Suki's to anyone.

James one the topest hairstylist, was my second time to get haircut by him, he is professional and great, staff are perfect, highly recommend him.

I went in for two separate appointments at the South Granville location. First for a haircut and then a colour with Gwen. The new covid procedures made me feel very safe. They had a good system that made sure there weren't too many people on the floor at the same time. Everyone was required to wear masks, both hair stylists and their clients.

I really love the cut Gwen gave me! It was very sleek and super fun. When I wasn't sure what I wanted, she gave me some options and it turned out fantastic.

She's also a great colourist. My hair is quite dark and it takes a lot to get it to a light enough colour for pastel looks. Gwen managed to not only get it light enough but to completely transform my look into something fresh and fun. I've attached a picture below!

My girlfriend and her family who have been coming here for years, my girlfriend had to cancel her appointment (with plenty of notice) I went in there to get men’s barber cut ($40) I finish the haircut and they charged me $93 to get a fade that took 7 minutes the label it (precision cut) which is not what I asked for.they were incredibly rude about understanding they were wrong for adding random male belief charges. My regular place is $25 but we wanted to support a business & give them something. Needless to say they just lost 5 customers for being greedy crooks.we came to help and got ripped off for it. I still tipped the barber out of respect but to be honest it was also a terrible haircut.

I have never written a negative or mixed review, and this is the first.
First, I pushed back my appointment to the very last moment before closing, and I am very grateful to Suki’s for accommodating me as I was late from work. I am especially appreciative to my stylist for agreeing with that.
However.the cut was incomplete. It was a past jaw length bob that was supposed to be cut around 1 inch, and at least three inches came off. Not a biggie, but not what I was wanting. It will grow back. The issue is that the back was choppy/irregular (one length bob) and the shaved nape was not thoroughly shaved. My boyfriend ended up shaving the rest for me, as it was him who saw it and commented. He evened out the cut as well.
I get that I was accommodated last minute, and I am grateful for it, but at the same time, I would expect a quality cut, especially for the price that was charged. I didn’t see the problems with my hair until later, and at the end of the day, the cut cost $115 for a very simple cut. For that alone, I will not come back.

I've been going to Gwen Nguyen for years and I can say without a doubt that she's one of the best in the business. Gwen is always a pleasure to see, but most importantly she's knows her stuff when it comes to cutting and colouring hair. Whether it's a long bob, highlights, a trim, bangs, ombré, or anything else, any hairstyle I've ever wanted she's done it and executed it perfectly. I cannot praise her enough and I am already looking forward to my next appointment!

I was recommended by a friend to go see Dorothy as he is a regular with her. Dorothy was very professional and detailed oriented. I’m beyond happy with the experience I had with Dorothy and I will continue coming back to her. I highly recommend her as a stylist as her fades and combovers are really well done.
