Tacofino

Love tacofino so much. The food is very tasty here and although it’s on the expensive side for tacos I’d say it’s worth it every once in a while. I ordered over the phone last time and when I showed up they said they had misplaced my order so I had to reorder in the restaurant and wait an extra 30 minutes but the workers were all really nice and I got a discount and free dessert so I appreciated their customer service. I will be back.

The burritos are hearty and tasty. I love the fish, yam and steak tacos. It would be nice if they still offered Valentina hot sauce but it's not a huge deal.

Favorite lunch! I order online and pick up when I take my lunch! Always friendly and willing to make gluten free

Always the perfect quick meal! Flavour country! The venue is great for small groups (2-4) as there is bench seating and is usually busy. No reservations, but you can order via phone and pick up or eat in. The tacos are more like snacks; you'll want to buy two or three. The burritos are massive, one is a full meal. I love the tuna, steak and yam tacos.

Had a great experience at tacofino, great food and friendly staff. They even filled up our water bottle for us. The line up was a decent size when we got there but moved so quickly, very efficient staff.

Taco was good but the Gringa was so yumm and cheesy that I go there again and again just for the Gringa.

Damn good tacos. The fried chicken burrito is delicious and good if you want something so filling you don't have to eat again for days.

I came for a burrito the size of a swaddled newborn to remind me of all the delicious and similar sized foods I've eaten in the past although this burrito is much quieter

My steak burrito was awesome. More food than I needed, but I ate it all anyway. Tasted like it came from a clean kitchen.

Sometimes it's very good, sometimes very mediocre considering the high price and super long wait. Burritos in particular seem to suffer lower quality based on your luck of the draw.

I would strongly recommend this place to anyone interested in tacos. I got two tacos that were amazing and a friend got a massive burrito

The crispy chicken burrito is an amazing frankenstein of fried chicken and soft savory refried beans. Absolutely amazing.

First time having a burrito hereand it was delicious dare I say in my opinion better than the tacos I had last time.

I can't even read their name without getting hungry, the noodlebox of street tacos. Get the Yam and the Fish and wonder where flavour has been all your life.

It must just be the vegan burrito, because everyone else seems to really enjoy this place, but I don't the same excitement for it. It isn't that I don't enjoy it but I wouldn't choose it over the many other options downtown. The tempura is a great touch in a burrito but the supporting cast in the vegan burrito doesn't do much for me.

First time at the Victoria location and consistent with the Vancouver. FANTASTIC! Had a tuna and a steak and both were AMAZING!

Fun vibe! I got the steak taco and it was delicious, I also tried the crispy chicken taco; however, was not a fan of the sauce used. Super great service and friendly staff. It was great to try this after wanting to for so long!

If you're into cold tortillas, cold meat, and waiting 30 minutes for your food because the workers cooking your food are too busy watching videos and texting on their phones in the kitchen, then eat here.

Tried several of the taco options which can be pricey. Of them, the steak was my favorite and next time will just be ordering several steak tacos instead of a assortment.

For the most bang for your buck going with a burrito is likely the best option.

Where do I go to just set up like a direct withdrawal thing? Like I don't know, do I just bring them my whole paycheque or.just keep paying each time I go? Such good food

The taco I bought was actually the best tasting taco I've had in a long long time. I was surprised. I would recommend buying 2 or 3 of them though if you have an appetite. The atmosphere is great and there's lots of alcohol being drank here. It's all thumbs up.

Hey, not sure if you're aware, but your online ordering for Victoria has been down for a while now. Would be better to remove the option entirely if it isn't available. Great place otherwise.

The crispy chicken burrito is the best burrito I have ever ever had. I can't get over it and every time I'm in Victoria it is a must stop. You can order ahead of time I think on their website or by phone.

If you're hungry go here! Amazing burritos and tacos the staff serves you at the table after you place an order. Great restaurant overall I've been here twice and will go alot more it's so worth it

If you've never been to a tacofino location, change that. Everything is delicious. Get a chocolate diablo cookie too!

The tacos and burritos are huge and very filling! The line-up was long and it did take awhile to get our order but when we did receive it, it was hot and delicious. Service was good and we had plenty of food for leftovers the next day.

I went here for the first time while visiting Victoria. It's a busy place, so be prepared to wait a bit if it's a typical meal time, but the food is worth it. I had a crispy chicken burrito. It was amazing! I wish we had this place in edmonton.

Have gone to the old location tons and loved the food.its amazing quality and is quite delicious

However at this new location the wait times are unacceptable. Have been twice and both times were waiting for over 50 minutes to pick up our food.no one in line before us ordering when we showed up and only a handful of people waiting to pick up. I will not be returning to this location though

Excellent customer service, we were greeted and felt welcoming as soon we entered. Order fish taco, the presentation as well the taste was superb. The bean taco was delicious. I would come back again

THE PLACE: Great location but you may have to pay for parking. Small but clean inside.
THE FOOD: Very delicious! The fish tacos are a must try. Sadly they were out of the tuna tacos.

The new location is much improved and much more accommodating. Obviously the enjoyment of the establishment had been very truncated due to the pandemic restrictions.

The service has slowed down recently and often well beyond the quoted time or the food hasn’t been as warm upon arrival but overall still a great place for take out.

I ordered the Fried Chicken Burrito, and it was really large, with a well-balanced combination of stuffing inside: protein, fiber, starch. It made a decent meal on its own, and it was delicious.
One little damper: the metal staples on the paper bag stuck out and almost hurt my fingers.

Visiting Victoria (finally) after 2nd vaccine dose. First meal stop was Taco Fino. Was pleased to see their new location with a take out window. What a great place. My daughter is gluten intolerant and can get a good meal. I’m vegetarian and the Veg Burrito is wonderful and can be had modified for Vegans. This place is worth support. So happy to see they made it thru. Would give 6 stars if allowed.

Waited over 40 minutes for couple of okay tacos (it used to be slightly better)

I had the chicken burrito tonight. Friend had the tuna taco and other friend had the crunchy chicken burrito. Fantastic. The habenero sause is delicious.

Amazing food! Love the steak tacos and the crispy chicken tacos! Quick service and food. Staff are always nice and courteous. Wish they had more/better seating.

The tacos are very tasty although pricier than elsewhere in town. They are popular as you'll notice upon entering the small establishment by one of two doors. There's always a lineup though it moves quickly. Take out is the preferred means of diners as every third patron seems to look for seating with the other two dash out the doors. Those who find a seat on a stool at one of the long bench tables are lucky, and for groups it's harder to stay together. In summer benches are set up outside but when it's cold you hunker down inside, attack your taco and try to eat up between bursts of cold air coming through the doors as people enter and exit. Most importantly the tacos taste good, there's hot sauce available, staff are nice and two bathrooms are available. I had a burrito a few years ago here and for the price I prefer a burrito as it's a meal. The tacos we got didn't fill us up but were a nice sampling of the menu. This place is not stroller friendly and I didn't see a change pad in the bathroom. The steak taco was very yummy and in the summer I look forwards to popping in for some take away burritos

Please note diseregard my comment if you do not have any Mexican family members, have never tasted authentic Mexican cuisine and have never traveled to Mexico (not in a resort).

1. My Mexican mother in law would not approve
2. Taco shell has the texture cooked rice paper sheets
3. The tomatillo green salsa lacks depth of flavour and spicy peppers, where is the chard onions and jalapeños at Jefe!?
4. Basmati rice in Mexican beans and rice, I don’t think so. Also where’s the garlic at?
5. Don’t get me started on that flavourless guacamole.

Good service, good presentation of food, fresh ingredients. I understand that this place is not trying to bring authentic Mexican cuisine to the table. However, you guys should seriously look into getting a better taco shell supplier or just make your own.

The food is always delicious, but they're spotty on actually adding hot sauce to a burrito when I ask for it.

You got 3 excellent taco places in a one-block radius. What to do? Tacofino if (1) you like crunchy bits (2) you like cookies (3) you are hungry later in the evening. Yam tempura or crispy chicken add great texture. The cookies (which sell out) are insanely epic mini cake things. The hours demolish the competition. Pricing is on the higher side of the burrito spectrum.

You must try the fish taco. I am a meat loving carpenter but could convert over the bean taco. No matter your taste every menu item will delight.

Good place for tacos and burritos in Victoria. One of the few places that are open late so be weary of lineup on the weekends.

Service was quick and we got through the line without spending too much time. The vegetarian yam burrito was awesome and unique! The yam taco was also great. Good selection of sauces and salsas to top and portions were adequate for the price.

Literally this place is from heaven. You will never want to eat anywhere else ever again. Great for breakfast lunch and dinner.

We stopped by for lunch on a recommendation from a local, this place is away from the tourist areas and definitely worth the short walk for an amazing taco or burrito. Super fresh and fantastic flavor. Check it out.you won't be sorry. It does get very busy around lunch so give yourself some extra time and patience.

I used to really love Tacofino, but the last while their food has been inconsistent in quality and portion.

Having only eaten at the Tofino location for years, I finally made it to this one and its also killer. To be fair, it seemed like there was some flavour missing from my fish burrito but I couldn't quite put my finger on it, still tasted great. All in all, would go there again

Prices are good but the food is even better! The causal environment makes it easy to eat in or take out. It’s a regular stop before 3 hour lectures for me! Definitely reccomend. Favourite taco/burrito place in Victoria

Probably my favorite tortilla soup in town. Steak burrito is really nice. Good assortment of hot sauce. Open late Which is nice when your in need of a taco fix.

Delicious fresh tacos. Communal tables and quick lines. Valentina on the table to add a spicy flavor burst.
