Special thanks to Velvet and the staff at the local CIBC branch in assisting me with expediting a transfer of funds. In spite of some logistical difficulties, I must say the people there worked very hard to meet my needs.

I am not a client of TD bank, maybe I would've initially been treated a little kinder if I was. I needed the service of this bank to witness me completing an out of province estate document. I thought that alone would've generated kindness, I was wrong. The teller that I was first greeted with was kind, but didn't understand what I needed so she asked for assistance. This person was a whole other experience, she was rude and argued with me about how they couldn't do anything for me because I wasn't a client and that I needed to go to my bank or notary. The estate documents were on TD letterhead with the client and account number right at the top of the page. She went on about "well, what are we supposed to do, just issue you a cheque? ", " Who's getting the other half? ". I was stunned, zero compassion, with her big furrowed brow. So when she was over herself, I calmly explained again for the 3rd time, what my instructions were from the lawyer. I had to explain to her, that the money was coming from where the estate originated, and that they would be issuing the funds. She behaved like I was trying to rip her off personally. She heard me and then she was able to help the clerk, a bit. Then another person came to help, she seemed to be very knowledgeable and got it all sorted out, pleasantly too.

Been a customer here for decades.
Piles of money in a savings account we don't touch and they place ridiculous holds on my bank cheques before payroll.
Pulling all of my accounts next week

I really didnt want to leave this review but gotta save other the headache dont bank with td if your native they have really really bad service if your not white they tend to make up policies to make you wait longer and longer took them 2 weeks just to cash a check. Dont bank here I called them to complain and they didn't see anything wrong and told me they didnt know what to do about being racist

Friendly staff, quick service most times. Note as of Dec 3rd 2021 ATM has been vandalized not useable until? ?

Staff are friendly and patient. However, the ATM machine personal need to pay more attention as you can not always deposit cash, especially Mondays!

Worst experience I have ever had at a bank.
I went to get my bank statements, for the last cpl years, to get my taxes done.
I waited in the line, only to hear the teller, announcing the fact, that this lady had $14 in her account, asking her what she would like to do with all of it.
I thought that was rude and she could have been way more discreet.
My turn came up, and I was told there was a $360 charge for my statements.
$15 per month. I said I would come back the following day.
I came back the next day, to these people, after confirming that $360 was not the charge.
I was told they would call me in a cpl hours after it was printed, and, and that I could not wait for the paperwork (which they didnt call all day, as I knew they wouldn't, due to the attitude, and laughter as I left).
I was assuming that they were extremely busy with the two other people in the bank, and left.
I came back a half an hr to closing, after speaking to two different people at head office.
Head office had confirmed that what they were charging me was "unheard of" by one of them, and "ludicrous, and coaching was necessary, and that they were going to contact Alberni branch"
With this knowledge, I confronted the teller and manager. I asked them one last time, after two days of grief from them, if this is really what they wanted to do.
I had told them also, that I'd spoken to head office.
The manager came out and said "yes, I am sure of this, and that's the policy. "
Fair enough, I told her and to go ahead, I will pay.
I walked out with a receipt, called head office, and was reimbursed by the time I rode my bicycle home. I have left the names of the "unkind staff" out if this, as they know who they are, and I feel it is not necessary to add, unless the unkindness continued. I have recorded phone calls and conversations also.
Please be careful and confirm any type of "charges" this branch may charge. I wonder how many senior citizens or unaware folk, have been overcharged in the past? This is the last place I would bank ever on the planet. I have since moved my TFSA savings account from there, and the rest of my accounts are to follow.

Every other employee and branch have been nothing but beautiful experiences. Nothing against the rest of the kind, and extremely helpful staff.
I also thank the people at customer service for the help.

The level of incompetence at this branch is beyond belief. We needed to make a wire transfer and without validating they sent the wire to the wrong account. After 45 minutes of "repairing" this mistake they gave us written confirmation that the wire will be done. 2 days later, Sabrina calls from the branch, the wire is missing information.we call back, spend another hour waiting for an answer. 25 years with TD I have never seen this.
