Superbaba (Victoria)

For the love of god, do not order the crispy eggplant. It is 4 TINY strips of eggplant douced in batter for $5.50 (not including tax). Do yourself a favour and go buy your own massive eggplant at Walmart for 4 bucks and make your own. Highway robbery. Do better super baba.

They filled the wrap with too much salad you can't find the falafel. Cold and tasteless food

Falafel wraps are amazing. Fresh fillings and the falafel balls are crisp and delicious. Highly recommend.

Shawarma was extremely bland and pretty watery, extremely heavy on the veggies, not much in terms of meat. Freshly made pita was a nice touch though.

Service is nonexistent, self bussing so you get your own water and are expected to clean up and put your stuff away after. This in itself is fine, but feels strange when you get the infamous tablet swivel for a tip.

Strangely enough, the place is also really cold, maybe it was just that specific day though.

IMO - Al Barak has way better/flavorful/authentic shawarma but I think it's also a bit pricier and there's no seating.

We like the food and atmosphere. We got chicken bowl, wrap, and steak bowl. All food cooked well, and their sauces were good. We have only one concern that the portions were a little small. Maybe we are used to TX size portion.

They have exactly I what I want in a restaurant. Clean atmosphere, friendly staff. And a simple menu that is appealing no matter what you order. All the wraps I have tasted have been excellent. The only complaint is sometimes the cold ingredients inside cool the rest of the wrap down. But other than that, they have always satisfied!

This place is far from super. The steak bowl was probably the worst I’ve ever had. Horrible portions, how can you give 1/8 cup or rice and 5 pieces of dry, tough steak? Half the bowl was pickled onions and cucumbers…. Who wants that much pickled onions anyways? No one! Throw in some turnips for the love of food. The steak was tasteless other than the tahini and hummus which tasted store bought. All in all weak sauce.

Don't get me wrong. The food is just fantastic! But the service is kind of unorganized. On this one occasion, myself and 4 other people were standing in the pick up line and waiting for our orders for about 45 minutes each. Occasionally someone would check in to see if their order was ready. The staff would look around and say no it's not ready yet. To then find out their order was sitting on the counter by the till for the last 20 minutes. I stood there and observed all this happen to one person after another for quite some time while I was waiting for my order. After 45mins of standing I started getting uncomfortable so I came up and asked if my order was ready. I was told that it wasn't. And again later on I get called up to pick up an order that I have been watching sit on the counter for the last 20 minutes. Maybe they were just having a bad day or were short staffed.

Ah-freakin-mazing! So yummy, so fast, so beautiful! Tell all your friends, tell the whole bunch, I just had Superbaba for lunch!

First time in this place with my fam. Location is convenient. Staff are nice. Just disappointed with how the wrap/shawarma was wrapped and presented ️. Expectations were high because of the reviews online and the price. To be fair, it’s quite tasty, loved the sauce, just needs some consistency.

Have ordered both the beef bowl and chicken shawarma wrap, as well as side fries. Both main dishes decent, with the nod going to the beef bowl. Certainly fresh ingredients, well prepared. Flavour an little on the bland/mild side however, catering to Victoria tastes I suspect. Fries well done and fair quantity. Moderate portions for the money. Wouldn’t rush back.

Best Chicken Shawarma I've had in years! The chicken is charbroiled, juicy, and full of flavor. The garlic sauce (toum) is made just right and the wraps include perfectly crisp fries just like back home.
So good I had to go back and get a second wrap!

So so delicious. Great flavors. The bowls are the most beautiful meals you've ever seen.

As a cider lover. The fact that they've had a different cider every time I've been is so amazing.

Will be a new regular stop during the week.

Fresh, delicious food with super-fast and friendly service. Best falafel wrap in Victoria, and at $10 I think is a great value. The house-made pita takes it to next level and I love the option to make your wrap spicy.

I expected great falafel from what I had heard from friends, but big surprise for me were how awesome the fries were. Extra crispy and a good-sized serving for $4.50.

The chicken wrap and falafel bowl were both super delicious! Try the house hot sauce on the chicken wrap for a little extra flavour and heat. Everything was fresh and the flavours were well balanced. I will come back often!

Amazing wraps. You watch them freshly bake the pita bread while you wait. Also, the fries and pickles turnip in the wrap is very authentic, and awesome.

Delicious food. They offer wraps and bowls. My friend and I took both and felt satisfacted. Please, also try the pita chips, they are amazing! Kind place itself and staff!

My work ordered lunch from there and now I am hooked on the Falafel bowls, extremely delicious. I am crazy about the pickled turnips!

I have died and gone to felafel heaven. The felafel bowl is the best thing ever. It's so good, I haven't tried anything else yet because I can't not get the felafel bowl. Get it. Now.

I like that they're healthy but flavourful and that their baba ganouche is tasty without added dairy. Lots of yummy options

Fantastic wraps and the best falafel, fries, and hummus in the city! Service here is always fast, efficient, and friendly. Great for eating in (when not in a pandemic) but definitely holds up as takeout as well.

Superbaba is a great take on middle eastern food. My brother and I are both vegan and so finding a place with THE BEST FALAFELS EVER was a challenge we greatly accepted. Found them! Superbaba delivers on all areas. The food is amazing quality, well proportioned and very tasty.

Having lived in Beirut, Libya, Egypt, and the Persian Gulf, and having travelled to Turkey, this was a delightful and exciting authentic find for Victoria.
Can’t wait to try more.

Superbaba a victoria staple for Middle Eastern fusion cuisine. Healthy, colourful dishes served up quick and conveniently. Excellent COVID model allowing for take out and outdoor dining.

Delicious food, decent price and really great location. Parking is easier on weekends but also a short walk to most downtown things. Thank you!

Superbaba creates delicious, Mediterranean styled wraps and bowls! Their restaurant is perfectly equipped to provide an enjoyable dining in or take-out experience. I would strongly recommend Superbaba for your next lunch or dinner out.

Nice ambience and fair prices. Not the speediest service on my visit but I've heard it's usually pretty quick. Probably the best falafel in town.

Simply delicious, simple menu and easy to understand. The food is made with care, and reminds you of market food.in a great way! (It's a compliment!) It's my goto place in Victoria for a delicious chicken wrap!

P. S Get the turmeric cookie! Best cookie I've ever had, would die happy if it was part of my final meal! Beautiful and bright (radioactive) yellow, with a subtle turmeric flavor and buttery flavour. When I try the Apple pie baklava (soon) I will update my review to 6 stars! (Would if I could)

I like the ambience and food, but it would be good if they some more item, just giving one less star because they were not having tomato ketchup orany kind of dips with fries which is kind of strange for me

Original, tasty, nourishing, affordable. I am posting this review after just one time there, I definitely plan on going again. I had the Sabich bowl which looked as attractive as it was flavorful.

Food is good and quick. I was unsure after the first bite but after that I found myself really enjoying the meal. I have had the chicken and steak bowls. Both are great. Place gets busy in the evening so seating can be an issue.

Super healthy and fresh tasting lunches. Speedy and friendly service. Beer or cider available. Anyhow, I haven't found something not too like about Superbaba. It can get busy though, so avoid 12 if possible.

I have walked by so many times but I have now discovered Superbaba. I had a chicken bowl which came with all my favorite middle east treats. Excellent baba ganoush and a tabouli-like salad. So delicious. I'll be back soon.

Tried this unit when it first opened & me and my bruv were not stoked with the portions. We chirped this place all the time pretty much for a year anytime the place came up in convo. Anyways year later I tried it again and was very satisfied. Fulufull bowl 5/5

I ordered the falafel bowl and fried cauliflower for lunch and was very disappointed by the lack of flavour. The cauliflower wasn't fried enough, rice was overcooked and hummus tasted like rubber.

Nice restaurant with decent food options. We tried the chicken pita, the chicken bowl, and the falafel and we were notably satisfied after lunch. Service is nice and they are fast preparing your food. I would recommend to give this place a chance, it won't disappoint you!

This place is great! When I was there I had the chicken pita and it was absolutely delicious, my friend had the falafel which was equally as good! I was overly impressed with the fires, they were crispy and delicious even after taking them home. They make the pitas bread fresh in house and it's great. The place is clean and well laid out, I will be going back to try more of the menu for sure! Also the mint lemonade is worth the visit alone!

This is a lovely place. The food is really delicious, with great vegan options. Easy to get takeaway (plus the containers are good to reuse) and also nice to stay and enjoy the atmosphere. Efficient ordering system. I look forward to coming back soon!

Good quality medeterinian food on the island. Their garlic sauce and hot sauce needs improvement. Can't say it is authentic lebanese.

Awesome food, the portions were very good for the price! The staff were friendly and they had some good beers on tap. I would for sure come here on a regular basis if I lived in Vic!

This place is seriously good. If you're after a not too pricey yet filling meal, Superbaba shpuld be your go to. One word - falafel

Mmm great food. Healthy, not health-centred food but definitely doesn’t leave you feeling guilty. I could eat here every day! I definitely recommend trying the Sabich salad, it’s a great dish. Actually, the salad + grain bowl is best. Also the chicken shawarma is well worth it, if you want to have a wrap that is what I suggest for you. They also sell beer by the can so that’s nice. I can’t get enough of this place. I suppose the only complaint is that they aren’t open on Sundays (at least they weren’t this Sunday, when I wanted to go). All in all, one of Victoria’s best and most reliable restaurants.

The atmosphere is great too, at first t feels like you’re in a space that should be a retail store or something different. But it’s actually really nice. They do not offer table service. You get a number on a stand when you pay, then they call you up. Get your own water too. I like it, I’d rather serve myself and not worry about tipping (most nights).

Lastly - they have interesting specials available. I have only had a couple but the descriptions are always good. Give it a try! I am sure you will be happy that you followed my advice.

Seriously yummy falafel bowl. Can't speak to the rest of the menu, but that was great, and also GF. I was advised that it's not a celiac safe kitchen, though.

My favorite falafel in town. Amazing toppings, fantastic house made pita, Israeli style. Hits all my nostalgia buttons from growing up in a deeply Jewish community, but still brings some modern flair to keep it interesting and delicious.

Great Mediterranean eats! Try the chicken sandwich with a side of fryies or if you are feeling like something fresh and healthy the falafel bowl on grains or salad is amazing.

Huge delay in getting my food. And I feel for what u are getting it's over priced. It's not the best food I've had in this city. Better options in the same area and not such a wait.
