Sushi Taku

Tried this place and ordered take out. Sushi was alright. The interior of the restaurant seems small so definitely take the space into consideration if you have a big party or have kids. Nice and friendly service with a good selection of sushi.

Great little sushi place by Joyce. Ordered a few of their platters for a staff holiday party and the staff loved it. Great variety and very well priced. Around $45 for a platter. Will definitely come back to order platters for future parties. The staff were very sweet and helpful.

First time I visit, Linda take care of me. All the food amazing and very fresh. Very lovely staff over all 5 star. I highly recommend this place everybody.

Just a few minutes ago I came in with my 5yr old and baby to try and have a quick bite. We walked all the way from Kingsway to try this out. We walked in at 8: 21pm and asked for a table to dine in. They refused and said their last call for dine in was 8: 20pm. By the time we left if was 8: 22pm. We were going to try this place out but with this service I can only imagine everything else would be terrible. IF i could give them a zero star rating I would. ALSO, I tried to tell them that we will eat very fast but they refused to serve us. My son needed a table to quickly eat but they only wanted us to buy for takeout.

Update: after the bad service received from this place we walked into FreshSlice a block away and got way better service. We were greeted with a friendly smile and they gave my son 2 balloons and a free reusable water cup.

Didn't get a picture because I was too excited to eat. Hole in the wall type place with only 4 tables inside, but super friendly staff, great food, and menu is still very reasonably priced. Will definitely be back.

Good sushi but the worst service, they always had an excuse for you not to dine in, one time we arrived at 8: 45 pm and the told us that they had already closed, that they last order was at 8: 30, then other day we arrived at 8: 25 and they told ud they were not longer receiving orders. Then last week we went at 1: 30 pm and the tables were full and we decided to wait, then at 2 they told us that we couldn't dine in because all of them were going to their break at 2: 30 pm. We really like their sushi but with that service I don't think we will come back

Love finding a local eatery that is tasty, friendly, and good value. There are only four tables, we called and they said we should be ok in 20 mins and they had one ready for us. The service was super attentive and warm. We had miso, a sashimi combo, the mango special roll and a mix of maki. The sushi was fresh. Fish was soft and rice was perfect. Room was air conditioned which was nice on such a hot evening. Parking can be challenging but otherwise a near perfect meal.

Came here for lunch with a friend, tried the gyoza and lunch sushi special. Good value for the quantity, loved the gyoza too although my friend would have liked some more garlic flavor in the gyoza.

The vegetarian sushi (avocado, veg) was good, and I would come back here again, especially for the lunch special. We also got complementary tea which was nice, and were greeted warmly by the server.

Cute little Sushi Taku restaurant, and the food i ordered black swan sushi, soooo good! The service fast and excellent.

Eating the chirashi right now, and had to pause to tell everyone how good it is. The fish is so fresh. Gonna get back to it now, bye.

If you’re looking for an affordable, friendly and delicious place to have sushi then Sushi Taku is seriously my top pick. The staff give off a very family run business that just love what they’re doing.

I got just simple rice and avocado rolls, but they served me right before close which was really nice. And the food was tasty
