Super 8 by Wyndham Quesnel BC

I was honestly hesitant to stay here after reading some of the reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised. The man at the front desk was very serious, but also took great care of me and made sure that I was in a room that suited my needs and understood what amenities I could access. The room itself was a little worn (some peeling paint, cracked tiles in the bathroom) but it was super clean and warm.

Be aware that third party sites say that this place offers breakfast, but they don't have the facilities for it!

Please save your money do not stay at Super 8 in Quesnel.
This was absolutely waste of my time, and my money, the management of this hotel is very rude and they should not be working with people.
Rooms at this hotel are not cleaned properly and they are absolutely disgusting.
Do Not stay here

Horrible experience. Booked reservation for me and my husband in a pet friendly room as we had our dog. Arrived at checkin time and office was closed. Called manager and were rudely told we have to wait about 15-30 minutes. Other customers Arrived and we all waited. When I tried to check in manager told me and my husband we have to pay for 2 rooms. He got belligerent when I questioned why as it was me and my husband. He called me some names and tore up my reservation and told me to cancel through Expedia.meaning I would be penalized 1 nights stay though he ordered us to leave. Expedia was great and helped us out after speaking to him and realized he was gouging customers. DO NOT STAT HERE. RUDE AND A RIP OFF. OTHER CUSTOMERS LEFT WHEN THEY SAW HIM IN ACTION. No other customers at hotel. Other hotels aware of bad customer service and attempts to dupe customers.

I had the absolute worst experience with these people. The person who runs the front desk, can't even speak English and doesn't even understand what a deposit is for a damn hotel room. I will absolutely never stay at this place. Not to mention its expensive for how run down it is.

Horrible service, worst place in Quesnel to stay. Very rude service for no reason at all. If I could give ZERO stars I would. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND STAYING HERE, BEWARE, YOU WILL BE TREATED POORLY

Save your money and go elsewhere. Very poor management/front desk.

Didn't even get to stay here as I was kicked off property for asking for clairity on the room rate after they forgot to imput our reservation and just remembered having a phone call with us.

After driving almost 9hrs here from Edmonton to be treated this way by the owner was shocking. I have worked out of town for 15 years now staying in hotels/motels and have never been treated or spoken to this way by staff or management. Absolutely embarrassing from a company stand point and will be filing a complaint with Super 8 about this representative of their brand.

Go to the Golden Pan Motel, dated rooms be perfect for an overnight or out of town workers. Good rates and kitchens.

The place was so old and run down, the bathtub was disgusting, we got there in the afternoon and it was 38 degrees and the fridge was not turned on and took 6 hours to get cold, the old air conditioner, old fridge, and microwave were all plugged into a very old power bar.if you wanted to use the microwave you had to unplug the air conditioner. The carpet was so old and had a nasty smell. The laundry soap had such a strong smell I had a headache every morning.the outside of the building the landscaping was so run down. Lifted landscape bricks that you could easily break an ankle.the owner allowed people to smoke right outside their rooms Pot smell was coming into our room. We couldn't sit outside after dinner unless we wanted to get high. The big disappointment was no breakfast. So we had to get all our bike gear on every morning to go get breakfast. Just such an over all disappointment at this hotel. And not walking distance to anything.

Clean room with comfortable beds. Far enough from the highway to avoid traffic noise. Eric (manager) was wonderful, very accommodating.

I drove from Manitoba- reserved the room a month in advance- I get to super 8 and the guy tells me I don’t have any rooms available for you. I tell him I reserved my room a month ago, he says yea but I don’t have anything pet friendly rooms available. Quesnel has a lot of hotels I’m sure you’ll find other accommodations. Very unprofessional. Strong recommend spending your money elsewhere!

The room was missing a coffee pot and ac didn't work. One call to the office and the guy was up there right away with a coffee pot and got the ac working right away.

Ground floor room was dated tiny bathroom, bath was dirty with no mat therefore extremely slippery and dangerous. The outside of the property is very untidy and requires extensive maintenance. Pillows and bed comfortable. The lobby had a pungent odour. Overpriced by far

Because of the reviews, I asked if we could see a room before we decided to stay. The man at the front desk said no, and told me to go stay somewhere else, super 8 = super rude

Pretty decent rooms. It's an older motel but rooms where clean and service was great.

Awful service I arrived with my 3 children and my partner and were turned away, leaving us to find another means of a place to stay the manager was extremely rude and yelled at me we prepaid for our room we now have to wait about 6 days for a full refund

Room dirty, coffee maker and fridge not working, heat completely off when we arrived. No restaurant on site. Not staying here again. Beds uncomfortable.

I went to book 5 rooms here for our crews and they wouldn’t rent to us as a previous contractor, completely unrelated to ours, damaged some of their rooms and didn’t pay for the damages.

Absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional business practice.
