Super 8 by Wyndham Fort Nelson BC

WOULD NOT RECCOMEND THIS HOTEL. When we went to book our room, we were told it was $111.00. So we when ahead and booked the reservation and gave all our information including credit card info.and before hanging up I asked how much was the total and was told it would be $166.77. So we canceled the reservation as we were not willing to pay that much in taxes as that's what we were told that why it was so high. After canceling the reservation we got a text saying the reservation was $208. A far cry from $111.00. Not impressed at all.
Then we when directly to the hotel and got registered. We were NOT told that the swimming pool was under maintenance. We still had to pay full price for the room. Knowing all this, we could have got a room next door at motel 6 for $74.99.

Great location, front desk staff was very nice and the continental breakfast in the morning was pretty good. Only down side was our 1st room being slightly dirty and had plumping issues with toilet and sink, but the receptionist was quick to help us find a new room!

I've stayed at this location a few time over the years and by comparison has always been friendly, clean rooms, fair prices, and on one occasion I left personal property in the room at check out. They mailed my property to me.thanks for going lover above to look after your. Customers.

Friendly front desk staff. The fridge had hair in it like pet hair. The room was spacious but very old mattress with stains on mattress pad. The couch had stains on cushion, so they had it flipped to the wrong way, so you did not see it. The mirrors were streaked, and the bathroom door and kleenex face plate were all goobered and needed cleaning. I stayed for 3 nights due to work and did not ask staff to fix the issues. I left note indicating what to improve on with cleaning. Things were being renovated so there was noise from the vehicles and work outside. The only breakfast item that I made use of were boiled eggs as nothing was gluten free. They did not have fresh fruit available.

For a last minute booking and flexible pet policy, it was a great and easy choice to stay here. Very clean rooms too

Poor service without proper information given. There was a planned power outage at night for 5 hrs and we weren’t informed at check in. AC unit and TV both didn’t work in room. No apologies were given.
Only positive was the pool.

Great hotel for reasonable cost. The pool area was clean, the water heated, the slide worked great and the hot tub was enjoyable as well. There were plenty of clean towels. The chairs were a bit uncomfortable but I didn't come to the pool to sit around.
The room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was included and well stocked.

Older doesn't have to mean that they just no longer care.bring your own soap and conditioner, because the containers in the shower are empty. If you are looking for the breakfast, don't show up in the last 45 minutes because there's nothing left and if you bring it to their attention, you will be completely ignored. The Woodlands doen the street is much better option for a better price.

My husband and I stayed here for a 17 day mill shut down, it was awesome! Service is amazing, smiles for everyone! They clean your room everyday, unlike a lot of hotels that use Covid as an excuse these days.
Free breakfast with great selections, a working hot tub and pool with slide.

We've stayed there many times on our trips up & down the Alaska Highway, and we've never been disappointed. Nice place. Nice people.

If you need to sleep during the day I don't recommend, booked the room to sleep for the day checked in at 5, got to sleep at 7am told to get out at noon, house keeping was arguing through the door, front desk was rude even though the room was booked for the day. Im sure this place has seen night workers before, Don't recommend

Beds are cozy, staff are decent, rooms are for the most part fairly clean but some room for improvement for sure.

I do not enjoy what I’d call an overpowering artificial floral air freshener in the rooms, but to each their own.

Management is very responsive to concerns raised.

The frontier is fabulous and the place but im not happy with the room service and the furniture are dusty for the just came in guest like me with allergies and will spend my 21 days again.

Very clean with functional indoor pool, water slide, hot tub, and breakfast included. The room was incredible. 2 queen.kitchenette, sofa bed.armchair, and desk. Perfect! Couldn't ask fir more.

They were okay nothing special, I gave them three stars because of our disastrous interaction with the super 8 in Fairbanks! I will never stay at another Wyndham hotel again! The super 8 in Fairbanks, cancelled our reservation stole our money and was dirty, and destroyed the reputation of every Wyndham in my opinion! I want super 8 and Wyndham to pull there sponsorship and end their relationship with the one in Fairbanks! That's why I am leaving this review if that happens I may reconsider staying at a Wyndham again on anyone of my many business trips or family vacations!

Stayed for a night here. The hotel has a fantastic location, right next to highway. Haa huge parking too. It appeared to be under renovation (at ground level). Receptionist was friendly and the check was smooth. They also have the water slide in the pool area. However, the rooms were disappointing. First room had overpowering chemical smell right when we entered. Asked to switch room, no problem with that. There was only 1 other room available. That had wet carpet throught. The washroom waz small too. Overall, the property is outdated & it is need of extensive makeover. Not much options in the city, so was thankful to have one that was decent enough.
