Summit tools always has great deals & good selection. Staff are also helpful & friendly. Went out of their way to find my makita tool boxes this afternoon. This will always be one of my favourite stores. I only wish they had at least 1 location in the Fraser Valley so I could visit more.

Best prices, great selection and lots of inventory. Its legit a toy store for big boys that dream of power tools.

The staff was knowledgeable and helpful with tool selection. Helped us from the beginning to the end. Many different brands to select from.

Regular customer for years.
Try to return, exchange or leave a defective heater.
The manager did not take the heater back. I lost the receipt and it was warm when I bought the heater, so I did not get a chance to try it. The plug ended up super hot the first time we used it.

It could cause a fire, since the device did not limit the amount of current it was drawing.
Surprised they would want defective heater out in the public.

Could cause a house fire.

A #1 place for tools and equipment everything else you may need. Best in Vancouver. Great staff. Never had an issue with anything.

SDS drill bits, sandpaper, lots of consumables well priced, as well as many branded and no branded tools reasonably priced.

Really enjoyed the shopping dietitian there. Going to pick up my next major tool purchase there to try them out.

I love this place. They have good selection, good prices and helpful staff. They carry all the big brands, but also the budget friendly Rok brand which is rarely seen elsewhere. Rok has a huge variety of tools at good prices and very respectable quality, which offers a great alternative for the typical homeowner who needs to get occasional jobs done without blowing the budget. I always look for Rok tools before considering other brands.

My only knock against Summit is that I can't check their selection or inventory online. It's sometimes inconvenient, but it enables them to have less overhead and pass savings along to customers so I'm ok with it. It's a throwback to a simpler era.

I also wish they were open Sundays, but that's not the norm for local hardware stores so I know it's not going to change. I work around it.

Great prices and great store. Most of the staff are very friendly and helpful as well. You won't find another tool store like it that carries good products and low prices. Definitely check it out!:)

Love this place, it has the best prices and tool selection around. I would like to give a special shout out to a worker there, Lucas is the man! He knows everything about power tools and has helped me a great deal in my purchases.

Staff very friendly and helpful. I love that we can bring our dogs in and they get lots of pets love and compliments. It's nice to be able to take them in there to take our dogs mind off bosley's when we go there to bring her for a bath lol.

Summit Tools is the cat's pyjamas. Prices are great, service is excellent, and you can buy just about anything there. Safety equipment, driver bits, and PINK SUEDE TOOL BELTS! Just got an ultra quiet compressor, brad nailer, hose, fittings, 5000 nails, and a couple of packages of couplings and accessories for $244 bucks after tax. Everything works as well as my dad's tools. Love it.

Today at summit tools I had a horrible experience here.

I had walked in this morning at 9: 30AM and I had been wearing a small backpack that is the same size or smaller then a purse (measurements are 5"X10" it is the Hershel nova mini backpack). I was told by one of the employees that I had to leave my backpack full of my personal belongings including my wallet, car keys, sunglasses, & cash up front. I told her that I did not feel comfortable to leave my belongings up front as I am leaving my stuff with someone I have no clue who they are. I had also asked what is the different between my small backpack or a purse, as if it was a big backpack I would understand. She has then advised me that I would not be allowed to enter the store. If the problem is people stealing then they should hire a security guard at the door if needed, & not ask to take peoples belongings.

Either way, I will never be back to this store after this this embarrassment.

I sent a customer to them to buy a tool for cutting metal, but the sales guy gave my customer bad advice. The service is terrible at the coquiltlam location. They have no idea how to use the tools they sell.

Been waiting for almost 30 min on a cashier line up. Although so many persons were free all around but only one lady working on cashier very slow

This store is larger than their Burnaby location so it has a lot of selection which wouldn’t be at the store. The prices are great and serivce is awesome!

Awesome selection of tools and safety gear, and at the best prices i have seen, would give 5 stars but they need to increase the hours open by an hour so i can make there ontime afterwork.

I do a lot our tools shopping at Summit Tools. I went to the store this Friday with a long list of tools we needed for our buy there. The was a really knowledgeable and friendly salesperson who patiently helped us gather all items we needed to buy.
When I got back to our shop and opened up boxes, we found one toolset which was marked as DISPLAY, was missing some parts. Today, Saturday, I took the box back. The same salesperson was there and he was kind to accept this and reported to someone named Lucas (most likely a supervisor).
Lucas treated the salesperson and the cashier (Dakota, a very nice lady) very harshly and disrespectful in front of a customer in order to find out what went wrong.
I left the store with disgust and disappointment and bad feeling for staff in this store.
Lucas is an abusive person and did a terrible job problem-solving the situation. I found him toxic and terrible in what he does in the store.

Just got off the phone with Luke the store manager who told me I could not return a cheap item that broke on the first time I used it because I did not have the original packaging

Love the burnaby location but I was unimpressed with the staff at this location.

Caused me two trips because of bad advice and they just shifted the blame back and forth each other.

Clearly staff are unsupported by management as if they where this sort of behavior wouldn’t happen.

I will be sticking to the burnaby location and not this one.

Purchased 10 face protection plastic mask. At the time of purchase check several times with the cashier if they are returnable and she answered that if they are not open YES, YOU CAN RETURN. Today decided to return 3 of them and they refused to accept the return. When we mentioned the conversation with the cashier salesman showed some sign that masks are final sale which they were not there at the time of purchase and we got the VERBAL CONFIRMATION. Very dishonest business.

Price Gauging their masks. $100 for a handful masks that would sell for $10-$15 before.

All brick and mortar stores take note. Automated check outs and self-serve item lookup computers cannot replace a friendly human interaction. I do not need to say this but good quality customer service equals customer satisfaction which equals returning customers and profit. Hire quality staff and pay them well, this will reflect in customer satisfaction. Long story short, I came in for a small item and was warmly greeted by the cashier at the store up front. As I had not been to this location before and I do not know where the item I was looking for was located, I happened to bump into a staff who helped me right away, and even knew the specific part I required - I was impressed. I was in and out of the store in less than 5 minutes and left with the part that I required. This could not been any quicker.

I am a fairly regular customer here and it’s always my first choice when I need anything. I went in today to get a new tool bag. Decided on the Dewalt dgl 523. It was priced at $139.99. I checked online as I always do and it was $108 on Amazon. I thought I’d ask if they price match. When I asked the guy he gave me a very pretentious answer and asked me after where from. When I told him “Amazon” he just rudely said no and walked away. I completely understand if they don’t want to price match online pricing. If the difference was $15-$20 more expensive in store I’d be filling a tool bag right now instead of writing this review. I’ll definitely be checking Amazon from now on before even heading to the store. If you can’t beat amazons prices you should at least have helpful service.

This store and chain are simply the best for the lowest prices on national brand tools.period.

So many things are priced so low that some brands (DeWalt) will not allow them to advertise those prices.

The house brand ROK also has some hidden gems of quality. One really good one is the garden hose. 50 footer (always) on sale for 12 bucks is a real keeper.

Simple hand tools and boxes etc? This is the place to go.

I am always blown away by the low prices at Summit. The other thing I really like is you can buy the grade of tool that matches the job you are doing. They have high quality tools for when you need something that will last, plus they have low end tools for the 'one of' weekend project.

It is really good place to buy tools and equipment. Price is reasonable and some items are relatively cheap. I am strongly recommended buy tools from them.

This store has the MOST HELPFUL STAFF.the sales guys have tons of knowledge on everything in the store. Explain your job and needs and they know what you need and have things to offer. Their pricing in fantastic. Way better than KMS and if you find a item on amazon or in a store that is also at summit they price match and beat it! Overall I totally recommend this company! Need tools and more or advice ask summit tools. It's a small family owned company and it shows.

I really like this place, the staff are very helpful and informative, stock is really good on all sorts of things. Really impressed, has become a weekly stop by just to look through the discount bin!
