Taqueria Playa Tropical

Ordered the beef enchiladas which were terrible. The beef was extremely dry and the sauce was absolutely tasteless. The rice and beans accompanying the dish were also bland and tasteless. Disappointing experience and won't be back.

Best Mexican food in the lower mainland hands down! Can't be beat and their pricing is extremely affordable for the amount of food you get.

Ordered take out and when I took the first bite of the rice, I pulled a long black hair out of my mouth. The steak was so small and just all fat. Spent $60 just to throw it all out. I do not recommend this place.

Good taste but every days they are busy. So maybe you guys have to wait but it is worth it

The portion size was just right, leaving me satisfied without needing a siesta afterward.

My wife, a true burrito champion, tackled their "monster burrito, " and let me tell you, it lived up to its name! It was a behemoth of deliciousness, bursting with flavor.

I find it's gone downhill as far as the food. Won't dine in there again, as the place is a mess. They don't seem to have enough storage space, as there are piles of boxes, cases of drinks, etc piled thru-out the dining room. Not the nicest atmosphere

Super Mexican food. Forgot our guacamole and we didn't all get out food at the same time so had to give 4 stars but food was delicious and severs very friendly and helpful.

Busy, lots of ambient noise, Mexican soccer match playing on the TVs, plenty of happy customers, great food!
Our waitress was patient and informative, offering suggestions and then providing us with some time to consider our meal selections. It was just 2 of us and we wound up ordering 1/2 nachos, quesadilla dinner, enchillada dinner and churro dessert. We were seriously stuffed with the portions that came out. We are thinking we could share one dinner and still be plenty full.
Definitely this will be our go to for family style Mexican food, that won't break the bank!
That said, they don't take reservations, and they are often very busy, but it seems the turnover is fairly quick. Many patrons typically eat and leave, with the odd exceptions of drinker tables. We did notice there were lots of take out meals as this is located close to residentials, so definitely is an alternative to dine in!

I appreciate a medium rare stake but this was really undercooked still with a few drops of blood probably not ordering again.

Had take out and dine in experience. Food was always great. Great for the price. The only thing is that their phone line is always busy or off the hook which makes it difficult to order take out

This place is Delicious and amazing value. Just go. Get anything on the menu, except the Monster Burrito unless you have a friend to share it with.it's way too big for one person!

I used to love this restaurant but my recent experience will probably cause me to re-think eating here in the future. Service was very slow and we had to flag out waitress down multiple times to even have our order taken. I received my entree about 15 minutes before my partner did which was a bit awkward as we were unable to eat at the same time. The refried beans were completely flavourless, without a single bit of spice or salt. The chicken for the fajitas seemed as it had been steamed or boiled and again lacked flavour. Portions were reasonable but only 3 small tortillas were served with fajitas which was no way near enough for the amount of to and peppers served. Overall, just an awkward and lack lustre experience.

Anytime I'm in New West, I make an effort to get lunch or dinner here. The food and drinks are extraordinary and the price is pretty reasonable.

Great value menu with tons of options and weekday specials. Vegetarian options, lots of drink options, and low key atmosphere. Definitely would come back!
