Take Thai Home Restaurants

It wasn't the first time that we had dined here at Take Thai Home on Commercial. My boyfriend and I really enjoyed the food here and had to come again for the 3rd time. I'm surprised there aren't many reviews for this restaurant.

We ordered the Royal Pad Thai, Tom Yum Kung Soup, Thai Fried Rice, and the appetizer Calamari.

My boyfriend was ecstatic about the Thai fried rice and my favourite was the Tom Yum Kung Soup. There are lots of flavours and aromatics in the dishes we ordered. Great selection of items on the menu.

I went to this place with a lot of expectation and not to mention, the food wasn’t even nice, we also found hair in it! We informed the staff about it politely and asked them to be a bit careful but they were plain rude and started treating us with so much attitude. For some reason, we didn’t have a pleasant experience at all. Everything we ordered was too sweet and lacked any salt in it! Sorry, don’t recommend this place at all.

Absolutely delicious dishes! Food is very authentic with special Thai sauces. The price is reasonable, better than all of Thai place around this area! I wish they opened more late

Ordered green curry with beef for takeout. Get home to notice they gave me the vegetarian option. And then I found a hair in it

Ordered a vegetarian curry for 2, get home, of course it has chicken. Go back, I see the worker in the kitchen trying to pick the chicken out of the tub. I uelp of course, say I want a refund, they a t all shocked like I've done something wrong. What a joke

The food and service was good, nothing too special. However, I was surprised I was charged "Food Tax" and PST, that's like additional 8% to the bill, not a huge deal but from my understanding restaurants are only supposed to charge GST.

I haven’t been here for years but they still have the best Tom Yum soup in the city. Service was nice and price is amazing for the quality. Check them out if you want authentic Thai

My wife and I eat here often and it is always good. We've tried numerous Thai restaurants around the neighbourhood and most are quite good but they have 'off days' on which the food they serve is sub-par. Take Thai Home has been absolutely great every time we've ordered from them. Great food, good price, and always consistent quality.

This spot sure knows how to satisfy their customers. Constantly with a friendly attitude. The food is affordably priced, constantly flavorful and neat.

Would definitely recommend trying out this place. Fantastic ambience, yummy food, great customer service. Keep up the good work.

I love thai cuisine. There to busy working on that to go business. Your walk in are important to. The food was ok

I had high hopes for this restaurant. It took them 1 hour and 15 minutes to prepare an order of fish cakes and a pad Thai. When my food arrived, it was not warm at all that the noodles are already stuck together and took the shape of the take out container. It also didn’t taste like Pad Thai, it had a sour after taste. The fish cakes were okay, they taste like those frozen fish cakes you can get from TNT. Unfortunately, I don’t think I’ll be ordering from this place again.

Don't know why there are so many good reviews, maybe the chef's have changed because this was the worst Thai food, of not food in general I've had.

Terrible service. The woman that works there is incredibly rude. The ginger beef portion was ridiculously small. There’s hardly any protein in any of my other dishes either. Poor quality and poor attitude. Will not return

Great curry and spicy beef Thai. Also recommend the Chicken satay! Nice and juicy unlike a lot of satay I've had in the past. Great friendly staff too!

Great food, reasonable price, friendly staff. I ordered Pad thai and Red curry so yummy, will go back again.

I had the green curry with their spring rolls for takeout and everything was delicious. It was actually some of the best green curry I’ve taste in a while. I woud highly recommend getting rice with it as well to soak up all the juices and thicken the sauce. The staff was also very friendly and the restaurant was very cozy. Take a date. Have some take out and enjoy this little spot.

Very very disappointed with their attitude. I ordered a regular entree and called back to ask to have rice and salad because I forgot to add a combo and I said sorry for having to ask again and she hung up the first time. I called back and said hey you hung up and I said I just wanted to order the rice and salad that usually comes with the combo. The lady on the phone immediately got angry said I was blaming them for making a mistake and that it "wasn't the kitchen's fault" but I told her I wasn't I just wanted to order some more not sure why she said that and then I said that in the beginning I just wanted to buy the rice, salad and wonton like the combo because I forgot originally and then she continued to have a frustrated attitude it was so stressful to hear that (especially coming back from the clinic and hospital today) so I said I would just call back and my bf heard what happened called them back and told them that I just wanted the combo so they said they would make it for free and it was a misunderstanding. I got there and they still just charged me. Really upsetting. I loved going here with their normally bright a lovely attitude but after that I will never come back again.
