Sun Country Cycle

Awesome place. Had an emergency mechanical issue on a bike trip to Vernon area. Stopped in to Sun Country and asked for help. They immediately looked at my bike and were able to fix the issue for when I needed my bike back the next day. They were super accommodating in the middle of what was no doubt a busy season for them, and they fixed it fast. Very impressed and thankful!

The mark of a business is how they deal with a customer with a "lemon". We bought a lemon mountain bike. We were in the States for a month long biking trip when the battery got glitchy. The manager phoned ahead to the nearest biking shop to arrange for the battery to be replaced. How often do you get service like that?

I’ve been a Suncountry customer since I moved to Vernon over a decade ago. Great service great staff and that Local Bike shop community feel is why I keep coming back. Their new shop reflects the great work these people do so much better than the old location! Love the new logo! Pine cone? Tire tracks? Hops? All sounds like Good times!

I recently got my bike serviced here and they did a great job. Rode like new again. The man working on it was really helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. I’ll definitely go back.

Friendly service for which you pay double what other shops would charge. Ask for the costs before you leave your bike at Sun Country. If I had asked I would have found another solution.

I would say that they are one of the best bike shops in the Okanagan, but in truth they are one the best bike shops in Canada that I've ever experienced. Excellent knowledge and true customer service.

Of course something comes up right before a biking vacation that I couldn't fix or didn't have time to tinker with! Short and sweet. I called.they fit me in.happy girl, happy bike, happy wallet:)

This bike shop is amazing! When you walk in the doors it’s full of quality products and the staff is incredible. I recently purchased my trek slash in carbon blue from the shop and they went above and beyond to help set up my bike! From the suspension set up all the way to 10 minutes of fidgeting with the dropper post to make it the correct height. I was absolutely blown away by the level of service I was given! I never would get that kinda of service at home here in Kamloops so hats off! I will definitely be back to get my future bikes from this store from now on, it was worth the drive.thank you once again for being so amazing!

Had some really great service from the Sun Country Cycle team! My bike made it from Alaska all the way to Vernon this year on the back of my car and was in desperate need of some love. The team tuned up my bike and now it's in top condition again.

I just had a great customer service experience at Sun Country thanks to Jackson. I came in looking for several parts/components for some work I'm doing on my bike and he was super helpful in tracking everything down. High five to the Sun Country team - and Jackson in particular - for being an awesome local bike shop!

I purchased a new cross country bike from Sun Country at the end of last season (where i bought my previous bike as well), was doing too much riding until the snow flew, then we got an early start to the season this year so did not take time to have have it in for its initial (free) tune. Went over my bars and broke my dropper lever on a recent ride, so was forced to take it off the trails to have it fixed. They gave it a comprehensive tune and the the tech had a lever of his own, and installed it. No charge for anything and I got the bike back in time for the weekend ride at Silver Star. I did not ask for, or expect this, was certainly expecting to pay for the lever and the tune, since I left it so late. I couldn't be happier with my new Optic, and the entire team at Sun Country really went over the top with the after service again. Thanks Sun Country!

Sun Country "Sends It" on service! Rolled in today and the charming young gal at the front counter was quick and very generous with her time and local trail intel. Along with the trail knowledge they were able to service my rear mech immediately for no charge! We're talking "dialed-in" service! Love it!

I have experience with all the cycling shops in town and Sun Country Cycle is likely the best. They provide the best selection and in-store experience for still reasonable prices. They usually have what I'm looking for and have been painless the one time I had to return something. The staff is knowledgable and passionate about cycling (road cycling in particular). I have dealt with many there and everybody has been fine, but I'd say Braden, Alison, and Matt are the ones that stick out for their excellent customer care. Highly recommended.

This shop has quite a significant variety of products available within the store yet not a significant selection of any one thing in particular.
The staff are barely welcoming, if they bother to acknowledge your presence at all in the first place. Stood and walked around the store for awhile before anybody bothered to come out from the shop area.
Finally when someone did, they talked a whole lot, and being a bit unfamiliar with the specifics of any one particular thing in regards to bikes and their components/parts, I later found out after spending a decent amount of money that most of what the employee said and products they recommended was mostly just verbal vomit, which with after thought gave the impression their only intention was to sell something rather than give accurate information.
Quite disappointed considering how many others have left good reviews but oh well, not all experiences are the same.

Fantastic service and experience to say the least. My wife and I were traveling from Banff/Canmore and was in a desperate need for help. Never did I think I would get anyone to help on short notice. I tried 2 shops in Penticton on my way as this was my end stay and no matter what I had to say, the answer was nope! Alex and the team at Sun Country Cycle in Vernon are amazing. My bottom bracket was shot from a ride earlier in the day and I was just starting my holiday. Thanks to them life is awesome! Looking forward to wearing my new hat and socks! And kid me wrong, they were very busy! Great social distance measures in place as well. Thanks

Local feel spot forsure

Been going here for the past two years to get my son and I’s bikes serviced, if it’s accessories your looking for, dedication, or customer service at its finest this is the place you gotta go! Shout out to Josh and Matt, you guys are Gems! By far the best bike shop in town with the highest quality of knowledge. Thanks guys!

Update to my review below. I’ve now been to this shop several times. Once to buy a bike (fuel ex) and another to replace some brakes on another bike. Top notch service and courteous staff are not an accident here. Solid consistency in providing customer service at this shop.

Took my fat bike in for a small repair. First time in the shop. Friendly folks and professional. I shall make this my regular bike shop in town.

Super impressed with the service here. Came to get my husbands old mountain bike tuned up. Jonny was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. Genuinely interested in helping me even though i had no idea what he was telling me! Haha when i came in to pay i added on some grips and the guy at the counter happily offered to put them on for me even though he was busy. Highly recommend! Thanks guys!

I went there to buy a bike tube, I was first in line and stood for 40 minutes before anybody could sell me a bike tube. It took about 20 minutes to be acknowledged, I mean besides the awkward silent eye contact I had with each and every employee over that time. While I was standing there three mechanics within 10 feet of me
thought it would be a better idea to diagnose bikes then take 30 seconds to sell me a bike tire. My purchase was small yet extremely quick to deal with. I think they could have done a better job. If I wasn't walking I would have chose to go anywhere else.

Ricardo and his team are amazing. They are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I recently bought a bike from them and will be back again. Thanks for there hard work during tough times.

This place has a loyal following, and I'm sure lots of ppl would rate it 7 starts if they could. But every time I bought, or sought advice, from Sun Country, I couldn't shake off the feeling of being treated as an afterthought. YMMV.

Can't say enough good things about the shop and staff here. You feel good shopping and supporting this shop, such friendly and knowledgeable staff, huge selection and always ready to help you with anything you or your bike needs. I wouldn't consider buying my bike, helmet, gloves, really anything they offer from anywhere else.

Went in yesterday as my back wheel was wobbly due to a loose spoke. Was more than happy to leave the bike there, but they insisted on having a look at it first. The bike mechanic immediately said, just take off the rim and use a flat head screwdriver and the spoke end will pop back through again. No need to leave it there, got home, did that and we're as good as new. I learnt a few things in the process, plus when I was taking the back tire off the rim I discovered that there were several rips in the wall of the tire, so I was able to throw on a new tire while I was fixing the spoke, saved me getting a flat out on the road somewhere! I also had a question about my back brake and the guy quickly looked at it and said I didn't need new pads. I wish car mechanics were as honest and helpful as these guys, I think people would be happier to take their car in, knowing they wouldn't get ripped off. Always happy to take my bikes here, and love the fact that they are happy to share their expertise with me and help me learn more about my bikes and how to maintain them. Couldn't recommend them highly enough.

I can't say enough good things about Sun Country Cycle! They went way above and beyond during my visit today. I had a specific bike in mind which I knew they'd have to order in from a phone call I'd made earlier in the week. On the phone they did say they had a similar one in the same size and recommended I come in to try it. Ricardo found the bike and got it ready for me to test ride. He then looked into a few alternate options as well.
Due to possible shipping delays with COVID I decided to purchase the bike they already had in stock. They tuned and set it up for me all while I was there. Really friendly team all around. 100% recommend this amazing local business! I'll be back for all biking needs.

From out of town, dropped in with a bike issue. Mechanic (Josh) was a wizard diagnosing and resolving the issue - got me back out on the awesome Vernon trails. Greatly appreciated, this shop rocks!
