Surrey Metro Taxi

Dispatch is terrible. They promise a taxi at a certain time and don’t book it, or they book the wrong locationtime. Not reliable if you have something important to do.

Good driving skills believe he wouldn't get out of the car to help with groceries in the trunk where can I see the trunk once we arrived enter destination

I encountered one of their drivers (G18) on my way home. He was incredibly discourteous, aggressive, and a dangerous driver. I was heading to downtown approaching the lion's gate bridge where the other two lanes merge on the farthest lane on the left and cars alternate; I was giving way to the car on my right so I could go right after him and this taxi driver with no manners was selfish enough to speed up in front of me, honk, and then cut me off. You would think they'd care about their passengers' safety.

Their website does not work so you can't even file a complaint as you can see from all the negative reviews they are getting about their terrible drivers. But I suppose companies with such an antiquated way of thinking doesn't care about making improvements about anything.

FYI for the genius Alex Chen who left 2 negative reviews. Taxis are commercial vehicles, with commercial license plates. This allows them to park in 'No parking areas' to load and unload customers.

Maybe educate yourself before going around and taking pictures of people trying to do their job.

I usually always use Surrey Metro/Guildford Taxi. The service was by far the best in Surrey! Not sure what happened with the drivers but service is mediocre at best. Let's give you an idea on 1 day using Metro.

1st taxi's backdoor broke and locked and we could not get my mobility scooter out. Not the driver's fault but maybe take care of your taxi better?

2nd taxi was ordered for a certain time and the taxi came 50 minutes late. I missed my appointment and had to pay money for missing it. Thanks for that by the way

3rd a regular taxi showed up when a handicap one was booked, the driver just left me there. When I called for another taxi I was met with rudeness from the dispatch.

If this is how you treat handicap people I will use elsewhere and hope for better service.

Sorry for a not so positive review but at one time you were good! Strive to get that back. Be proud of your business. UBER is fastly gaining popularity BUT they do not accommodate mobiity aids unless it folds up. SO SMARTEN UP

Normally taxi is available in the parking lot next to the the Newton bus loop. Might have to wait at the longest 10 mins for another taxi to appear without calling them.

Professional driver that parked at No Parking zone? Maybe educate your drivers? (I am sure this won’t be the first time and won’t be the last time) oh yeah and no hazard lights as well.

So this new review is after 2 years, guess what, still sucks. Parked at middle of the road, block the crosswalk. What kind of driver is this?

I asked for a 10: 15pm pick up but the taxi came at 10: 24pm and when I got inside the taxi, the meter is already at $4.10, I asked the driver twice to change it and he said that that's the start, I said it should be $3.50.
And there was a time that he was driving very slow, I don't know if he did it intentionally to make the fare more.
I'm very disappointed with the service of the vehicle #20.

Very reliable taxi almost anywhere in Lower Mainland.
Always on time and always gets the address of pick up easily.

I was driving down my road when I was cut off by one of their drivers not stopping at a stop sign and when I honked my horn at them i was given the finger. He then slammed on his breaks and one of his brake lights were out. It is part of a professional driver to inspect his car before driving and he obviously didn’t.

Dirty car, rude driver, reroute to Vancouver while going to YVR from Surrey and denying it. The driver didn't accept united airlines voucher, but over charged us. The meter was $67 and he charged me $80 dollars and told me to use the receipt to claim United airlines.i will never use this company.

I’ve recently started taking cabs with this company and they have always been very friendly and helpful.

Great service on the phone with the operator and in person with the driver. I usually take transit but had felt unwell on Thursday afternoon and called a cab that day thinking it would be a long wait, but I lucked out. I was very happy & satisfied with Surrey Metro Taxi! They provided quick and friendly service. All around a great & professional taxi company. Thanks, guys!

Just talk to a guy to book a ride to the airport. Rude and unhelpful. Didn't ask when would I like to have the taxi to come on what date, just said it will come. I tried to stop him and tell him the date and he question my understanding. I just ended the call as I don't want to deal with idiot like that. It's my first time using taxi and definately would not want to go with this company as it already left me a bad impression. I just booked with another taxi company, more expensive. It's ok as the service was friendly!

Garbage customer service. Left my "wallet" so called back within 1 minute of getting out of the cab explained it to the guy and then I called back after 35 minutes and they put me on hold and said the driver said nothing was left, and that I used a credit card and put my wallet back in my bag. So Explained to him it wasn't a visa and the wallet I was referring to, held my cards but more importantly held my medical supplies and it was more of a pouch or change purse. And he says yeah, he says it wasn't there and hangs up. Awful.

Late 25 min even with online booking the day before and calling 2 hours before pick up to confirm.
Being that late I had to change location to be dropped off and driver was going to old location and cost me 20 dollers for him not understanding the new addresses.
Do not online book they are unreliable and unwilling tocorrect mistakes and passing blame to other departments in there company.
If you have any important business I would book a Uber.

I am writing this review in order to express my gratitude for excellent taxi services and also to compliment the excellent professional work of driver Mr. Tesinder Pannu, Cab No. 53. He assisted me and my family a lot with our big suitcases and other bags. During the whole drive he was extremely polite, friendly, and very patient with loading and unloading our baggage. So, I would to compliment his work with high praises and great admiration for this excellent driving skills.

If you’re travelling far they usually ask for half the fair paid up front. I lost my wallet from taking this taxi service but got it back without issue:

Dispatch isn’t customer friendly and wait time was double wait was promised. Recommending using an app called TaxiCaller for better choices.

Caught a taxi from Surrey to YVR. I called and reserved because I needed a van due to luggage. I was quoted $80-100 on the phone. Pricing for an uber XL was similar so I booked the taxi to guarantee the large vehicle availability.

Total was $140. There was no traffic and it was a straight shot early morning ride. Next time I'll choose Uber to have a price locked in. Wayyyy over the quoted price.

Update March 7 - Ubered Home mid day for $60. Less than half the price of these ripoff prices

Took this cab from YVR to downtown Vancouver. It was terrifying. Ran stop signs, missed hitting vehicles by an inch. Outrageous driving for such a busy area

Just helped an old lady call for a taxi because she had no phone, your service refused to book without a call number. What do you have against poor old people who don't have phones? Not accessible at all.
