I come here all the time. Some of the best sushi I've had, and at great prices. Also, their staff are very friendly and the service is really fast. Really have a good time every time.

Sushimoto was excellent! I love the cute decor and ambiance. From the friendly service to the superb sashimi quality, I left happy and satisfied! They even gave us complimentary salmon kama and made us kimbap even when it wasn’t on the menu! Everything was absolutely delicious! I’ll definitely be back! Thank you!

I was extremely pleased with my sushi here today. We came as a group of 6 and received complimentary cooked salmon for our table! We got edamame and miso soup to start which were very tasty. My rolls were a spicy scallop roll and jalapeño salmon roll. Both were delicious! My whole meal came up to $20, and I was so satisfied. I will definitely come again!

Quality was good enough. Expected more flavour from the Moto signature roll and BC roll. I could barely feel any heat or flavour from the spicy tuna roll as well, it’s not saucy so hard to tell how they make it spicy.
Service was good, accurate order taking, fast.
Cleanliness was good, a couple fruit flies hanging around, but I understand it’s hard to control them %100.

I hope to see some menu changes as the quality was kind of the only let down. I chose to try this restaurant based on other reviews.

The service was great, I really enjoyed the sushi. They had a large selection of dishes on the menu and everyone in our group loved their food!

If possible i will give 0 start for service 0/0.first when i step in this restaurant no one try to scan my vaccine code its not a pleasure way to start my dine in experience.secondly the girl who helped us order food was so "busy " talking to each other.maybe they feel like small talk to each other is way more important to serve client.food is so so average sushi level. If i know before head i will never pick up this sushi store as my dine in. Not good experience and never go back again. 0/0 if possiblezhe dian yuan sha bi quan wan bie lai

Great place for creative sushi.
High quality seafood they use here and service is friendly.
We picked our sushi rolls randomly and they all turned out amazing. Prices are also very reasonable.

Sushi was excellent. All the different types we have were very good. Staff was also very friendly. Some unique decorations with a collection of figurines.

I had the WORST experience with their customer service. The sign on the black board outside stated that they were open so I went in to order and the lady literally escorted me out of the store stating that they were not open yet. I simply asked what time they open and she stated they open at 12pm. When I looked at my watch, it was 11: 58am. I was ordering for takeout so they could have just taken my order and started making it once they were open IN TWO MUINUTES. I cannot believe that she would do that. They were opening in 2 minutes and she literally made me leave the store. HORRIBLE SERVICE. When I went back in 2 minutes later, the other server took my order.

This is my favorite sushi place in the lower mainland. To be quite honest, this is the best sushi place I've been to and I come here regularly. I absolutely love the atmosphere, the kindness of the staff, and the food (especially the ocean roll). I strongly recommend to come by and give this place a try!

Great little place for sushi. Great service, fast and friendly. Have eaten here several times and never dissatisfied. Sushi is always tasty and fresh and also their sashimi. Very clean and priced right. Extensive menu.

The food, service, and hygiene was amazing here! The salmon sashimi was so fresh and delicious, and the staff were very friendly and even gave us some cooked salmon on the house! It was such a great surprise for my friends and I. There were also hand sanitizer bottles at each table and menus could be scanned! We loved our experience here and would definitely come again!:)

The food is always great! My favourite is the Holdom roll or the Lunch Special Chirashi Don! Their sashimi is always fresh and service is wonderful!

Consistently great quality sushi, i have come here for a couple of years, their location right outside Holdom station makes them convenient.
I love their combos, sashimi, overall a great and very authentic sushi place.

The best place on earth! There chicken taryaki rolls are to die for! They're crunchy with an amazing taste that makes you want more! I have them a good tip for there amazing excellent service

Was very disappointed with the service I came in for takeout and was quoted 20 minutes, then 2 large parties came in to order massive takeout orders for their office, they prepared their food before my simple lunch Bowl and it took 45 minutes to get my food to go. I was late coming back from lunch because of this and wasn’t able to eat the food

This is THE BEST sushi I’ve had so far in the lower mainland. Seriously! Nothing compares. Even though I live in Surrey I will go out of my way to come here. The chicken rolls are truly the best! If you’re gunna try anything on the menu here try the chicken rolls you won’t regret it. Also really good service:)

The food is ok, nothing special. Slightly over priced. The inside of the restaurant is lit rather poorly and is dingy. I would go as far to say it’s rather unclean. Also, the lady who served us was nice. However, the female who provided the debit machine was rude. She seemed to overtly display displeasure with the tip provided. A %15 tip for one tray of mediocre sushi is adequate in my opinion. Do yourself a favour and go somewhere else.

I am shocked that I have been living in the Brentwood area for a year now, and it was only recently that I tried this place. The food quality is top notch and very fresh. I ordered the chirashi bowl and was impressed with the small details. Lemon slices, furikake on the rice, etc. It was a good price for the amount of food that you get as well! I am definitely going back here!

This is the simplest way I can put it: sushimoto's Oshizushi is the best value for sushi in Vancouver and it's not close!

Sushi tasted alright, very basic and a bit too small. Service barely there, we had to ask the sushi chef for everything (take order, soy sauce, water, bill) cause the servers kept disappearing.

Good quality at reasonable prices. Nice selection of "fancy" rolls; I like how they don't drown then in a mayonnaise sauce (as other sushi joints sometimes do). Restaurant is on the smaller side with only a few tables that can seat 6, so be aware of that if coming in a larger group during peak times! Cool atmosphere, and definitely worth checking out if you're in the area.

Their specialty rolls are really tasty. Their service is so cute and very friendly. They have some dishes that I wouldn't be able to get at other places like agedashi Tofu with Tako Wasabi on top which was really good.
Definitely give this place a try if you're n the north Burnaby area!

Interesting assortment of sushi, rolls, and robata with your typical Korean twist. A fair selection of Korean alcohol to boot.

Protip: If you park in the parkade past 7pm you can't get back into the parkade as the gate comes down. You can only access it through the back door of the restaurant via service corridor.

My first time here I had dinner and wasn’t that impressed.but today I went back for lunch and ordered different items and wow the food was great! I ordered all the aburi sushi which was melt in your mouth good. Will be coming back again just for aburi.

I like nigiri sushi in here. Everytime I've visited here, I spent more money I expected because it's really nice. You can enjoy flavor of raw fish with their nigiri sushi

Ate here for the first time and got food poisoning 2 hours later with running black stool and violent vomiting, which included chunks of the raw sashimi I ate there. The worst part is that the sushi wasn’t even very good. It was covered in a slimy white film and didn’t smell right. When I brought this up to the waitress, she looked at me with this scrunched up face, like I’d never eaten sushi before. Needless to say, I’ll never go back.

Tried to make reservations 1 hour before arrival and the waitress curtly says reservations must be made 24 hours ahead of time. When we arrived, we waited 10 minutes for the waitress to bring any water. We had to get our own menus when we realized after 10 minutes that she wasn’t going to bring us any because all the walk-in customers and pickup orders get served first. Service was rude and you felt like such a burden asking for anything. You felt like they were doing is such a huge favour by letting us eat there. No refills on water. When she brought the cheque she makes sure to say that she forgot to mention they charge 18% gratuity for parties of 8 or more and that she wouldn’t charge us the gratuity because she forgot to tell us this. How nice of her considering the service was so terrible that she didn’t even deserve a tip at all. The food was like all Korean made Japanese food-mediocre.

This place is always busy because their food is really good. I love their aburi sushi and special sushi rolls and takoyaki and so much more! Service can be a bit slow but still acceptable. We live nearby so we usually get takeout to avoid the wait. Will return for sure!

Menu has gone down hill not to mention the food quality is laughable! They don't follow food safety standards with sashimi cause it bloody warm! I don't care if it's busy, run a restaurant like you mean it or dare to get shut down! Listen to what costumers say instead of disagree! Never coming back!

Sushimoto is one of the sushi places that lacks consistency. Each dish also deserves to be rated on its own. The oshizushi was quite good the first time we had it some two years ago but was disappointing the last two times we've had it. The rice is harder than it should and the torched salmon and sauce were just bland. The bbq tuna recommended by our server was far from what we had expected, but the chirashi don for $16 was as good as ever with good variety of seafood.

One of the best sushi places in all of Vancouver. It might not be quite at the Level of Blue Water Cafe, but it is the best within its class.

The sushi is fresh and well prepared. The sushi chefs at Sushimoto has been there for 8+ years and they know what they are doing.

The decor is very good for not being fine dinning.

Servers are also very good.

Nice, cozy sushi place. Food was also good. One thing they can improve on is, add some varieties in terms of food.

I've been here three times. I enjoyed the first two, they have good lunch specials. However I ordered the deluxe chirashi don on my third visit, and the slices of fish were incredibly thin. I have sushi quite often and these were the thinnest slices I've ever encountered in metro Vancouver. Nothing deluxe about the selection of fish either, I felt the freshness wasn't the best either as some pieces tasted fishy. The service was decent though.

Simply wow! This is by far one of the best sashimi i had in a very long time. Very small place with limited seated places but OMG what a quality. You cannot believe how good this was at a price no one could ever believe. This place has to be discovered. We went there as a group and EVERYONE was of the same opinion: you are in Vancouver then you HAVE to get there no matter how. Simply the best!

I've been meaning to try this place for a while now! The fish and the rolls were flavourful. The nori had the right texture and the service was amazing! What a fun atmosphere. I'm going to go back!

We love to eat in this place every time we visit Vancouver and we are in the area. Great food, good service and very reasonable prices

Fantastic sushi place. I'd highly recommend any of their specialty rolls. Seating is limited though, so expect a bit of a wait during peak hours if you're not ordering take out

The quality of their dishes have been good so far. However, one time I ordered a Tekka don (tuna) and they gave me a Sake don (salmon). They did not even try to compensate me or offer me a discount. That’s not very “Japanese” of their customer service.
