Sushi Umibe

This sushi restaurant is awesome! My family always goes there and the food is delicious! It's at an affordable price too! Their staff is always nice to us and greets us nicely!

I've had alot of sushi from alot of diffrent places and I always think back this umibe. Seriously some of the best in bc I'd say!

Wonderful experience! Celebrated our fathers 75th birthday and they welcomed our party of 10. We extended our stay for a total of 2 1/2 hours and they gladly welcomed us! I got their salmon poke bowl and it is amazing! Will definitely stop by when I'm in the are next! Food prices are very competitive:)

Used to come here all the time, it’s been some time since I’ve been here last and the food and pricing hasn’t changed at all! Extremely well priced, big portions and service is friendly and fast. One of, if not the best sushi place in Maple Ridge.

This is my first time ordering from Umibe, and have heard positive comments about the food etc.

I ordered 2 rolls, and let me tell you without a word of a lie, they were massive actually monstrous. The pricing here is definitely cheaper then the rest of maple Ridge and would say it's adequately fair. This will definitely be my new go to restaurant. Keep up the good work.

As a person who works in the sushi industry, I want to let many people know what a good sushi restaurant Umibe Sushi is.
First, the fish size is thicker, bigger and fresher than other stores.
Second price? You guys are a fool if you haven't been to this restaurant at this time of all the rising prices.
The third mood? Do you want to pay a higher price for the same fish in a restaurant with an expensive interior?
I dare say that this place has an old-fashioned atmosphere, but the food is superior to any other expensive interior restaurant.
I can tell from my long experience in the sushi industry.
Umibe is the best restaurant in the Tri-City and Fraser Valley regions. If you live up there, try it!

I ordered 3 rolls for pickup. I made a note for extra wasabi and I confirmed with the lady that she did put extra wasabi upon pickup. However, this is how much I got for 3 rolls. This was my second time there, the sushi was good for the first time but the ramen was not. This time the sushi rice was hard, didn’t taste fresh. Won’t come back again.

So there we were 7: 30 Friday night, really in the mood for Japanese food, (knowing this was late for Maple Ridge)
I checked FB looking for some hidden gem, again knowing this was late for our fun city, read good things about Sushi Umibe, decided to give it a try, boy were we glad we did!
Chicken teriyaki was amazing- crispy pieces of chicken with the perfect amount of sauce, not over loaded and drowning in it.
The 2 rolls we tried were new to us but again did not disappoint:
Umibe Roll said it was spicy but it wasn't too much, just the right amount of heat in the spicy mayo
Prosciutto Roll- perfect balance of salty and sweet with mango sauce topped with a caper on each piece.

The service was amazing! As soon as we walked in the door, we had a warm welcome from I'm guessing the owner. The young lady serving us was constantly on the ready, always keeping an eye on our tea level, which, by the way, has a nice nutty flavour.
The food was fast, fresh, hot and oh so tasty! This will be our new go to.

Food is good, and the price is reasonable. But the waitress and waiter are obviously not happy, and are impatient to customers. We walked in about 2: 30, and felt not being welcomed, althought they're not busy. (today's business hour 11: 30-21: 00) We felt uncomfortable, but still kept being polite to waiter. I have came this restaurant for 5 times, but this kind of bad attitude will stop me to have a meal again.

They have excellent Sushi and love their Chicken Teriyaki rice bowl, my fav. Prices are very reasonable and the service is fast and friendly. They have booths which have a privacy screen and tables to sit at. Highly recommended.

Wow umibe has the new high bar for me in sushi. Very prompt service, polite. And wow the food wide variety of flavors, beautiful presentation, fresh. Looking forward to returning with family. Very good value for the money!

We love the little boxes you sit in for privacy and over all experience. Little cushions too.

Food is always excellent here, service good and usually pretty quick serving your order. Been going for 15 years now!

This has been an original sushi place for a very very long time. Boycotted trough Covid like many other places but recently decided to eat there again. Service is erratic but today we unlocked a newcomer and she was fantastic, hope she stays a while…

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE
This place ruined my life. I ate here once and now I cant eat sushi anywhere else. Not only do I have limited selection of sushi restaurants but I now live in constant fear of this place one day closing (all good things end one day.) I also suffer from serious depression when they're closed for holidays and whatnot. If you're brave enough, and have about 20 bucks to spend per person, this place offers some seriously fresh sushi and friendliest service I've seen in a while. Price is more than reasonable, presentation and atmosphere everything is just right.

Favourite place in town for consistent good quality sushi. Sashimi is always fresh and to go orders are always on time!

Love it. We usually order take out - teriyaki dinner boxes with an umibe roll and it is sooooo good everytime! Dinner boxes come with dynamite roll instead of a California roll which is a nice change. I've ordered from here probably 20 times now.

Great food with reasonable price. Big servings. Excellent customer service. The lady really takes care of the customers. Fast in services. We went there lunch time and dinner. But I prefer to go lunch time because of the Deluxe Bento box.
