Sungiven Foods (North Vancouver Store)

So this is a good place to purchase Asian food items. I had a lot of trouble finding bamboo shoots in a can. I also couldn't find mushroom stock or beef pho stock. However, I loved the asian veggie section, the frozen dumpling session was fine, and the hot pot stocks were fine. I was able to get fresh noodles, diced fish to make fresh fish balls. I wish they had unsweetened soy milk. This is an ok place, but sometimes, I still had to go to Osaka and T + T to get everything I want.

All organic and the creamiest cakes I’ve ever tried! Chinese foods made in house taste so fresh and authentic. My fav in Vancouver

Just wanted to leave a review congratulating you on being open for 2 years now. I stopped in today and felt so welcomed. The cashier greeted me with a smile as soon as I walked through the door. And the nice and friendly lady standing near the entrance let me try some of those mooncakes you sell. They were so tasty! I ended up buying a few boxes to share with my friends.

Gotta shout out the young guy working in produce too. I was looking for some organic vegetables and he came over right away to show me all your great local options although he was busy restocking the shelves. Even when I asked if there was any more new stock in the back, he didn't hesitate to go look for me. He was super patient and chatty, it really made me feel like a valued customer.

And I was impressed with the meat department. Everything looked so fresh and was neatly organized. I found just what I needed for lunch and dinner. Your staff did an awesome job continuously restocking. I care a lot about getting the freshest meat.

I loved my whole experience at your store! The great products and exceptional service show how much you care about us customers. I'll definitely be coming back again soon!

The best place to find that perfect exotic fruit or just high quality produce. And the price is also good. I always go there for organic eggs, golden kiwis, baby sugar mangoes and some fish.

We are so lucky to have this place near our house. The prices are fair and the produce is always fresh. This is the place to find fruit that actually tastes good.

As New Yorkers who travel full time we typically rely on grocery delivery services but it was a pleasure to shop here during our few months in BC. This location is impeccably clean and the staff are courteous and helpful. There’s a small curated selection of high quality Asian and Western products and everything in between. Lots of organic, natural, and locally sourced products. The veggies are not so fresh which reminds me of Trader Joe’s in the states but everything else especially the deli and bakery items are amazing. The shelves are perfectly organized. Basically the opposite of your typical trashy chaotic American supermarket.

I recently visited this grocery store and was very impressed with my experience. The store was very clean and organized, making it easy to find what I needed. The staff were friendly and helpful, and they went out of their way to make sure I had a great shopping experience. The selection of products was vast, and the prices were very competitive. I was also pleased to find that the store had a wide variety of organic and locally sourced products. Overall, I had a great experience at this store and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for quality products at a reasonable price.

I was excited when I heard there was another Asian supermarket near where I live instead of going to Osaka at Park Royal where I usually go for Asian things, but I was disappointed to say the least. The only pros of this store was their service, parking, cleanliness and how organized this store was. The cons were their location and how it is hidden and how hard it is to see if not paying attention on Marine Drive and it is hard turn into to their parking lot if you have never been there before. Also not a lot of items there as some items seem to not arrived so there are not a lot of items stocked completely. And also last time when I was getting steamed buns there and I think I got a box I think 6 or so from their hot food section and it was a complete disappointment we had choose the kinds we wanted but only one out of the 6 was the correct one that we choose the rest were not the ones we picked we specifically choose the one that wasn’t the chicken one, but we got that one. Which was a complete disappointment because we had a bit or break open all of them to find out there should be a way to tell each apart from one another with the parchment parchment paper or a dot or some marking. It was hard to tell. This needs to be improved to not have the mistake happen again. We called about this issue and they said they would give us a refund but I didn’t want this happening again since there is physically no way to tell each apart. Another thing is that their hot food ready to go rice box things the proportion were off there was so much of the dish but so little rice that go with it and the portions are small for their price and is overly seasoned meaning too salty or there is too much sauce over the meat I got.

Wonderful assortment of food, fresh and packed, bought fresh spicy miso ramen which was amazing! And without bridge traffic from north van!

I am not very happy with the experience I had at the store last Saturday. The cashier whose name is Yuni (If my memory is working) is not friendly at all. I bought two boxes of dim sum and two watermelons. Anyone who has common cense would take out the dim sum boxes out of the cart and keep them on the counter. She asked me whether I need a bag and put the boxes back to the cart after I told her that I didn't need a bag. Then she stared to try to scan the watermelons without taking them out of the cart. No doubt, the watermelon rolled onto my dim sum box. Imagine what, no sorry no word at all.

My appreciation and compliments to Jason and Patricia in the North Vancouver store for putting together a beautiful fresh fruit gift box for my holiday party. Both of them are very knowledgeable and have been providing excellent customer services. Jason especially has gone above and beyond what the job has called for. This will definitely be THE reason for my coming back to shop at Sungiven.

Most of not all products sold here are organic and their prices are pretty good. The staff are wonderful and extremely helpful, they will go out of their way to make sure you are a satisfied customer. Sometimes they give away free gifts when you spend over a 100 and they are quite generous with these promos. I tend to come to Sungiven before going to Osaka, mainly for the service and quality. Their prices are also competitive to Osaka.

Beautiful Asian market in north vancouver. Clean & very organized. Pricing is very decent and lower than most grocery stores nowadays. Staff is super friendly. Love their flowers! Bought some lovely fresh roses

Love this local shop.with variety selction of organic products.they have wechat group where you can order gourment ready to heat turkey /wellington beef /peking duck meals and so much more. Ordered quick a lot of meals from them and its not only delicious also so convient with preping and cleaning.espcially if you are inviting friends and family over.you can also get Trees cheese cake

I love the new dishes, especially the sweet and sour fish. Great service, 10/10 would definitely come here again!

Higher end asian foods with a large selection of unique products. A great addition to the north shore. Interesting range of cooked foods and steamed buns. Clean and nicely decorated with good service.

Super excited that Sungiven foods supermarket opened Up in North Vancouver. It’s a Chinese supermarket complete with a bakery, dessert, Dim Sum counter and hot foods. Everything you need for Asian cooking with good quality, curated selection. Their baked goods, dim sum and prepared food is higher quality and better tasting than T & T, although the selection may is smaller. Their steamed buns are to die for!

A tough one. Wanted to be positive as selection of items is interesting but not special. Pricing is just ok and on the edge of being expensive. A bit disappointed in the end.

Welcome to our neighborhood Sungiven Foods. New store in the North Shore. Clean and fresh. Staffs were nice. Just a little slow at checkout. Vegetables are fresh, lots of varieties to choose from. Good parking. Good luck.

Good additional to the North shore, organic produce and high quality meat, price is way better than whole foods. With lots of cold dishes, hot buns and dim sum.
