I have bought 3 guitars from Tapestry Music in the last six months living in the Toronto area. They have been shipped in a timely fashion, arrived in perfect condition, and setup properly. I would recommend them highly.

The store is larger than I thought, with a wide variety of instruments. The guys were helpful and friendly while helping me to rent a violin for my daughter, and advised me about drum sticks.

I ordered a Royal Conservatory of Music Voice book from this company a day or so ago. It has arrived today in good time, in great condition and well packaged. I cannot recommend this company more highly for ease of ordering and efficiency since I needed this book to practise with right away to be ready for a lesson next week. Would definitely re-order from this company again and highly recommend it.

I received excellent service from Tapestry on Upper 10th in Vancouver when I needed help in buying a classical guitar, digital tuner, footrest, and guitar case. Ryan was my first contact when I contacted the shop through their website; he answered promptly and offered wise advice. When I decided on a guitar, he went over everything I needed to know before taking my it home with me. Since the guitar bag I wanted was on back-order, the shop lent me another brand to use for a full month. Highly recommend this shop!

The service of this music store is amazing! After receiving a poorly printed copy of a Christmas oriented guitar book, it was immediately replaced with no questions asked and no extra shipping costs. All told from time of original order to receipt of the replacement copy was 8 actual days (6 working days) involving shipping from BC to Calgary. Outstanding service!

Calling the store at the end of business day on Saturday to find out a music flute book is available on their store or not, and the staff was so friendly and searched, found and put the book on hold for me to pickup for next business day.

Very helpful and knowledgeable staff! I usually see a local luthier for my primary instrument needs but for everything else in music I’ve started going to Tapestry even though it’s pretty significantly out of my way. The staff knows their instruments, the setups are impeccable, and everyone’s very friendly—it’s well worth a detour!

This is a Vancouver treasure of a music store that’s open and friendly to customers of all ages. Came in person to purchase a yoke-style Paige capo that was out of stock elsewhere. Knowledgeable, helpful, courteous staff who took the time to look at an online photo used to advertise the same product to confirm it was the right one, as the online photo looked different from the item in the package. I’ve been a customer on and off since the old store on West Broadway was known as Prussin Music and my son took fiddle and then keyboard and voice lessons there. Interesting selection of quality, mid-priced instruments that appear to be already in tune before the customer even takes the instrument off the rack to try it out. Well laid out and organized. If it were located closer to me I would visit it more often.

Awesome experience shopping with Tapestry! I found an instrument I wanted at the White Rock store, and asked if they could ship it to Vancouver so I could check it out. They did so swiftly and happily, and held it for me until I had a chance to pop into the store and check it out. No high-pressure sales tactics - just helpful information, courteous service, and a beautiful instrument that I had time to try out and fall in love with before I purchased! Would happily shop at Tapestry again.

I hadn't played my cello in quite some time and I wasn't able to tune it because the pegs kept slipping. I also needed to change a couple of my strings and generally make sure the cello was set up correctly.

The folks at Tapestry are both kind and knowledgeable. They cleaned my pegs and changed my strings and didn't even charge me. I browsed their music books while I was waiting and I was only too happy to purchase one from them. What a great music store!

Very friendly staff. They didnt sell strings for a seven string guitar, but they looked up the gauges and found me what I needed.

My son’s instrument was stolen and tapestry staff was so kind and helpful. Thankfully because of insurance I was able to get the instrument replaced!

Wonderful local business. They took the time to explain the different types of violin strings to my 11 year old after listening to her explanation of what kinds of music she generally plays (fiddle, not classical) and helped match that to a good set for her. Much appreciated since I know nothing about music.

Brian was very helpful in deciding which ukulele tuner to buy and how to properly use it.
He patiently explained and showed the differences between three Snark tuners as well as demonstrating the sounds of a low g versus a high g string.

I went there to buy Cello strings and they were very helpful. They also helped us tune the cello which is a really nice bonus! It's a nice store too!

My first visit in person at this location. Ryan, music specialist was extremely helpful and took time to review my wish list on instrument selection and answer questions. Larger music stores don’t seem to spend this much time educating and assisting patrons. He also was technical as I asked about the playability and challenges that he addressed. It helped narrowed my selection down. Thank you.

Loads of options for capos and guitar straps. Saw some pretty sweet ukulele straps as well. Definitely coming back to get my guitar strings replaced here:) staff are knowledgeable and kind.

Recently I purchased a premium cello from Tapestry, Vancouver. Before I purchased it, I had been renting one since April last year. Everyone in this branch is very nice and ready to help, but I should say Hans has been exceptional among them in various ways while providing help and services. He listens carefully and sincerely, understands customers needs and concerns quickly, and always effectively addresses them in a timely and pleasant manner. On top of that, he went beyond expectations many times by giving more choices and flexibilities when I was facing tough choices between models and among available ones.

I am not an easy customer and usually have quite picky requirements and high expectations. Hans was always ready to listen and did his best to accommodate all the detailed requests with impressive patience, and consistently provided his great services. Choosing an expensive musical instrument is challenging especially when having a limited budget. Hans made the process satisfactory and even pleasant all the way. Thanks to him, I enjoyed my rented cello and now I am happy with my newly purchased cello. My deep and genuine thanks to him for all his help for the past year and I strongly recommend Tapestry regarding musical instrument rentals or purchases.

It was my first time being in the store. I had rented a saxophone for my sons band and had to return it. Upon returning it i was greeted with so much kindness.

The funny thing is that I've been wanting to learn the guitar and it was something i wanted to add to my 2022 hobby. I saw that there was a long wall of them all lined up and asked for some assistance. Started asking some questions. I original intention was to rent and try it out. The knowledge and the friendly customer service led me in finding a guitar that i fell in love with.

Im not one to write reviews but the customer service is jus so amazing. I forgot to mention when i had rented my sons saxophone, they dropped it off at his school which saved me the trip as i live out by Burnaby North.

I went into the store to get a classical guitar. This was my first time buying an instrument and I had no idea what to look for. I had a wonderful experience, I did not feel rushed, I was given a little corner in the store where I tried different guitars probably 10 times each. All of my questions were answered, I ended up spending less than what I anticipated and I am thrilled with my new instrument. Thank you so much for your kindness and patience!

I ordered a Gretsch G9500 Jim Dandy online on a Wednesday and it was delivered gratis by the following Wednesday. The harmonics on this guitar are right on. It has a great blues sound, holds it's tune very well, and is very comfortable playing while seated. Thank you guys for having this fine affordable instrument in stock and arranging the free shipping!

Great service, they were able to custom order the viola strings I prefer to play on, and get them to me long before a US supplier. Their staff has experienced, professional musicians who know about the products they recommend.

This place has excellent customer service and has a wonderful, small-business feel. I am a professional pianist and piano teacher. I recommend Tapestry to my piano students for their music purchases and for digital piano purchase or rental. My students are always pleased! I also buy teaching supplies from them as well. Got my guitar restrung. Service was friendly and fast. It only took an hour and a half to restring. Would be 5 stars but I'm not used to paying 20 dollars for a restringing service. No complaints on anything else though. Would recommend.

Very helpful and knowledgable staff. When the metronome we purchased didn’t turn out to be suitable, they exchanged it immediately and offered lots of helpful advice about a replacement product. Highly recommend!

Tapestry Music is a wonderful place to browse if you’re looking for a unique gift or new hobby. Has a great selection of high quality string instruments, including ukuleles; woodwind instruments and accessories such as reeds; and wide variety of sheet music. It’s now my go to place for picking up piano books for my daughter- everything for Royal Conservatory is well stocked including sight reading books, book of etudes etc in addition to the regular repetoire. The gentleman working there was extremely knowledgeable and a pleasure to talk to. I also like getting music themed gifts around Christmas time. Highly recommended.
