Stephanie is the best stylist in Nelson for wavey and curly hair! Affordable dry cuts and custom cut to suit your hair texture. I recommend her to all of my friends and family. I have been 3 or 4 times and will keep coming back.:)

Wooow such rude front desk staff. I stopped in to grab some products and book an appointment but oh my, the eye rolls. Yea so I didn’t book anything, can’t comment on their services.

My eyebrow tint was left on too long and now I get to feel embarrassed facing people for a week, but the shape is great (thank you!) and the too-dark brows were not the biggest issue I experienced at the spa.

When I entered the reception there was a very beautiful young golden retriever sitting on the bench. I'm pregnant and generally feel like sitting and so scooted next to her. She instantly started play bitting me. The woman at the reception apologized for the dog, as it was obvious she was not the appropriate personality or age to have greeting spa guests.

My partner who loves dogs came in and solved my discomfort by playing with her to try and get her energies out for the good of everyone, but she was really young and untrained, hard to tame. Not that this should have been the public's nor client's responsibility!

Eventually the dog owner came to the front and scolded my partner for letting the dog play bite, as though there was a choice.again the dog and her behaviour was not his responsibility. This is a spa reception and the vibe turned sour.

I didn't say much because I was shocked at the lack of perspective and lack of customer service and didn't want to piss anyone off before my eyebrow appointment. But it still bothers me because of the complete inappropriateness. I was not able to sit the whole time because she was a incesent puppy and had claimed the bench with her energy and dog hair. But in the end, it was the owner's reaction that formed my negative opinion of the Tea Garden spa service.

Please consider that your clients should have the right to sit and not be hassled by a technician's pet and that reception areas form the client's first opinions of your spa's service. What vibe are you wanting to greet your clients with?

Had my first haircut/style for the first time in years and I am absolutely in love. Bobbi did such an amazing cut. She achieved everything I wanted. Overall I had such a lovely experience! Will definitely be back for future cuts!

Hi everyone- I am an esthetician. I thought I try them out a couple weeks ago for a sugar French bikini wax. My husband drove me in that day as the roads were terrible; about 25 min drive. Parking in Nelson bc can be brutal… limited parking! My appointment was for 11: 00am. I arrived at 11: 07am to the manager and esthetician who was supposed to provide service talking about me, rolling their eyes as if there was a big problem! I greeted them happily and expected my appointment. Hi I’m elysia I’m here for my appointment- I was very rudely told no, I was told they were so busy that she couldn’t and would not provide me service! I drove in a blizzard, got dropped off by the spa so my husband could find a spot to park, I was gossiped about, stared down and rejected. So brutal. I have worked in a few spas and I have never once seen anyone of anyone’s clients be rejected due to being 7 mins late. They staff were unprofessional, rude, no guest service or customer service what so ever. I have heard terrible experiences about the staff but thought I’d try as I was looking for sugaring services. I’ll happily never support this local business with my money! Telling anyone I know my experience. Brutal.

Had a birthday present from my partner that was very expensive. Each time I went in I got treated like I shouldn’t be in there. The manager makes you feel like trash and is not friendly. Each time the massage therapist were lovely… but then when I went to pay for my treatment with a gift card she actually said to me “uh you’re paying with a gift card. That’s annoying”…. So that made me feel great… after the first experience I went in with my partner again and got massages… on that same gift card… that she messed up on and after my partner went back to try to fix it she still gave him amounts on there that I never spent. I am a local here and have worked for Aveda before…. I will NEVER spend another cent there again I left feeling like I was a bother to them after everything that happened. The only thing I got from this spa is the therapist that work there, I will be seeing them at the other places they work.

I got a women’s cut today and had the best experience. I was a little early to my appointment and was greeted with a cup of tea. The overall atmosphere is super welcoming and professional. Bobbi did an incredible job and treated me to the best scalp massage when washing my hair. She was super professional, funny and personable. My overall cut looks great and was EXACTLY what I asked for. If you’re looking for a new stylist Bobbi is amazing. Highly highly recommend! I will be back for balayage for sure.

10/10 would go here again. The staff are all super nice, plus they compliment your hair (which is always fun). And they do amazing jobs as well. I would recommend that you request for Bethanie to do your hair as she is my favorite stylist there.
