I never normally leave reviews unless I have an extremely good or Extremely terrible experience. Let me Start off by saying that I also had a pedicure here and it was absolutely amazing I could give it five stars however I had the unfortunate experience of having a full set of nails done here as well and if I could give it a negative hundred stars I would. The woman who did my nails was a Caucasian lady. She started by doing my nails during the same time that I had my pedicure done and she kept telling me how she couldn’t see so well at that location. She had the acrylic powder set aside with one of those scoops that you get with your laundry soap in, not in the jar and I don’t know what was in it but when she put on the powder it went like this greyish color. She did a few nails with that and then said that she got the wrong colour and that she would have to go get a different one. She then came back with proper acrylic powder.
I asked her if she could do my nails thin because I don’t like them super thick and heavy. My regular nail girl has no problem doing this. This woman stacked on the acrylic thicker than my actual fingers. I asked her if they were going to be thin and she said Yep Yep super thin of course I just have to do all of these layers first. Doesn’t make sense to me but OK. I have had my nails done for the last 20 years and never had them done like this at all. She seemed frustrated and frazzled the entire time and quite frankly annoyed with everything. Kind of like when you know you are butchering the job but don’t know what to do with yourself lol. She took 2 1/2 hours to do my nails. When they were filed I looked at them and it was like a gummy texture I’ve never had anything like this before. I don’t know what she used but it definitely wasn’t normal product. She then went to put the topcoat on and I looked at it and it said”base soak” and it was a pink Color. I asked why she was using pink over top of it as a topcoat and she kind of went frantic and pulled out the topcoat out of the drawer and said it’s the same thing it’s the same thing as topcoat. I’m like OK… she also kept telling me not to look at my nails until they were finished. Let’s keep in mind that for me and my friend to have a pedicure and then to have a manicure and me to have a full set it was $150. That just goes to show you how cheap they are. Stay away from this place. I have to get my nails redone by my regular technician now because it feels like there’s cement on my fingernails. These guys don’t know what the heck they’re doing at all! I wish that I read the reviews before I went there. I am so upset.

Excellent manicure and pedicure job. A bit uncomfortable twisting to have both sides done at once

WELL, I seriously don’t even know where to start with this place. First of all, I want to start by saying that I am disabled and in a wheelchair and unable to do a lot of things I am unable to walk and use my left arm. They are very aware of this at the shop. I’ll start with my first visit for my eyelash fill. I went for an eyelash fill with Wendy and I went to get off the table and she pulled me so hard off the table that she pulled me onto the floor and I cracked a wrist bone in my hand, which made it even harder for me to mobilize And do things and I wasn’t even that apologetic for it. I could have sued her, but did not. I was so disgusted by that. I continued to go I don’t know why… Are you continued to give her another chance I went in for a nail fill with Aiden ‘s, I’d open the door and said hello and nobody answered… I must’ve said hello about 10 times, I proceeded to make my way inside, and he came out of the back, looking irritated that I was even there. We then begin starting the nails, and he couldn’t even make a nail because he was doing an acrylic nail and trying to make a nail on my hand, and could not even make a nail and I was going to a special event that day and it was absolutely ridiculous and he told me to come in the following day after I had made my way in there to do it that day. It was so ridiculous. He was so rude to me. One week later, I had a discussion with Wendy, and told her what happened and thought that she would take action with this circumstance, and I called to make an appointment for my eyelash fill and was told to go to the Ocean Park store, so I wasn’t welcome at the WHITE ROCK store anymore… It was disgusting. I would suggest you find somewhere else to go.

First, I will say this salon gives amazing pedicures! 5 stars for that.
But if you need gel nails done, I do not recommend. I tried them for the first time in November and by the time it was time to go back for a fill, 2 nails were broken and more than half of the others were lifting. I went for my next fill and showed them what was happening and the technician said she would try something different to make sure it didn't happen again. After one day, one nail was already lifting. A week later 2 nails were broken. Another week later and 3 more nails were lifting. I went in to ask for my money back since clearly, this was again not a good job. I was told they do not refund on services. I was also told that my nails might not be good for gel. She said she could fix the lifting and broken nails but why would I get that done when this was surely going to happen again? I have been getting my nails done for well over 20 yrs (gel for over 10) and I have never had lifting and breaking like this. I will not be going back.
