Sushi Day

My food was mixed with another person and they totally made me a new box and even added two pop drinks to make up for it. Really lovely people!

I picked up some Really delicious sushi from here today:) tuna combo, sushi day combo and tuna nigiri. All of it was so fresh! Had some miso soup and beef udon as well, and both were tasty too! Will definitely be back

I guess other reviewers are spoiled by cheap sushi everywhere they go. Sure it’s more expensive than others but there’s nothing else in the area…if you want cheaper sushi open another restaurant yourself and create competition!

Eat here all the time and it’s good quality, good service.

Me and my fiance have made this our spot, and we've been going consistently for over 7 years now. If you try anything, make sure it's the double crunch yam roll, or the popcorn shrimp roll. Definitely 12/10 experience, and will going back again soon.

Don’t waste your money! I got take out, and they didn’t give me ginger, wasabi, soy sauce, chopsticks, or napkins. On top of that they charged me for wild salmon, which is an up sell and not what I order. And, the food wasn’t good at all. Worst $50 I’ve ever spent on food!

The sushi was good but not great. I can't really say why. The price is a little on the high side but that is location related.

Everyone was very friendly as well and the food came out fairly quickly. I loved my appetizers and my assortment of sushi and sashimi.

We had an excellent time here today! The sashimi was very fresh and was some of the best tuna and salmon we have had! I enjoyed the coconut chicken curry which was delicious as well! The rainbow roll was super tasty! We are for sure coming back here again and I would give them 10 stars if Google would let me.highly recommend their food!

Food is great I don’t understand the negative reviews. If you don’t want to pay these prices go elsewhere. Don’t go here and say it’s expensive and give them a bad review.

I don’t know why there are negative reviews for this restaurant. I ordered the California combo, and the California rolls were delicious (I’m normally not even a fan of them). The salmon and tuna were tender, and the rice was tasty! Plus the server was so kind! I’d recommend hitting this place up.

This restaurant had many mixed reviews, but I decided to give them a try as we were close to it during dinner time. Located in the Park and Tilford strip mall where the Save On Foods is. They currently only do take out orders. I placed my order on the phone beforehand and only waited 20 minutes.

We got an order of prawn tempura, roll combo and sushi day combo. The roll combo came with a dynamite roll, California roll and spicy tuna roll. The sushi day combo came with a dynamite roll, alaskan roll and a California roll.

All in all, they have decent portion sizes. But the quality is very similar to other generic Vancouver sushi joints. That being said, their prices were slightly high given what they’re serving.

The sushi was done well. The tempura in the rolls were still crispy when we got home, and the fillings were generous. The prawn tempura was crunchy on the outside and the prawn still retained a good bite.

Overall, I was skeptical beforehand, but it turned out alright. The restaurant itself was a bit small, but had some decor. One thing I did notice when I went in, was the floor being a bit greasy.

I loved the place. We went for dinner with my husband for his birthday. It was just the two of us there. They were super nice and kind to us. The food was delicious! And we got to take some home! The tea was also delicious! Didn't check the wifi this time.

I don't understand some of the negative reviews. Authentic Japanese restaurant using quality ingredients. Salmon tasted extremely fresh. The best salmon rolls I have ever tried. Ordered two rolls and they were ready within a two minutes. Very friendly staff/owner.

I guess some people can't taste quality and just want quantity for cheap? This place has amazing sushi for a very good price nontheless. $10 for two rolls.

I ordered off their menu on Uber and I was lead on to think that I was getting 10 pieces of sashimi for 12.95, thought it was a awesome deal and got 3 orders of it. My total çame up to $52 bucks total. This was suppose to be a rare treat since I'm a broke student and adore sashimi. What happened was I paid half a hundred bucks for 15 pieces instead of 30.
They didn't do anything and told me to take it up with Uber then they fixed the menu.
I still have screen caps of when the Uber menu stated I was getting 10 pieces per order. Didn't know it was okay to mislead a customer to pay double for only half their meal. Thanks

Wanted to go here because we saw it was family owned and less than a kilometre away, ordered 2 combos & was told 25 minutes. Came back after 30, showed him our receipt and he looked bewildered, 90% sure they forgot our order. Told us to wait another 10 and he’d put it outside on the table for us. Came back 15 minutes later and found it inside on a table.
The sushi wasn’t horrible, also wasn’t great. It had clearly been rushed and loosely packed, half of it fell apart so the soy sauce quickly became a no go.
But I did really like that they used recyclable containers!

Best sushi I've had in a long time. Went back a second time while on vacation in the area because it was so tasty.

Not great value for the price, ended up spending 16 bucks for 6 ok pieces and no napkins or anything in the bag. Did not realize until I was already at work. Had to use a letter to wipe my face and hands. Wish I had read the reviews stating its over priced but I have now learned for myself. Have had better sushi for a better price nearby. Sushi Station on Lonsdale is AMAZING compared to this place

This place plays quiet jazzy music, is warmly inviting, and both food and people are enjoyable. Thank you Sushi Day.

Good Sushi but please give enough wasabi when packing it up for pick up otherwise I wont be back. We also ordered chicken Teriyaki bowl so again two sets of chopsticks not one or we wont be back after one more chance.

Extremely under staffed, waited forever, that ONE waitress was nice but not working efficiently at all. It's one of those California roll style Sushi place but with higher prices. Definitely won't come again.

First time in my life I spit out a piece of sushi. Made the roll with an over-ripe/gone bad avocado. Couldn't finish the order = (

I've been reading sushi day every day for lunch for the past two weeks. I find the salmon and tuna to be delicious and the rice is almost always great as well.
I recommend the salmon in particular, as it's reasonable priced and very fresh.

The sushi and tempura is good. Low rating because of the price for the value you get. $15 for 3 rolls for less then 1 oz worth salmon is ridiculous by any sushi restaurant. Your money is better spent else where

Long waiting time, no ventilation inside, so I smelled like a tempura and special rolls I had was not tasty at all.

I thought the sushi was good. I do think the food here is a bit over priced, but I will definitely be coming again when I’m in the area for a quick snack. The customer service could have been better but overall I was happy with my experience and it did not take long to get my food which was a plus.

I have alot of respect for the owner, he's a good man with a good business and it shows. The food is fantastic and the tea will forever be my favorite. It is a bit pricey but for the presentation and the flavor I don't complain. Will always be my favorite spot.

Giving this place one star is generous. Gyoza miso soup Cali roll 4 piece prawn tempura. 12 min for miso, another 15 min for the roll. Ten more for the tempura undercooked and never got the gyoza. 47 minutes. I'm a chef, this is unacceptable. If you can't serve people within 30 their entire meal, maybe this isn't the best choice of business. Retail would be better suited for this family

Great quick bites sushi my fave place to go when rushing around the north shore its a shared parking lot with other businesses in the complex but never had a problem finding a spot very seldom I've had to walk a great distance
