Food was good tasting, maybe a tad expensive for the taste, but maybe it was just my taste on one meal. People were nice and it had a nice vibe.

Absolutely delicious! I highly recommend the Mediterranean eggs, also the chicken bacon ranch sandwich, omg! And the waffles are amazing too. We'll come back for sure!

Wonderful 1st visit. Had the Chilli chicken wrap, delicious. Also had the Strawberry smoothie which was yummy and perfect for a hot day. Hubby enjoyed the benny benny. So much food, had to take home 1/2 my wrap.the smoothie was so filling but so good.
Met the owners and they are wonderful. Will definitely visit again and share this with friends.

I accidentally found this place, and have recruited 3 good friends to accompany me at different days. Every breakfast I have had there was delicious and my friends loved it.

Never had a bad meal here yet. The staff are kinda friendly, most of the time, when they're in good mood, and you're behaving. But if you're bad, they'll be firm, yet fair. Kinda sounds like my parents!

Visiting from WA state, ate breakfast here on our last day. Simply amazing! Hands down the best huevos rancheros I've ever had. The flavor and size portion. Coffee was a bit too strong, hubby had the eggs, chorizo and potatoes. The chorizo is homemade and was also very good. Thank you for great food and friendly service!

My daughter and I decided to try out this little cafe one dreary morning for brunch, and boy were we not disappointed. I'd easily say these were some of the best waffles I've had, and I'm so glad they served them because I was *really * craving waffles

Been too long no benny's been in my tummy, lox and capers was a great choice!
My pal had the Trucker's breakfast and I noticed both of us cleaned up our plates. The home fries were killer good too.

Another obscure find in Victoria for those who want a quick brunch. The staff was super friendly and incredibly fast. The atmosphere was nice with collections of local art for sale and of course a nautical theme. Although quite small inside, there was outside patio seating.

Nice little hole in the wall cafe. Its pretty tiny 3 booths inside, with a eating 'bar'. There is a patio outside with a few more spots.

Food was good, though my eggs didnt suit me as much. Service was good and I like the cozy atmosphere of small cafes.

Busy little joint on the weekend, good spot for a a delicious breakfast. Has huevos Rancheros and they knocked my socks off. Lots of healthy options and plenty of variety! Just wish the coffee was a bit better, otherwise it would be 5 stars. Must try!

Staff and food were great, my wife agrees they have the best eggs Benny and the burger and fries I got were really good also. Cute little diner with a good atmosphere and good price.

Steph has a good thing going here, the food is excellent and the service is exceptional. The staff always remember my name and order and treat me like gold. It’s a textbook example of a family business. There’s nowhere else in Esquimalt that does breakfast like Sunnyside!

Excellent service, excellent coffee, decent selection and most importantly: delicious food! First time I stopped in back in 2017, I knew that it was my be favourite restaurant. Even through the dark days of "less than adequate" wake, they've turned the tables and found a batter that serves their restaurant justice! So glad I never have up on them. Phenomenal!

Pretty quaint cute little spot.mediterranean Egg Bennie's are amazing. Only complaint is if you order a soft poached egg it's gonna be served to you medium or hard poached.

I had a coffee while waiting on my order: the House Special of their Eggs Benny with a side of pan-fried potatoes. I still outside and waited for my order and the sun on a 85% stratus cloud-filled sky filled with optimism over the predicted weeklong rains.

The food was okay, I prefer a toasred English muffin in my bennies. My main issue was they did not ask anyone for contact info, clearly breaking covid rules. Makes you wonder what other rules are not followed!

Great little place. Food is very good. Interior is small with only 3 tables inside and chairs along the glass window. A couple of tables are outside in the patio area. Menu is above the till. You order at the till and pay and they bring it to the table. There is an all day breakfast menu with waffles, eggs benny, traditional as well as breakfast sandwich. There is a choice of sides with most of the breakfast menu. There is a lunch menu but we didn't choose from it. Service is friendly and quick. Food is hot and tasty. Bennies are cooked to order, soft medium or hard. Sauce is good. Buenos eggs are nicely cooked. Choice of tortilla and opt-in for hot sauce. There's enough to satisfy the appetite. A definite go to again. Prices are reasons of as well.

Stopped by here looking for a local restaurant for breakfast after an early morning work shift. Sunnyside did not disappoint, fantastic breakfast!

Wife and I stopped in last minute for brunch. Certainly not disappointed in anything here. Very customer focused and the food was amazing. This is a must for anyone who is hungry for a great tasting meal. Well worth it!

Great little cafe in Esquimalt BC. Friendly staff, great food and coffee with bonus points for a large washroom with change table.

What a pleasant surprise this was. The food was good, the service great, and prices fair. The only downside is this cafe is far better than the location provides for, so there can be quite a wait, or you may have to take your food to go. I will definitely be going back.

Great bennys. I like that they offer a selection of sides. I've never tried lunch items but have always been happy with their breakfasts.

I love their little outdoor patio, it's a quaint breakfast spot with great food. The Benny's have always been my favorite!

The food took a while but the taste was good, I liked the breakfast. But paying over $8 for a beer? That's insane, I never payed for a single beer that expensive ever.
