Taishoken Ramen

Super delicious for a very good price. The ramen portions are decently sized and I highly recommend the green tea which is only $2 (plus refill of hot water). Very nice atmosphere and great customer service. All in all 5/5!

Literally wow, customer service was extremely good, the ramen were incredibly good (full in flavour and good filling). We were greeted very politely by the nice waitress and she took good care of us by asking and helping with the menu. She also gave us a free refill of the tea water.
All in all I would definitely recommend you to check out this delicious ramen restaurant.

Yakisoba and veggie ramen are especially recommended!

I have never eaten ramen at a restaurant until a few days ago. What a wonderful eating experience it was. The taste was exceptionally good. The noodle in the yaki soba in particular taste like authentic Japanese ramen. The restaurant's atmosphere is like a bistro in Japan, warm and cozy. I had left a couple of critical items at eh restaurant and to my surprise, they shipped them to me to Seattle Washington. They went above and beyond to secure my valuables and returned them to me!

Tomato cheese is so delicious! It's a vegetarian ramen, so I didn't want to try it. However, I got recommendation from the server and I'm totally satisfied with it!

I could choose between original and spicy. I tried with spicy one. It was pretty spicy, but worth trying.

Let it be known that I almost never give bad reviews, especially when it comes to a ramen restaurant. But the tsukem n I had here was simply gross, maybe the worst ramen I've ever had. Let me qualify that.
I've had Tsukemen at Menya Musashi in Seattle, Shin ramen and Ippudo in LA, and Ramen Isshin, Kintin, Tondou Ramen, and Raijin in Toronto. Beyond this I've had other bowls at countless other places. I love ramen. I take pride in finishing my bowl, down to every last drop of soup, wherever I go. I could not even get halfway through this bowl.
The main issue is the soup. There's a pronounced unpleasant ginger flavour. Beyond that, the soup is extremely thick, even for Tsukemen, more like gravy than soup. Dipping the noodles actively makes them worse, but is necessary because they have no flavour on their own.
I also subbed in chicken chashu for the pork, and the chicken was pathetic, rubbering and with an unpleasant slimy texture, in addition to an off taste.
I literally have never recommended you avoid a ramen place. But you should avoid this ramen place.

I just LOVEEE this place. Whether you are by yourself and crave a creamy warm ramen, or whether you wanna enjoy a company in cold winter night, this is the right place for it!
The food is really good. I normally havr chicken since I don't like pork ramen, and it was AMAZING!
I only wish the default was to have a full egg instead of a half since egg topping to add is not very cheap, eventho extra chicken/pork price is reasonable

Fantastic little spot. First time here - Had a quick yet filling dinner with friends. Service was excellent and cheerful. Food was tasty and came out quickly. For a party of five, the price was more than reasonable and everyone left full and happy.

The ramen I got was the Tonkotsu and the noodles were perfect for chewing, the soup was in between regular and creamy and I liked it way more than I thought I would. I normally get the regular soup. The meat was super tender and delicious. Highly recommend! The location is just 5 mins walk from the skytrain too.

Ordered the Kara-miso Ramen and Spicy Gyoza. The food was good but the flavours in the Kara-miso Ramen were a bit light and didn't really soak into the noodles. Loved the gyoza!

We arrived late and we were still accepted, it was my first ramen ever and it was soooo good. I recommend it

This is mostly a NTS. Have tried Taishoken a few times (ramen and tsukemen) but have been underwhelmed every time. There are definitely better options in the city.

After so many years they still got it. Perfectly thick and chewy noodle and thick broth. Pretty empty on a weekday lunch so I hope they survive. Other tsukemen places in downtown just isn’t as good, like Itto.

Great food when you are feeling cold or a bit under the weather, the hot ramen will make you warm.

Excellent, quality, authentic Japanese food! I loved the tonkatsu ramen here, and the gyoza. They have vegan options which makes it easy when travelling with a group of folks with differing diets. My vegetarian friends liked the vegan ramen a lot too!
I subtracted a star because the waiter or kitchen fully forgot to place our orders of the main dishes. They did not follow up even after they'd given the check to the other tables - we had to ask what happened to out food. My ramen came out room temperature, but they quickly warmed it up on request. I still recommend this restaurant! But when I go back I'll be sure to ask that my order was fully placed.

I’ve had so many ramen in Vancouver, and this is one of the best I think! Not as famous as Danbo ramen and others, but definitely worth trying! High recommended!

I had the karamiso tonkotsu ramen and overall it was quite good. The broth had a nice level of spice and pork was tender. Portion could have been a bit bigger but value wise it was ok. It was really humid inside the establishment to the point the windows were steaming up.
