Super 8 by Wyndham Sicamous

Checked in, went to room. Got ready for bed, pulled the covers back and saw the stains all over the sheets. Took the photos, went to the front desk.
Told the employee that there was stains on my bed and I wanted a new room that the bed was dirty. He argued and told me no, there was no stains and it was cleaned. I showed him the photos and said look at the stains.he proceeded to tell me, yes but the sheets were cleaned and were clean. I said no, I don't care. I don't sleep on sheets with stains. I wanted a new room. Again, he told me the bed was clean. I then said, how would it look with these photos posted to the internet. At that time, he said ok, and gave us a new room.

I don't like reviewing bad, and try not to if you read my other reviews. But this really wasn't good business and I don't want anyone else to experience this either. I was really disgusted with seeing stains like this on a hotel bed.

You can do better Super 8. And you need to.period.

Other then that, location wasn't bad, next to moose maguire a good pub. The rooms have new flooring, are a bit old, and have odd fragrances in them.

Stay was good.
Room was clean.
Location was good.
Breakfast was Ok.
Reception service was perfect! Uday was very polite and helpful.

So surprised. The location is great. Nice restaurant next door with a water view. Well kept apartments on either side. Good, clean beds and breakfast included. Wifi great. Floors are vinyl planks not carpet. Yay.

Staff was really nice and waited until 2am when we got there to check us in. Room was clean.

Cheap hotel if that's what your looking for, hardly any parking if your pulling a trailer and not much street parking near by. There's no hot tub as it said it did online. Breakfast was pretty skimpy but better than nothing. Also half the rooms have updated scan pads and ours was the stick your card in and out style and the card would not stay programmed we had to go every night to get it programmed.

Had all the necessary amenities we required for our stay. Nicest staff ever we had seen at any motel.

We spent our night yesterday on our way to Toronto. The motel is clean and organized according to the needs.

Room was absolutely disgusting not to mention the mouse in the room. And a feller still made us pay for the night

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. This “hotel” was absolutely disgusting, the room was not clean whatsoever. Baseboards were covered in dust and hair, none of the taps were wiped properly. The floors were extremely dirty, no sweeping or mopping was done for at least a week. Stains on the bedding and the chairs and couches were not cleaned either. This is not what you would expect from a super 8 hotel, on my list of never going there again.

This is a nice clean motel. The people are friendly and the rates are quite reasonable. It was quiet at night and I plan to stay there again. Kevin Marois

The floors were absolutely disgusting and I doubt they have been washed in over a month. We had to wipe up after my dog spilled water on the floor and were shocked to see the towel was absolutely black. Both the room and bathroom floors were the same - just filthy. We mentioned it to the front desk and he seemed surprised, but didn't offer to do anything about it. I've crossed this off my list of places to stay in Salmon Arm for sure.

This property was a huge disappointment. It certainly was not as presented in the marketing photos. The room was not clean, floors and baseboards dirty, beds sloppily made and was overall very dated, worn and noisy. Management did note quiet time was midnight and it would be quieter by then, even though municipal bylaw states 11: 00. We ended up having to leave without even using the room as we were so tired from travelling all day and just needed to sleep. Management refused to refund our money. We found a great hotel just down the road but it was an expensive night for us.lesson learned.

DO NOT STAY HERE room was dirty they never cleaned the room even though asked multiple times ac is old barely works no screens on windows broken windows breakfast is stale bagels and cereal service was non existence and you get to listen to drunks all night from the pub save yourself the hassle find somewhere else

Rooms were very dirty. Bed was not even made when we checked in. Shower hardly cleaned and there wasd coffee in the coffee pot from the previous guests. The smell in the room was so off putting we decided to stay at a different hotel. Super 8 would not refund any portion of our stay and had no other rooms to offer us. Would never stay here again. Not recommended.

Would not recommend for families or anyone who wants a good night’s sleep. Rooms are not sound-proof at all. Could clearly hear the conversations of people partying near us late into the night. Rooms were reasonably clean but that was the only positive. The pub seems to attract a very inconsiderate crowd who like their loud trucks.

I was absolutely disgusted and concerned for my family's health, especially as covid is still a problem. Apparently super 8 does not know what's happening in the world right now, as covid 19 effects the respiratory system. After getting into our room late around 930pm and driving 8 hours we went to bed but keep having problems breathing. I figured out that it was the air conditioner. Looks like it was not cleaned for more then a year. And I have a 2 months baby that was breathing this in and extremely upset that super 8 is not taking the health and safety of its guests and employees. Then I started questioning the whole place. Went down to the front office and their air conditioning system was even worse. Like a black filter. 100% unacceptable. Should be shut down for inspection for health and safety.

Dirty floor that hadn't been cleaned in weeks or months, stained sheets. Front desk offered me a filthy mop and a 28 dollar discount on and overpriced room. Stay elsewhere

Staff and management were very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly! Easy as pie check out and check in Nice rooms with standard tv, radio, coffeemaker+coffee and a full bathroom, ac, semi blackout curtains
staff service (housekeeping) was very clean and sanitary, full service and more if asked
Off site gourmet restaurants and bars with the beach and riverside a minute away, beds are very comfy

For the price ($200 including taxes) was not nearly worth it. I’d rather sleep in the car.

The OLD air conditioner was so loud we couldn’t sleep. The in room fridge was not working. The internet was barely working.
And The cleaning staff WERE NOT WEARING MASKS! She had it on her neck! Well that is not helpful!
The bathroom was tiny and needs to be deep cleaned!
I gave one for the front desk staff (But he didn’t know how to add this stay to our Wyndham rewards ️)
And one for somewhat ok basic breakfast and hot coffee

Friendly and knowledgeable staff, clean rooms, great breakfast. No iron box, not sure if you can get it at the front desk, air conditon was okay. Overall, it was worth the price.

Decent stay despite the fact that the fridge was missing the freezer cover and a massive block of ice, air conditioner was really old and super noisy and didn't work very well.

Plus there wasn't any ac in the bedroom and only the living room was air conditioned.

The problems started however when we left a hair straightener in our room. We called the hotel to ask and the staff confirmed that they had it, so we let them know that we would be picking it up on our way home in a few days.
Upon arrival we were told it wasn't here and that someone had removed it from the hotel and that we should come back later to get it. We said we couldn't as we are from a different province and traveling home.

Wife is extremely unhappy as she wanted it for the rest of our trip and we shouldn't have to worry about why a straightener was removed and possibly used by someone especially during covid.

The front desk guy was terrible to deal with although his rudeness might have possibly been due to a language barrier.

Overall a very bad experience. Mainly due to the way the front desk guy kept refusing to call his manager or help us in anyway. We will be escalating this.

! Dirty room- hairs all over (some curly black ones even), dirty sticky walls, and unwashed towels folded neatly for the next guests (us!). Disgusting and highly unrecommended.

Highly recommended stay in Sicamous. Clean rooms, free breakfast, and convenient location. The hotel is right next to a nice restaurant and liquor store. All boat rentals and beach are a 5 mins walk away. The lake is right next to the hotel. Hassle free check in and affordable prices. Every room has an air conditioner as well.

In the process of moving here from salmon arm and thought id spend a few nights here but not sure anymore i had to call front desk 3 times last night to deal with neighboring drunks and loudness throughtout the night and into the morning. Eventually had to go outside in a snowstorm in my boxers to deal with it myself at 2am. I thought super8's were supposed to be half decent

I was just passing through and almost didn't wake up in time to leave on schedule! The bed was so comfortable and the room was surprisingly quiet even though there's a train in Sicamous. Breakfast was laid out and ready to get for when leaving and overall was a very pleasant experience for a quick overnight.

Really amazing experience, very comfortable stay and both the managers were very impressive.
It really enhanced my entire trip.

Always a great place to stay. Friendly and helpful staff and the rooms are neat and have enough supplies. Breakfast was continental with fresh food.

I visited this hotel once and I was very fascinated with it's location, environment very close to beach and marina moreover front desk staff was very friendly and helping all in one I will say it’s my memorable trip

The staff here is always ready to assist and they are very compassionate. I love the service offered by them and would love to visit Super 8 again.

The staff is super nice and professional. The stay was comfortable, we had no problems with anything. The place is clean as well. Would recommend this to anyone heading down that way. The surrounding area is also worth the view.

The beds were decent and the area was quiet and close to the beach. The rooms were NOT clean. Hairs all over the bathroom, someone's used soap left in the corner of the shower, stained bathroom door and the floors were absolutely filthy. I ended up using 2 bath towels to clean the floor myself, and they were still quite dirty. I wiped the counters down with lysol wipes and they were filthy. Will not be staying here again.

The person working the front desk was pleasant and friendly however the check in process was a little slow. That was the best part of our experience.

The room smelled musty with perfumed deodorizer on top. It was dirty, hair and dirt on the floor, sink not cleaned, old coffee drips on the counter, door handles and light switches with years of smudgy black build up.
I brought my own clraner and sanitizer and throughly wiped the room and all touch points.

Beds wre ok and pillows were small. Shower water pressure was ok, as some hotels give you no water pressure.

Self serve continental breakfast was still on. Not sure what the public health orders are in place here, but the small little breakfast room in the front desk area is business as usual.

Did not have high expectations for this price point but I did expect better cleanliness during these times especially with Covid-19 but this place is not taking any precautions.

The motel is exceptionally good with extremely caring and accommodating staff.the rooms are Very clean and reasonable price. I loved my stay. The staff is always ready to help!

Literally one of the best services i have ever received. The room was clean and tidy, food was amazing. Udaybir was really helpful and gave me a great deal.

The location and hotel were amazing, but the service was absolutely exemplary! The two sardar’s at the friend desk managed everything so efficiently-they were swift and quick on their feet -would definitely recommend this place!

I visited super 8 Sicamous with my family a few weeks ago. It is an amazing motel, very reasonable and neat and clean.staff is extremely polite, affectionate, accommodating and helpful. Perfect location and best motel:)

Would not recommend this hotel at all. Rooms were old and run down. Not even cleaned properly! There were hair all over the floor. Staff was wanting to keep my credit card for"security deposit". Which is very weird. I have never come across any hotel/motel that asked to keep my credit card overnight! Bad experience overall.but i guess that is what you get for CAD100 for a queen room.

Lobby didn't smell pleasant, one of my keycards didn't work. The room was clean with a mini fridge but no microwave.

Tried to make reservation using the call centre line and it was the worst experience. I explained my situation clearly several times and still had to ensure that the operator understood properly. In the end wasted almost half an hour in what should have been a 30 second call to confirm if can book.

We enjoyed every minute of our stay. Everything was spotless clean. Plenty of extra towels. Beautiful soaker tub in our room. All staff was extremely friendly & helpful. Delicious full breakfast available right up to the closing of the serving time. All fresh & hot with a great selection to choose from. Will most definitely make this our go to destination for future vacations.

One thing that i like in this hotel is fast and accurate service.i apperciate the hardwork of front desk guy.we reached 12 p.m at night.when i ring the bell.they came downstairs like superman.overall, hotel is clean and nice location also.

The Sicamous Super 8 is that it was cheap in every way. If all you want is a cheap place to lay your head and don't care about anything else then this might be a good place to stay. Best advice I can offer to anyone planning on staying there is to make arrangements with the day manager as the person on the night shift leaves a lot to be desired.

They tried to charge me a different rate for every night I was there. The room had a bad smell. The electric plugs were so loose, that what ever you plugged in, would just fall out of the socket.
Sink was out side of the bathroom.toilet was always running.

We chose this hotel as a one-night stopping point between Vancouver and Emerald Lake and it was an easy and cost-effective option for our needs. We were greeted by courteous front-desk service and an exceptionally clean room -

I was hard to find super 8 motel in sicamous.then i called someone at front desk.i still remember the name of person ajay.they explain very clearly and were very nice when check in.rooms are extremely clean and location is perfect.breakfast is amazing cereals, waffles, breads, yogurt.i will definately come next summer in this town.

Amazingly friendly service, able to answer any queries that came up, great amenities, clean, beautiful breakfast in the morning. We had our disabled mother with us so we hired the disability friendly room and wasn't disappointed at all!

We stayed in this hotel for 2 days.service was amazing! Staff is quick and friendly.rooms are extremely clean however, there is noise at the time of night which irritates me.we especially came from alberta to stay here.free continental breakfast and free wifi.our all group members liked the stay.i hope we will stay there in next summer also.

The super 8 Sicamous is a typical Best hotel in that the rooms are air conditioned, basic and comfortable. As with all super 8, breakfast is included in the reasonably priced rate.

Best Western Sicamous is truly the best! It's gorgeous there and they have everything you need for a comfortable stay, and an awesome breakfast included! Anyone needing a place to stay in the area, this is a #1 choice

We came with a large party (20), and were accommodated very well by the friendly and very busy manager, who saw well to all our needs. The rooms were very clean. Breakfast could be improved - more stock needed.

It's ok to stay over the night.but if you plan to stay for more nights, I would recommend to pay little bit more and stay at other places.
