Surestay Hotel by Best Western Castlegar

The hotel is manage by Best Western, we have room with kitchenary but on winter is very quiet, reasobnable TV size, kitchen utensil, and The breakfast is yummy. But 2 Indian ladies in the front office should be friendlier as they are working in hospitality business. Considering we were long staying guest. Welcoming and friendly staff.
Clean room. Traveling with our dog so it was great to have a room with direct access to outdoors and our vehicle.

We spent the night passing through the area. The rooms were clean and spacious. There was dining near by.

Neat Hotel in Castlegar with all you will need for a comfortable stay, and it's right by a gas station, grocery store and any other essentials one would need.

Had a great night's sleep. Very quiet considering it is on the highway. Wish they had some dedicated motorcycle parking spots with cameras and covered. All in all a great stay.

Great mattresses, excellent high thread count blankets. One of the best rests. Good A/C. Great easy ample parking for trucks. Complimentary breakfast with hard boiled eggs, waffle maker, yogurt, bagles, muffins, cereal etc. Excellent friendly front end desk clerks.

Checked into the hotel on July 12,2022, the staff service is very good. The soundproofing of the room was very poor, the neighbors said we were talking loudly and told my children not to make any noise. This is a motel, not a star hotel. The room is small and there is no dining table and chairs in the room. The room is newly renovated and very clean. Overall quite satisfied

The rooms were very nice, very friendly staff, and a decent breakfast in the morning! Hope to stay there again if I find myself in that area!

This hotel was a complete disappointment. The room that we stayed in smelled like urine, the Volume on the TV didn’t work, the fridge didn’t cool, there was no plug to have a bath and the bath/shower mixer wasn’t diverting properly causing a low pressure shower.

The hallway also had a terrible smell and the staircase carpet leading from the lobby to the second floor did not get vacuumed during our entire stay and was filthy dirty.

The breakfast was a huge disappointment. The mugs, plates, bowls and cutlery were extremely dirty and you had to search through them all to find a clean one. The bread was stale and the entire breakfast area was not kept clean. We only had breakfast the first day and decided to eat breakfast out for the remaining days.

We decided to forfeit our last night and leave early. Terrible hotel and service, will definitely not return.

The room smelled like urine & dog.the floors were so dirty I didn’t take off my shoes. Coffee stains on cupboard.we were on main floor by the office and it was like a herd of elephants were above us. I could hear the guy above us having a pee.
After I very long day of driving…. I got no sleep

We enjoyed our stay at this newly renovated hotel - the suite was nicely decorated - the bed was very comfy with nice linens. The bathroom had a lighted mirror which was great and the room was super clean. Friendly staff and breakfast included made our stay complete. Castlegar has a really nice sculpture walk which we also really enjoyed.

This place is anything but honest! They charge you for a stay that was not completed. In July 14th I booked by Hotels.com a pet friendly room, for me and family. Driving to there, I received a message to call the hotel. I was told on the phone, there was not anymore pet friendly rooms. The person on the phone was not professional at all, what stressed me a lot. I asked to talk to the manager, what I never received call back. Now Expedia and this hotel are pushing one to another that is the other to refund the money charged. Almost a month later and no one refunds me what it's not my fault.

Never stayed there as the front desk clerk canceled our confirmed reservation that we made online stating that we had a pet. She said we should have phoned and that our reservation would be cancelled because they had no more pet rooms available

I had a great stay of 5 nights but the wifi was some of the slowest/poorest connection I’ve seen

Newly updated rooms, clean, and friendly service. Very poor sound-proofing in the rooms though. Request to be on the back side away from the highway!

Nice room, people at desk were nice. Stayed for 5 nights, no broom in the room so I could sweep the floor from all the fine sand you drag in from the parking lot. I guess you just have to ask!

The staff and management was lovely to deal with. Especially the manager who handled all our requests very well and was very helpful throughout the stay. Keep up the good work management.

This is a great place to stay. The staff is courteous and excellent especially the hotel manager Gitansh is very helpful. The location is perfect and I loved the place very much.
