Super 8 by Wyndham Lake Country/Winfield Area

Do not recommend. Person at the front desk told me they were out of single rooms so if I paid for a room with 2 kings they would refund me the difference in the morning ($50) because he didn't speak English welland didnt know how to do it. Then in the morning the same guy said they can't do that and there was nothing he could do for me.
Avoid!

Great rooms, easily approachable location. Breakfast left a lot to be desired. Otherwise nice stay. Calm, serene experience.

We were looking for a place to stay close to the kangaroo sanctuary. We were surprised by the service, the rooms and overall experience from this hotel. I would most certainly recommend this facility.

This Super 8 was a perfect stop off before our way to Banff. The staff was so nice, especially Ivy who had recovered my dad's lost wallet and went above and beyond to mail it back to us. If we're in the area we'd revisit 100% just to say hello to her again.

The room was clean, and everything worked. The owner was very accommodating of us and our pet, and also extra stuff like towels and blankets. Most places I’ve stayed at tell you that what is in the room is all you get, but not here.

I will be back, and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

Hotel was clean, no issues checking in or out. Breakfast was surprisingly good, would stay again next time I’m passing through.

Staff was great, Rooms were decent shape but clean. WiFi was a issue in my room as I would only get between 1-2 bars so my phone would drop the wifi and switch to cellular without me noticing.

Fix the wifi and It would be a 5 star

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. If you call the hotel directly you can make arrangements to leave your vehicle at the hotel during your travels instead of the airport which can be a challenge in Kelowna.

I stayed this beautiful hotel 3 days last month. The place is very cozy，owner is very friendly，service is also very good，definitly will come back！

We very much enjoyed our stay. The staff are very attentive and caring. Wonderfully situated near beach trails and converted railway trails. And for us, very close to two wonderful Vegan restaurants, Salty Caramel Kitchen and Invati Cafe and Smoothy Bar. Very comfortable beds and rooms. A great experience.

Excellent service at the front desk, and a nice clean motel to sleep in. It's right across the street from a plaza with the Save-on-foods grocery store, IDA pharmacy with a post office inside, liquor store and more.

Worst super 8 ive ever stayed at. Hot tub wasn't working, no coffee in the morning and last but not least the bathroom was not clean.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for one night. The waiters were very welcoming and the environment was comfortable. We loved it and we will come again when the opportunity arises.

We stayed 2 night with my family. Everything we asked for was responded to quickly and with sincere care and efficiently. Room and bed was great! Highly recommended

Cons: The water in the shower was not very warm even though I turned it up all the way. The drainage was awful in the shower, I had water up to my ankles while showering. Hot tub was in a weird location and was right outside someone’s room so you could see in their room and they could see you in your hot tub. The hot tub also was no where near clean. Pros: Staff was nice, good price, room was clean, animal friendly, breakfast was decent, and it was located near a Tim Hortons, save on foods and gas station.

We had a month long stay here at the Super 8 in Lake Country waiting for our home in the area. We were so impressed with the friendly, accommodating staff here, and for their attention to us in keeping us comfortable and feeling welcomed. I had a lovely stay here, the beds are very comfortable. We even got some decent channels on the tv, all around a nice stay. I would stay here again.

For the price, it is great. While the decor is getting dated, the rooms I’ve had are a good size, comfortable and clean.

It was easy to find. The room was clean. The staff was helpful. The cold breakfast was great - good quality and plentiful.

It's a super 8. Friendly, courteous staff. Quite and clean. Love the mattress in my room. Great sleeps. Stayed 3 nights while working in the area.

I booked through expedia but accidently chose the wrong dates. I was on the phone with super 8 at the time and they promised me I would not be charged twice. Well Expedia and the hotel charged me and Super 8 now says theres nothing they can do about it. I was lied to and took my money anyway! BE CAREFUL WHEN BOOKING!

Stayed for 3 nights in November 2019. Check in was fine. Rooms were dated but clean and quiet. Hair dryer didn't work. Asked for kleenex as there was none and was told they were all out (for 3 days?). Water pressure was good but shower curtain rod was about to fall out of the wall. Housekeeping was minimal - only made the beds - did not wipe anything down or vacuum. Wifi worked but was slow. Fridge worked but so much ice buildup in the freezer portion it had actually broken it and was open to the fridge. Continental breakfast was good. Had decent coffee, tim hortons muffins, bagels and crram cheese and eggos with real maple syrup, yogurt, cereal and juice boxes.

Very close to Kelowna Airport. Closer than motels in Kelowna. Easy check in and very helpful staff. He gave us a goodie bag with muffins, juice and yogurt as we had an early departure and would miss breakfast.

Great location. Wood Lake is 5 minutes’ driving distance from this motel. Aspen Grove Golf Club is located 2 km away. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Truly a terrible place.

While the decor is getting dated, the rooms I’ve had are a good size, comfortable and clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast is what you’d expect.

The hotel is not only the cheapest in price in the region but leaves me with the impression of a more expensive hotel thanks to the friendly staff and overall visual look outside and simple cleanliness inside.
