Tealips Cafe

Tea is good, however the portion I got is not ok. Why I pay 7$ for this much tea, Tealips?

Never heard of Tealips Cafe but we were looking for a BBT spot.

Strangest thing I've seen with the time limits. Waffles only served until 8: 30pm, artisan sandwiches and bingsoo until 8: 00pm.

- 2x Waffle pop combo - strawberry mango fresh fruit slush ($6.75), tea jelly ($0.60) and raspberry liege waffle ($2.50). Other combo was lychee fresh fruit slush ($6.50) with pearls ($0.30), white pearls ($0.40) and mango jelly ($0.30). He opted for the milky matcha liege waffle ($2.50). The waffles were bad; dry, dense and didn't taste fresh. Sauces were very generic. Drinks were slightly better. Fairly generous with the toppings.

Nothing out of the ordinary at TC. 2.5 stars.

I love tealips! I used to come here and study and it is so peaceful and calming.also a great place to spend time with friends and very cute!

I love coming here! The staff are always so sweet and so are their waffles! I swear they use the most sweet and perfect berries. I always come here when I need a pick me up and it never misses. Would like to try the bingsu next. Keep up the great work everyone

Delicious food everytime.

Their sandwiches are so good! I order the pesto sandwich everytime: toasted focaccia bread, ham, swiss, lettuce, tomato, pesto and mayonnaise. It is a very flavourful sandwich and quite filling.

Pair it with a brown sugar milk tea with tea jelly and you have delicious savoury and sweet lunch.

There aren’t a lot of seatings, it may not be the best place to go to for large groups.

I tried the sweet potato latte, it was interesting - the flavor of sweet potato was not strong but not a bad drink overall
I have also ordered the mix berries waffle. It was tasty and I like their plate decorations but it wasn’t wow (and it was mainly strawberries with 4 pieces of blueberries)

Great waffles and great drinks though a little pricy imo. The service was amazing and staff were friendly. I recommend trying out this cafe!

Would definitely love to come again and try out their other waffles and drinks.

I love tealips! It always feels very warm and cozy and makes for a perfect place to stay when the weather gets cold. I’ve been getting the paradise peach tea almost every time I go, it’s delicious:) As far as food goes, my favourite is the ham and bacon sandwich. The portion size is perfect and I like the bread a lot.

Cozy cafe with a nice vibe, with so much selection to fit anyone's taste. I come here every so often to have conversations with friends, and I think that it's a great place to do so!

Amex not accepted. Good service, well-staffed. Although the drinks do take a while. Tried mango fruit tea and hojicha milk tea. They were acceptable. Neither was particular impressive. Can't comment on the food/desserts as I have not tried them.

Cute atmosphere, love the waffles, and the coconut coffee slush tastes amazing. It takes a while to get the drink but its worth it.

Food and drinks ordered were delicious! I really enjoyed the brie, as well as chicken pesto sandwich + matcha lover drink. Main complaint is that service is very slow. We were the only ones at the cafe at the time of ordering and it still took their 3 staff members over 20+ minutes to prepare our food. Later ordered one waffle and it also took them again another 20+ minutes.

Good service and their freshly made sandwich is so tasty, Also they have lots bubble tea options. Highly recommend this cute cafe in Burnaby Highgate Village area.

What a treat! I got a red bean & matcha Belgian waffle, and I loved every bite. Cozy atmosphere, and friendly service. I spent a bit more than I was hoping for, but it was not a big deal.

The bubble tea is really good, they have a wide variety and many options, their waffles and bingsoo are also great, but one flaw it has is that it's a little on the expensive side, but if you wanna go every once in a while its a really nice place. The inside of the cafe is also well decorated and the mood is really chill!

Incredibly balanced sandwiches. This is what a sandwich should be. Very nice light drinks and this has to be the only place still doing fake taro drinks. I’m not a fan of real taro drinks and it’s been hard finding a place that does fake taro. Looking forward to ordering from here again

The bread in their sandwiches is delicious! It's crunchy without being hard. Loved the ham and bacon one!

Staff was slow and that what mainly made me a bit angry however the customers rushed me to order and the boba was aight the gooq thing is the waffle pop really ch es ap and good.if i had the chance to order online it would be somwhere else. But in general it isnt that good

The desserts have a good size and they are tasty. Tea isn't super sweet, which is also good and helps the flavor

Cute mom and pop cafe with a variety of Asian and European cafe treats. This visit I had the Peach and Strawberry Yakult drinks with coconut jelly. I came around 8pm, and they ran out of some of the other toppings including pearls. Even though I got 75% sweet for each they were still very sweet. I would choose even less sugar next time!

Service was a bit slow.

This visit was during COVID times so there was no indoor seating at the time.

This is a cute and quiet cafe to work at and order bubble tea and waffles. They have a wide selection of bubble tea to chose from, though they did take a while to make. I liked the aesthetic of the cafe and the decorations were a nice addition too. I would recommend this place to anybody.

There were quite a few people in the shop which showers it's popularity however the service was slow and the drinks were okay. Lots of drink options and the staff didn't really sure too much information about their drinks/strength/taste. While making my drink, 3 staff members were gathered around the kitchen trying to figure out how to make it.

Went in for a treat, my wife ordered the tiramisu waffle and chose the nuts chocolate waffle with a cup of Latte, while both were delicious the tiramisu was the winner! And the coffee was excellent. Cozy place and nice welcoming employees.

The artisanal sandwiches are amazing! The aesthetic is also quite nice, and the variety of milk teas are also really good.

I walked in and asked for a strawberry black tea with pearls and the guy decided to make the drink without pearls! Never going back ever again. Ignorant!
I called them and he was rude. Lost a customer!

Prior to their short-term closure because of COVID, I would go to this cafe frequently to get my dessert waffle fix. Since their re-opening, I've ordered take out twice for their dessert waffle (I ordered by phone the first time, secondly through their website). I usually order one liege berry waffle and one brussels waffle. Unfortunately, for both times I ordered, the waffles were overcooked (the texture was hard and the liege was not "chewy" like how they advertise). I suspect they either gave us two brussels instead of one of each waffle type however, this has happened for both times that I ordered take-out. If that isn't the case, then there is no difference between the liege and brussels since they both had the same consistency/texture/taste.

This is the closest dessert waffle place to where I live, but I don't think I will come back to order based on the past two experiences. Quite a disappointment considering the price-point as well.

Love this bubble tea spot! Especially since they have fantastic non-dairy options like Oat Milk Brown Sugar Pearl. They use really nice tea in many of their drinks.
The waffles are delicious too.

This is my go-to shaved iced place!
Not too sweet and the toppings are perfect ️
It's a small little cafe in Highgate and it has a great ambience perfect for a study session or meet-up with friends or a dessert date night.

They have other items on the menu such as the waffle (pictured) which is also well done.
And they have milk tea, smoothies and other cafe fancy drinks that you can adjust sweetness levels!

Service is good and fairly quick for drinks, the food takes some time because they make it on the spot

A fairly long wait because the restaurant also serves food and it appeared as though dine in patrons took priority. But my mango banana fresh fruit smoothie was delicious!

A wee-bit pricey but quality is great. The space is great too for work or school. I come here to work aside from getting their bbt.

I love this place! Good bubble tea and yummy waffles. And it's a good place to camp with your laptop and work, if that's your thing.

Great little hidden cafe in Burnaby, they have a wide menu of drinks with fresh tasting ingredients and flavors, as well as some nice snacks, desserts and a great atmosphere if you want to hang out with a few friends or pop open a laptop.

Good, fast tea at great prices. Not the best tea around but the fast service and the good prices (and great parking) make it a spot for ideal late night beverage indulgences.

Not only do they have fab bubble tea, hot or cold, they are also environmentally conscious! The cups, staws and straw wrappers are all compostable! I wish more companies would follow suit!

Great service. Below average taro milk bubble tea. I would rather go elsewhere for bubble tea. Regular tea is okay. Atmosphere is good.

Menu is large! Lots of options for tea, smoothies, americanos/coffee, and blended beverages. Sandwiches too.

Went here 2 nights in a row, first night at 1015 and they said we have to show up before 10 for waffles and the next night we go before ten and they say the waffles were finished at 9pm.they run out of batter.why not make more? Bubble tea is good but expensive.will go somewhere else from now on.

The atmosphere here is always pleasant if you just want to hang out with friends and to have something sweet. The desserts and drinks are always delicious!

Serious staffing issue. During the hour of 8-9, there just seemed to be a non stop stream of people coming in for desserts. I ordered a liege waffle and had to wait almost half an hour to get my food. I don't think it was the worker's fault, but the wait issue could probably be fixed.
Food and drinks were both good. The worker present that night was very informative and friendly. He let me know the best way to get the best value for my drink and was very accommodating when I let him know of my dietary restriction.

Used to be really good joint for Bubble Tea, Waffles and late night chats. Seems there is either a management change or the owners have lost interest in serving people. They are out of most stuff like pearls, shaved ice and closed the waffle iron too early (more than an hour before closing). Disappointed heavily.

It was good quality overall for the milktea and pineapple ice tea. The belgian waffle with fruits is also pretty good. Ordered around 9: 30pm so not too long of a wait. But it is fairly pricy!

Their shaved ice is really delicious. Love the crunchy chocolate mini ball toppings.it's worth 15 for it.guy that I ordered from could verbalize a bit more, I was expecting him to say something in return or tell me more about my order like the price or tell me more about anything. Just extra effort to make it a more inviting experience.

A little hidden gem in South Burnaby. Our favourites are: Hojicha cheese tea and Mango yogurt smoothies. Remember to ask for a stamp card.

Kind and generous service. Smiles and delicious chocolate. Young girls and boys know what they are doing. A bit crowded. That's a good thing! Bit expensive. Overall recommended! Bus and transit accessible from Metropolis at metrotown and from Coquitlam.

It’s a tasty place if they actually have the stuff that’s on their menu.
About 3 out of 5 times they are out of pearls, take no cash cause the system failed or whatever.

I ordered my lunch through Doordash at 2: 38pm and waited around 40mins. I got a call from Doordash at 3: 18pm and heard that my order would be cancelled. I'm surprised that this store didn't check if they could take my order or not when they got my order. I just waited around 40 mins without any notice until this call. I couldn't eat lunch today and worked with hungry. Don't order anything from here via Doordash. This store can't control their customers' orders.

Warm and quieter setting compared to other bubble tea shops. The drinks tend to be on the sweeter side but I ask for half sweet. Excellent desserts, especially the waffles. Highly recommended.
