I'm not a big fan of Japanese food or groceries but you can find some good stuff there.

A small Japanese konbini. Prices are a bit on the high side, and are more expensive than Konbiniya. Decent selection but won't find anything exclusive compared to other Japanese stores. Be wary of near expiry items sold at full prices; I saw items that are close to expiry.

Very friendly staff with large selection of a little bit of everything. They have some really nice looking Bento and onigiri and a nice selection of tea. I will definitely be back because they also have a section for frozen ramen and frozen chashu.

I always come here for GREAT JAPANESE food and drinks, delicious and high quality as always!

My go to when looking for Japanese seasoning or ingredients. Staff are all friendly. There are limited street parking nearby and the store is pretty small so you may need to wait outside for few minutes when the store is busy.

Got a bento from this place, not a lot of choices and they don’t heat it up for you. No napkins was given, only a pair of chopsticks. Had to heat it up back in my office, the pork chop was super dry and the rice was very soggy… will not go back for their bento.

A small store packed with lots of stuff you won't find in a typical supermarket. Given that they have alot of specialty items, you are paying specialty prices. Good place for what its worth.

It’s a very small store, but it’s packed full of hard to find ingredients. For those who have been searching for fresh yuzu, Suzuya carries them seasonally! Unfortunately, due to the rarity, they’re priced at about $10 each.

Small and tight Japanese market. They carry various stuff though. Snacks, instant ramen, furikage, sauce and miso etc, Little gem in Burnaby

Great tiny Japanese grocery store. They have authentic snacks, cookies, chocolates. Also have ready to go quick lunch or dinner boxes from the cooler too!

Really cool and authentic japanese convenience store. Not too busy usually and has a lot of snacks strait from japan at a fair price.staff are very helpful and friendly, they’ll help you translate the snacks for you if you don’t understand japanese.

Great little Japanese convenience store full of snacks and goodies from Japan. Price is standard customer service is good. Candies, chips, drinks, refrigerated goods, vegetables, rice etc.they have quite a bit of variety here for a small store. Recommend!

I was disappointed by how fee vendors there were. I also didn't appreciate how long we had to wait for takoyaki, it was 15 - 20 minutes and they were mediocre.

Typical Vancouver, people standing right in front of the stand, chatting with their friends, not letting others order from the booth. If you don't like crowds or dealing with people who have their eyes glued to their phone and don't watch where they're going, don't come here. Having them in the way just ruins the experience.

Small, hidden gem of a shop. Has lots of amazing products from Japan at great prices. Staff and friendly and helpful too!

Small grocery with what I assume are Japanese staples. I'm not Japanese. There are snacks, seasonings, vegetables and other stuff. Good place to go if you want Japanese ingredients.

Today was my 3rd visit since moving to the neighborhood a little under a year ago. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Great assortment of items can be purchased here, including ready made items like gyoza, onigiri, fried chicken, Bento boxes. They accept orders online which is excellent for me a non Japanese speaker/reader. I was able to get everything I needed to make my favorite dishes at home. I couldn't get most of these items, or not good quality versions at large chain grocery stores in the area. I have come by to grab quick items for lunch and will definitely be back.

Came here twice within a few days! A hidden gem with a lot of unique products and Asian snacks (as well as grocery and frozen items). Picked up some food from their fridge section, CakeYa's Cream Caramel, a hamburger steak bento box, hamburger steak curry, and corn croquettes. Everything was great and filling! Their 'bento cam' is a neat function as well to see if your favourite items are still available before you stop by.

The only downside is the market is small and narrow, so it's not ideal to be behind a customer inspecting everything! They have an extensive site with all the items though, so would recommend checking it out before browsing in-store! Will definitely be back to pick up more items!

They sell expired items mixing with other products. They put orange sticker for expired items but they never tell what is the orange sticker means. They deducted 30% off for that orange sticker items. But nobody want to buy old expired stuff!

Tightly packed but very well organized store.plenty of interesting items. I'm definitely going back with a list of stuff i want more of.

Can't say enough about this quintessential japanese store. It's like a tiny piece of Japan in Burnaby. Be it authentic snacks to drinks from Japan to many a Japanese ingredients you find them all here. And the staff just as courteous and friendly as Japanese are anywhere and everywhere.

What a gem this place is with a great selection of Japanese ingredients and I love their bento boxes, very reasonably priced.

Love the selection of Japanese snack and food here. They have bentos and a live feed of the bento fridge to see what is in stock. Picked up some croquettes abs other good stuff. I noticed that like in Japan, the onigiri is not refrigerated but I am to scared to eat out lol. I am sure it's fine, they are better when not cold but they do say to keep refrigerated right on them.

Love going right in the morning when the bento and onigiri are very fresh! Such a great selection of Japanese staple foods and snacks.

THEY SELL MAITAKE 舞茸 まいたけ or "hen-of-the-woods", absolutely delicious.

Otherwise, very cute small market. Some produce is available. If you need some special ingredients for making Japanese dishes in BC, you should head over if you are in the area.

I happened to grab a small lunch set of inari, karaage, and a yuzu soda and enjoyed it over by the fountain area. Very relaxing.

There are sakura 桜 cherry blossoms lining the nearby street!

Fun little store. Good selection of grocery (not much produce though) but things are a bit pricey. They have a small deli section.

Great little Japanese corner store with lots of imported stuff you don't normally see in the bigger stores. The lunch bento boxes are pretty good too.

A great selection of Japanese groceries that are hard to find, from frozen tuna, ramen, pickles and condiments, to boneless chicken thighs.

However, the service is absolutely awful. Most cashiers are cold and lack any basic courtesy. They know who they are; obviously fed up with the job a long time ago. A poor representation of Japanese service standards for sure.

For example, they rudely blame customers for trying to use their points card from shopping through out the year, when the card has expired for even one day. Of course customers want their hard earned discount. But the cashiers are so rude about the situation.

And cashiers still manually enter items, which is open to error. Without a scanning system in place, errors frequently occur and we've had to return to get money back from incorrectly charged items. It's very annoying, and unnecessary. Invest in a basic scanner.

I wish I could review higher, but the usual cashiers don't warrant it.

Thank goodness there is a place locally where I can buy Japanese goods. Fujiya is too far away most times. Excellent service here too!

A small, family-run grocery store specializing in authentic Japanese ingredients, as well as prepared and packaged foods. Highly recommended!
