First time to walk this park, a really lovely path through trees and then a really long, straight stretch back to the parking lot. Might do it the other way around next time. 1.5 hrs to walk 3.9 km, but I think there was a path in the middle I could have taken to make the loop smaller.

Very nice setup, washrooms and water available. But #cityofsurrey need to clean up this park.

Beautiful trails easy no hills. Gorgeous park and lots of parking. Outhouses are well maintained and there are long party sized covered picnic benched. That's right covered! Beautiful hideaway

Beautiful and well maintained trails to go for a walk. Flat terrain so good for everyone. Every dog I've met along the way is super friendly and happy. Places to stop to enjoy the river.

I'm happy not many people are aware how great this park is because the fact that it's not busy is a huge plus. Quality park with lots of space to host BBQ/ picnics. Great walking areas and seated areas as well.

Good location, nice park with picnic benches, picnic tables and toilet. But beware. The trails are full of mosquitos. Alway apply the spray before you go to river bank or any trail. Parsons trail is beautiful but had so many brutal mosquitoes that I had to come back. They will bite you even if you are moving, running or dancing. Also be careful as the trails are often flooded very fast if river water level increases

The park is a nice place to walk and reflect. There are a few large picnic areas for groups which are beautiful. The mosquitoes are relentless and abundant.
28 July 2022 23:08
Very calm and quiet place but you can see the Fraser river but the view is restricted. And there's a lot of mosquitoes at dusk in hot weather. 1 minutes there = 5 bites.

Really incredible for a fast run after all the hills I normally run. #giveabreath5K let me meet my goal of 6min/km.

Took my kids there for the first time, but found nothing much to do there. We followed the trail into the woods but decided to come back out in 10 mins because of mosquitoes.

It’s a huge park. I see small families, senior groups, training athletes too. Great walking trails with lots to see. I’m not a fan of the dyke part of the park, there were moments where I felt kind of lost there. However as I continue around the perimeter of the water it was so much better. The gazebo picnic area are somewhat new with sand area for kids to play.

Lovely spot I never knew existed. Makes me want to explore the area more. I know it’s an odd thing to comment on, but they have The cleanest, least smelly pit toilet I have ever experienced.

Love taking my dog for walks here. My family has been on these trails since before they made it into a regional park. Park upkeep is great. Peaceful and beautiful views of the mountains and river.

Nice location for birders and we'll kept. Enjoyed the constant back and forths of the tiny ferry to Barnston Island.
22 July 2021 22:10
Beautiful place, I'd like to book the picnic area for a BBQ. Just need friends and of course covid to be over.
15 July 2021 14:31
Love this place. It has a nice trails that leads into a forest. Takes about an hour to do a complete hike. Also dog friendly and fairly clean. Has pinic areas too.

This park is one the most beautiful little hidden gems in the lower mainland! I highly recommend this park to anyone who loves nature!
15 June 2021 22:39
Great park with trails and picnic tables. Easy walking on well maintained trails and informational signs about the park.

Amazing park for a lot of activities.includes great views of Fraser River.great for a peaceful walk with loads of fresh air.

Nice park for the people in Surrey and neighbouring communities to relax, walk, bike with family. It’s kids friendly, my grandkids loves to explore the forest along the side of the river. Occasionally you’ll see wild ducks, rabbits and birds and it’s clean too. Thank you Surrey City.

Great place to go for a walk and see a few nice sites by yourself or with family. Pathway through the forest is not that spacious but people have been very respectful with keeping distance. Lots of open grass space with picnic tables scattered around. Small playground for kids is also available although it currently may have limited access.
12 May 2021 2:27
Nice place for a long walk without any climbing hills (all flat land here). Be careful as half of the large loop is FULL SUN in the summer so you need sunscreen.

Superb park, me thinks one of the very best parks in lower mainland BC.
The reason is that there is exceptional variety to see, and it is always compellingly beautiful all 4 seasons.
Free parking and clean washroom facilities here too.
Everyone i met at the park was very friendly too.

The park is so cool. It really calms down body and mind. Not too much rush and gathetings. People enjoy in their own way. Walking, doing yoga, enjoying food, running, exercising. Amazing for kids. Sand play for kids.wow experience.
04 April 2021 23:45
Well kept natural park with some play features for kids. Best part is the large (covered) picnic areas, forest path, signage and all the amazing restoration work the city is doing to these wetland ecosystems. Thanks City of Surrey for investing in this!

Great place to walk your dog. Historical makers and information posts help to provide the areas historical past.

I enjoyed my walk at tynehead park but the whole time i was being chased by a strange old man he kept inviting me inside his porta potty, but i refused, i had to be sure to only walk in a straight line.after i got tired and passed out i woke up in the parking lot with a carton of chocolate milk.

New park with nice picnic facilities. Trail is Okay, not many big trees, but you get river and north mountain views.
28 February 2020 20:24
The walk along the water is really nice. Coming back through the center of the park is not as great. Parking, and picnic areas are really nice.
08 February 2020 20:03
Deceptively small path to walk on, nice enough but there are definitely better parks around Surrey. The family area by the parking lot looks great though
19 January 2020 23:12
Well maintained park on the shore of the Fraser River. There is ample parking, a water fountain (one for the dogs too) and multiple outhouses. I saw the most beautiful sunrise here and only a few other people were at the park, so it was nice and peaceful.
07 January 2020 14:34
Decent quality park but only downfall is the super busy lumber mill across from the entrance to the park. Lots of heavy truck traffic at park gate. And park hours are 7am -5pm daily
19 December 2019 4:15
Fun place to go for a walk, I'd recommend earlier or later hours of the day. While nice, the views we accented more by the setting sun.
01 November 2019 22:16
Great place for a family walk! Often have to wait for trains to pass to get in or out of the park.
27 October 2019 3:48
Great park for family outing with a lot of picnic benches and three shelters for and usually not crowded.
05 October 2019 21:26
We did a run as a group on a cloudy morning in start July 2019. The trails are cool, feels humid though. 2 loops doing about 12k. The 1 long stretch with gravel is a bit of monotonous. Paved would feel much better. The facility is good though, washroom is a big asset. Great location.
04 October 2019 4:57
Nice and quiet. Excellent view points of the Fraser River. Only downside is the train tracks you have to cross. You may need to wait for slow moving trains. Totally worth the wait.
19 September 2019 14:16
It's a newer park, and isn't as developed as other urban parks. If you think of it as a new park in the country, then you shouldn't be disappointed. Bikes are allowed on part of it, but not on the nice trail along the river, through the forest (it's very nice). Some of the trails are very long and boring for kids to walk, but if you bring bikes, that can help a lot. The park has water fountains and outhouses.

Great walking trail and easy for young kids. It's a very nice way to kill an Hr and grab some fresh air at the same time.
