The staff is always helpful and sincerely interested to get to the bottom of our queries. Best is, always a smile to accompany each visit. Why not 5 stars? Well mother always says, there is space for improvement.

This is a beautiful building and the staff are so caring. The management truly care about the residents. Anybody would be lucky to have their loved one live here.

My Mom just spent 30 days at Sunrise for a respite stay after knee surgery. The staff were all very friendly and helpful to both my Mom and myself. They made her feel valued and part of the community. We are especially grateful to Kim, the Care Director, for ensuring a smooth transition from the hospital to Sunrise, including following up on some post-op issues.

The food was varied and nutritious, although we were slightly disappointed with the quality. It would’ve been nice to have non-processed cheese in the grilled cheese sandwiches, for example. That said, the service was excellent.

We were visiting Vancouver when my mom had an accident. We found ourselves possibly needing to find housing for her and my dad for a number of months as she could not travel back to Florida on a commercial flight.

I reached out to Sunrise and they were truly exceptional with the speed and effort they made to help us turn an emergency into a workable solution. I can't recommend Rosie Abad enough, she went above and beyond to help us. She provided us a tour the same day as my call and we were very impressed with the size and condition of the 2 bedroom apartment, the overall look of the main facility, the menu, and all the folks we met on the tour. Rosie also came out to the hospital the next day to evaluate my mom to determine what level of care she would need. She has continued to follow up with us weeks after the incident. She really cares about the folks she works with!

In the end we found an option to have her flown home on an AirMed flight so she could recover at home. But if that had not been the case, we would have definitely felt very comfortable moving her into Sunrise. If my folks lived in Vancouver, this would certainly be a TOP place they would consider for their full time home!

Thank you Sunrise for giving us a positive option when our lives were in crisis mode, far from home.

Moving mom into Sunrise was an incredible challenge as she was not a willing participant. Everyday was an uphill battle that we feared had no end. When I look back now I can’t believe we ever had a hard time because now she’s loving it. I can’t thank staff enough for the big things they do to care for mom but also the little things, like braid her long hair, that mean so much to us. Her disease has progressed to the point she sometimes doesn’t recognize us and doesn’t know who her friends are but I am comforted knowing that everyday mom is treated with kindness & respect.

Although the phrase, "There's no place like home" is true, when someone can no longer live safely at home, Sunrise of Vancouver is the perfect alternative.
When our mother could no longer live independently, despite the fact that she was as "sharp as a tack", we started researching different assisted living residences. Sunrise of Vancouver fulfilled all of our requirements. On top of that, we had received a wonderful recommendation from a friend whose mother had recently been a resident.
From the moment our mother moved into Sunrise of Vancouver we knew we had made the right decision. The entire staff were consistently cheerful, friendly, kind and respectful to all the residents and their families. There was a positive sense of community in a warm and inviting environment.
Our mother's designated Care managers were knowledgeable professionals who delivered exceptional care in a warmhearted way. They always remembered our mother's "likes" and went out of their way to assist her if necessary. She enjoyed chatting and laughing with them.
Yes, "There's no place like home", but Sunrise Of Vancouver made our mother's last home so welcoming and comforting. We will be forever grateful.

The experience at Sunrise has been amazing. The staff is wonderful, especially Rosie (Sales associate) and Kim (RN). As this has been a very difficult time for our family, both of these ladies have made it so much easier for us. They are both such caring people. It’s such a good feeling to know that my aunt & uncle are going to be living here.

Although the cost is prohibitive, it is justified in the quality of care my mother receives. The number of staff they have contributes to the cost but is also why she receives this high quality of care. As we have no family near Vancouver, I am happy I can rest assured of the care she is receiving.i receive timely updates, am informed of all changes or possible problems and i have regular Facetime appointments set up by staff. Well done.
