Location is about the only positive thing I can say about this hotel. Rooms were discussing, toilet wasnt cleaned, I asked for the sheets to be changed as they had remnants of debris under the blanket as they were slept in and remade.when I requested this it was impossible to find anyone and when they reluctantly changed them it was with additude.
Bathroom walls had what I'd hope to be muddy water splashed on the walls.

Stay away, this is not the experience you want

Got to the hotel early and asked if we can check in. The front desk guy said no your rooms not ready. I asked if he wanted to check my reservation and he said no check in before 3pm. We went to our hockey game so we checked in much later. To our surprise when we went to crawl into bed the sheets were dirty. Like debris in there, The sheets were clearly used. I called the front desk asking for new bedding and after receiving attitude from the front desk, the guy came up with sheets. He got irritated and said he was going to get room service to make the beds. Disgusted, Disappointed, and never want to stay here again. SO GROSS, DO BETTER!

Horrible place. Unclean, broken appliances, mold on the bread and coffee was garbage. DO NO STAY HERE

I've stayed in quite a few hotels but I never experienced what I did at this hotel. I was in my hotel room by myself in bed, and the hotel attendant knocked on my door and than proceeded to open it! I yelled out, and he shut it, and mumbled "sorry mam" and than I thought I heard him knock on another door. I'm not sure what the hell he was doing, but I was not comfortable. I got up and went to my door, re-locked it with the bolt that slides across the top. Needless, to say I will not be staying there again.

Enjoyed our stay. The fellows running the hotel were quick to help and accommodate our every need. The rooms could be a little cleaner and the shower curtain bleached or replaced.

Terrible, there is no one at the desk you have to call the phone and one shows up after a quarter of an hour. There are no towels in the rooms, you have to call the desk from the phone. They are not worn for everyone. Breakfast opens late and when it opens there is nothing, not even coffee

Location was good, and service was great to fit us in at 1am when we needed to get some sleep on our drive. Room was fine, but housekeeping could be improved. Sheets were clean but floors did not look like they were vacuumed. The stay did what it needed to do for an overnight sleep.

I usually dont write negative reviews but this place is definitely a 1 star. We had no towels, requested them and they never arrived. Cleaning wagon and garbage bin were in the hall at 6 pm when we arrived after being evacuated from our home due to wild fires. Wad still there in the morning. A very small amount of toliet paper. Coffee pot didnt work. A/C squealed. Water pressure terrible. Would never recommend this place. Many others options in Salmon Arm.

Kind, friendly receptionist insisted on carrying my heavy cat and his bags to the room. The room was clean enough, but the hallway is dingy and dark with a dirty carpet. The window in the room is dirty, and Wifi is weak.

They forgot something! The welcome mat that says: Welcome to our Dirty Cave"! Where to start. The air conditioning is so loud, it wakes you up, every time it kicks in, and it continues to rattle and shake for a while. NOT REALLY cooling off the room in the process.

The walls in the dark, cave bathroom are visibly dirty. Drips and smudges on the walls. You need a flashlight to shower. So dark in there!

Oh, ya! And DON'T look under the beds! I DID! Big mistake! There's years worth of debris under there. Coke cans, candy wrappers, wooden sticks? Maybe for a window bar? Because the pub is right outside the window.

It seems the one guy is running the whole show by himself. I guess he's doing the best he can.
Oh, and they charged me for TWO nights and I stayed for one!

The Super 8 in 100 Mile is SO MUCH better! Live and learn! Good luck out there folks!

Went to check in at the front desk in the afternoon and spent 10 minutes waiting for someone to get off his phone to check us in. Then we went up to our room and the guy cleaning had garbage bags scattered all over the hall so I had to move them aside to get through. Got to our room which was outdated and looked like someone spent 5 minutes cleaning it. Towels were not replaced so we had to go ask for towels. Our TV didn’t work. When we finally got towels they were stained. Breakfast was toast, cheerios, yogurt, apples and bananas. Staff were not overly friendly and could use some training in hospitality. Two of their staff were on their phones just sitting on the ground in the parking lot holding their brooms. Did not feel welcomed and can’t believe we spent that much money to stay here.

The Property in Salmon Arm needs to be shut down fumigated and clearned extrememly througly. Owner's/Managemnet at this property DO NOT CARE! I switched rooms 6 times before there was one that had that looked like clean sheets on 1 of the queen beds. Aboluterly not acceptable! I don't care that it is an older property but f'n CLEAN IT and Wash all the BEDDING. Blood stained, never changed sheets, dirty towels, bugs, and garbage all over the room from other guests that had't been cleaned up old moldy food in the refigerator. Disgusting bathroom with mold in the toilet, sick & tub, baseboards etc.and other gross body fluids, Tub that is black that has never ever has seen a scrub brush or disinfectant which none of the hotel has! Abosolutely horrible experience, myself and kids still have axiety of our stay! We have stayned in hundreds of hotels I have never given a review this time it was warrented! CLEAN THIS PROPERTY UP! The staff didn't even care they thought it was funny and would rather be cleaning their car at the front entrance of the building and you would have to walk around it to get to the lobby door and tripping over cords and garbage in the entrance going into the lobby tripping over cords as well. Would of left it was unfornate that other hotels were booked up for the week. I wonder why no one wants to stay at this disgusting place! BROKEN TV, REFIGERATOR, HEAT/COOL SYSTEM SMELLED NEEDS CLEANING

I booked a room on Friday to sleep in on Sunday as I was working 2 double shifts and thought it would be safer than driving 45 minutes home in the forecasted snow storm. They quoted me a $75 flat rate if I paid cash. When I got there they seemed confused that I was there and didn't honour the flat rate. Whatever I just needed to sleep before I went back to work in the afternoon. I had a shower in a dirty bathroom with a leaky shower head and clogged bath tub drain and went to sleep. Housekeeping knocked on my door at 11am and woke me up. So I basically paid $90 for a gross shower and a 3 hour nap. Also the front desk guy smelled of horrific BO. Would not recommend this place to my worst enemy.

The room "214" had a few black hair, and I asked twice for a non-smoking room.
When we opened our door, our window was wide open, and it was only 50 Fahrenheit in there. We closed it, turned the heater on, and then we realized how bad it smelled from previous people smoking in here like a chimney. We were tired from traveling.otherwise, we wouldn't have stayed here. Plus, there was a dirty towel hanging in the bathroom. I don't like to leave bad reviews, but this place needs better housekeeping. The bed was comfy.

This place is disgusting. Don't be fooled by the "good prices". We drove from Ucluelet and wanted a place to rest before continuing our trip home to Alberta. This was the only avaliable place so I booked it through Expedia. The reviews on Expedia were better than Google so I'm disappointed at the false expectation & will be posting to Expedia about it as well. Noone should have to stay in a place like this. The floors were covered in dirt. I went to clean up a water spill and the towel was covered in dirt after as if the floors havent been cleaned in months (if not longer) the surfaces all looked dirty & dusty. The bathroom floor had human hair, dirt & small pieces of garbage all over. The toilet had dried up pee on it and the bathtub had a thin layer of dirt & grime. There was what I can only assume is mold above the shower on the wall & the sink faucet leaked all over when turned on. The only thing that looked clean was the sheets and towels but who's to know for sure. My partner slept on top of the covers the whole night because he didn't trust it. When I booked the room I called the hotel to confirm and let them know we would have a late check in with our dogs. We got there and he put us in one room only to tell us we had to change rooms and pay an additional $25 for our dogs after we brought them in. Expedia shows this place as pet friendly which they are but I was not told there was a pet fee when booking or when I called to confirm. Overall disappointed. Staff are friendly but hotel and rooms are disgusting. They really need to consider new management or ownership. This place needs a major update and deep clean. Do not book here!

It's really hard to find affordable accommodations these days and this was perfect for one night. It's nothing fancy, of course, but the front desk staff is super friendly, the room was clean and overall we had a good stay. The breakfast that's included is not much, so don't expect much more than a bowl of cereal and some fruit.

No one at front desk at ANY time, had to use front desk phone to contact reception, poorly lit room, dark and not the cleanest, dirty coffee maker with minimal supplies eg.tea or sugar was non existant, fridge froze all my food, water pressure in shower was pathetic. Supposed breakfast open at 7.30 am. No service until 7.45 am when staff member arrived (same gentleman that ran the front desk) he then had to make coffee and set out a few apples, bananas, yoghurt and granola bars. A juice maker/dispenser was proudly displayed but sadly no juice was available. Very disappointed. Highly doubt I will stay here again.very

The most disgusting and the most dirties hotel I have ever stayed in. Every single inch of the room is dirty. Tub looks like its never been cleaned since this place started to operate. Someone’s socks on the floor, dirty carpets (packs from candies, stains, so much things on the floor), lots of dust everywhere, bedding sheets is something else, I have never seen something like this in my life, by never I really mean NEVER.lots of hair on the bedding and stains that made me throw up whole my family was sleeping dressed, just because this place wasn’t simply cleaned.horrible horrible horrible and disgusting place to stay in, just like from the horror movie, would never recommend it even to the worst enemy.

I saw many negative comments on this hotel, but from my latest experience, overall quality of the hotel is fair and acceptable, the front desk staff are friendly. Simple breakfast is provided too. The hotel charged me $76 (including fee and tax) for 1 night, what's more should I expect?

He called the police and explained the situation. They came almost immediately and dispersed the party. Why the staff could not have done this hours earlier, and why did they send a paying guest to fix THEIR problem is beyond me? The next morning, they asked how it went. This has ruined Wyndham’s good name for me and the worst experience I have ever had in my extensive travels.

We will avoid this hotel on any future trips to Salmon Arm.

The head boards were so dusty they looked like they hadn't been dusted in months. There was a large sticky patch on the side table. There was hair on the bathroom floor and through the towels. The bath towels were stained. There was garbage behind the TV stand and the side table. There were holes in the bed cover and the shower curtain. Plus the garbage truck goes by at 6am and wakes you up.

First room we were given had blood stains and hair in the bed. Room wasn’t very clean. Bathroom had no flooring and toilet had hair all over it. Sink was cracked and door panel was loose on toilet door. We were given a different room. Sheets were cleaner but rest of the room very dusty and had not been cleaned very well.

This hotel needs major renovations done and money spent. I definitely would. It recommend staying here.

If you are looking to go out of business, you are on the right track!

I thought our bug infested room in Thunder Bay was bad.this was absolutely terrible! Hairs and stains on all sheets and towels, beds looked like they had been slept in - loosely made, pillows down, and again, dirty. Layers of dust on all furniture. We washed the tub before having a bath and the cloth was caked and disgusting with grime. Who knows when this place was cleaned last. Oh, and scroll down to read the reviews about the steam from the shower setting off fire alarms, because that's still happening! Tells me not only has the issue not been resolved all this time but neither have the vents been cleaned. There is an exposed battery in our room from our smoke alarm being removed. This is by far the worst hotel experience I've had staying in a hotel. I am willing to bet that upon inspection, this place would be condemned. Oh! And don't let me forget about the bribery upon our arrival. We were not charged for our dog but were told by front desk that we could "slip him a $20" and not get charged on the card. That tells me that rooms are not properly being cleaned with pets. Absolutely DISGUSTING!
If you've read this review do yourself a favor and look up a different motel, spend the extra $20 and get a good room that you trust has been cleaned at LEAST once in the last week.

I managed hotels for 25 years and travelled extensively as a motorcycle enthusiast and stayed at many low end places but I can honestly say this hotel ranks as the worst. I feel guilty even rating this hotel because it is everything but a hotel. Management is poor, housekeeping is mostly non existent and free breakfast is a fruit a yogurt and a coffee or juice, no seating and no attendant. Don’t bother complaining as English at this hotel is not one of the amenities. Thankfully our four day visit required us to be out from early morning to very late at night and only had to sleep. The Super 8 brand will suffer because of very poor oversight of their members such as this Salmon Arm unit.

Many stains and broken things in the room such as the toilet seat. Quite noisy too. Breakfast is non-existent: you are being handed a granola bar and you can't even sit.

We found mold in the bathroom under the toilet, they offered other rooms and every other room had mold under the toilet. All PET FRIENDLY. This place should be shut down. We where only offered a refund of our last night there which we never even stayed for.

I gave one star because the bed was comfortable. The room was so dirty! You could see the piles of dust around. The carpet was so nasty we wore shoes the whole time in the room. The bathroom was even worse! Two out of the four towels had dirty finger prints on them- you could see the mold build up and yet again looked as tho it hasn’t been cleaned in awhile- We paid $170 for one night stay and it was way over priced for a stinky dirty room. We have stayed in Super8 before and they seem to be well managed but this one was not managed at all

Room was not very clean, lock on door did not work correctly, and neither main door or bathroom door fit the frame and wouldn't close very easy, no towels were provided, no coffee (only decaf) no sugar or creamer bathtub would not drain.all this for over $300 a night
Terrible experience never again

Poor service. Hallway carpets were dirty and there were 2 screws on the floor. Bathroom floor was dirty and there was a foil wrapper on the floor. There were 3 hairs in the bathtub and a used wet face cloth. The bed sheets did not seem clean plus there was a hole in the fitted sheet. The carpets didn't look vacuumed. Plus, no facial tissue or plastic drinking cups.t

Only a place to crash for night. Good location is th only plus. Over priced rooms very dated, sink didnt drain, air condiotioner sounded like it was trying to take off, No continental breakfast and the chairs were stacked on the tables and said do not use.were away 10 days and this was the worst room we stayed in

Terrible, avoid at all costs. Dirty, dishonest, noisy, garbage strewn around, unsafe as room had no smoke detector. If I could.give it 0 stars, I would.

Friendly front desk staff! Very comfy beds. Full bath tub which was nice to soak in after a long day of driving. Room was dark at night, thank goodness.
Right beside the highway so it was loud when windows were open but it was quiet as soon as we closed the window.
There was a faint smell of cigarettes but thankfully it was not overpowering.
The hotel online does say it includes breakfast but all it really is, is a granola bar and coffee.
All in all, it was a good experience and a good hotel to stay at for a night.

Pictures are NOT accurate. Hallway and rooms have stinky, smelly, stained carpets. Sink was cracked. Everything felt dirty. Windows were dirty and had no screen. 'Lock' was a stick of wood. Housekeeping cart was in the hall all night. Most rooms were kept ajar for some reason. Bottle of miticide in housekeeping area that was messy and dirty. 'Breakfast Included' means a granola bar and orange juice. NOT breakfast! When I tried to speak with someone at the front desk, there was nobody available - you have to use the phone. Nobody came to the front desk. Will never stay here again.

Parking area was noticably littered. Dirty carpet in lobby, halls and room. In room: large stains on upholstered chair and on ottoman, old food in fridge. Had to find other acccomodation.
Thought the Wyndham Super 8 brand could be trusted, so did people we have spoken to since.

Absolutely disgusting. No one at the desk for check out. Bathrooms were not cleaned at all, beds barely made, hallways poorly lit and dirty. Don’t stay here unless you like to clean!

Room was clean but the bed and chairs need changing. The bed creaked and a big depression in the middle very uncomfortable. Coffee in room was only decaf.

The manager was nice and friendly. Stated they were short-staffed.
The front desk closes at 9pm but I had no idea as it wasn’t stated anywhere.
When we arrived, we were given a room that was already occupied by another family. Lol!

They need major upgrades and it wasn’t clean at all, super overpriced for what you see and get.

This motel is functional. We had a pet and this motel was the only one that had vacancy so we are grateful for that. Our initial room was unclean and the fridge was broken so they agreed to give us a new room. The new room was cleaner but the fridge was still leaking. If I didn't need to stay here because of my pet I would not have stayed here. Their rooms are cleaned inadequately and not at all thoroughly. The "breakfast" is a typical fruit granola bar yogurt coffee affair at a place like this.

Friendly front desk staff but as others have noted…not a great stay. First room (double queen) had odd stains on the bedspread but we were going to ignore, but AC didn’t work. Got moved to the “best room in the hotel” (double queen with a couch and table/chairs). Looked great at first (laminate floor, ac worked). Started settling in. White creamy stuff on beadspread (lotion…we hope) bed made but has multiple hair in it and looks slept in. Garbage full. Floor dirty. Food in fridge. Toilet dirty (someone’s guts weren’t happy). Tub was grossly dirty (later realized drain mostly clogged and so scunge builds up as you stand in it). Towel had unpleasant stains. We got some groceries in town and picked up Lysol wipes and disinfectant Febreeze. Got new sheets from front desk and changed them ourselves, Febreezeing everything we could. Cleaned toilet, sink, tub. Clean enough to stay the night now but we’ve decided we don’t need to ever book another #Super8, no matter what the deal might be! Only book if you value a cheap room over a clean bed.

Dated, dirty. Showers have barely any pressure. Pillows are the worst and super flat. Breakfast was non existent and included granola bar and yogurt which was not kept in the fridge. Not worth the price.

Checked in late rooms for cleaning however whoever reads this check your sink and tub drain in room 209. Apart from that the stay was wonderful
