Love this place! Came here for the sunrise and it was magical with the fresh air and playground. Nice playground nearby with an elevated platform to enjoy the morning breeze (and to blow the smoke away).

Amazing place! Different types of swings, four level tower with a tube to go down, Zipline and many more. Parents can then take their kids for a walk on a trail and enjoy the seasonal migration of the birds.

Thiz is the best playground in Canada by far! My 8 year old enjoyed it so much. The spiral slide is about 3 storeys high, the zipline is amazing and all the climbing spots are to die for! I wish they had this in other cities.

The playground is perfect for kids, the sunsets from that point of Richmond r gorgeous, there is an option for a walk.
04 October 2021 22:23
The zipline & the big slide are our fave! Other playground structures are well maintained. Lots of open space where kids can just have free play, run around and/or do picnic.

Great walk. The play area is aimed at older children (5+). The architectural section was very near to walk though
11 September 2021 17:46
Well maintained park. Also have lot of space for spending with family. A good place for site seeing
28 August 2021 22:17
Great park! There are many rides in this park. I like it how it's convenient that there is a mini zip line for you to ride in. And everything else, is very good as well. Probably the best park I have been to so far.

A very spectacular park to walk and play, had alot of things to do there and a very well built slide
16 August 2021 7:40
Big playground with lots of unique and big structures for kids to play on. The park is spread out so there is lots of room to run around too. Definitely better than most simple community playgrounds.
12 August 2021 3:30
Perfect for families with toddlers. Safe, clean space, plenty of park benches and picnic tables.the park itself is a perfect safe challenge for petite parkour artists and its spread out enough to socially distance in. It has an on site bathroom and nothing beats the views from the top of the hill. Will visit this park regularly until my children get bored of it.

Wonderful place with riverside walk, playground and pond. Lots of birds and even saw three beavers in the pond.
18 July 2021 18:00
Huuuge tunnel slide and zip line x 2. Also equipped with wooden and rope obstacle course + swing sets for older and younger children. Plenty of tables and space to have a picnic. Could also bring your bikes and or go for a walk along the dyke.

Wow! This place is an epic place for kids. The best playground I've seen in a non commercial place
18 July 2021 0:30
A very best amazing place for kids 7 and plus. Hours pass by too fast. There is the most exciting things a playground must have. Tons of parking. Places for family picnic (except BBQ). To me, disability friendly. Biking, hiking and playing. What else you want?

Fantastic park with loads of activities for all ages. Bonus watching planes take off and land at yvr
10 July 2021 16:47
Definitely on my 3yr old's top 5 playground list. She loves the tall slide and the rope carousel
08 July 2021 10:25
I loved this place. We get to see a take off or landing every 2 minutes, and the place is utmost beautiful and peaceful. I love how serene the surroundings were.
07 July 2021 21:04
Awesome place next to wonderful trails. Amazing to walk there during summers as it's a treat to see nature in its full glory.
07 July 2021 18:43
I really love this place. First time I went there, I was shocked seeing a playground where even adults could have fun! The swings, slides and ziplines. I also love the fact there is greenery surrounding everywhere, it is well maintained and most importantly public wahsrooms are available with a water fountain outside it.

This is an amazing gem of a playground hidden away at the end of River Road in Richmond. I wish I'd known about this sooner. My 3 year old girl loves this place so much, she was bugging me to go back the following three days. It's clean, well built, and even has 2 ziplines.
24 June 2021 7:40
There many features like long slides, 2 zip lines and lots of rope courses to entertain your children for the whole day while the adults can watch them from a comfortable distance.
13 June 2021 9:56
Great park for slightly older kids. Lots of parking. And bonus activity of watching planes take off from YVR.

Terra Nova Playground is one of the best playgrounds in Richmond and has lots of different things to do.
10 September 2019 1:01
Not very far from downtown Richmond, this is a great park for kids to explore. A long sides from on top of hill, a tree-house tower, a big tall swing, two 35-meter ziplines.all of that made our kids reluctant to go home.

Right across the river, we can see the runway of the Vancouver International Airport clearly, and we can spend times observing flights coming in and out of it.

This is probably the best playground in the Lower Mainland.

Great location with a nice variety of new equipment for all ages. Except for the centerpiece, the main attraction tree house. The multilevel climbing tower with tube slide has been closed for renovations for ages and doesn't show any sign of work. Otherwise this is a great place with picnic tables to bring the family for an hour or a day.
23 August 2019 21:46
The climbing slide is closed, but it is still amazing and fun for the whole family, including older kids and teens.

The Terra Nova Adventure Play Environment is a play experience unique to the Lower Mainland. It is the result of an extensive and highly successful community planning process, and reflects the agricultural traditions of the area and complements the City’s growing collection of innovative parks. The play environment represents a major departure from other contemporary playgrounds in that most of the features are custom designed and manufactured using British Columbia sourced Yellow Cedar and sustainable design practices, rather than conventional, ‘off the shelf’ metal and plastic products.

Equally important the design of the Terra Nova Adventure Play Environment responds to concerns that have been raised among various professionals that children and adults are increasingly becoming disconnected from nature. In his book ‘Last Child in the Woods’ Richard Louv refers to this disconnection as “Nature-Deficit Disorder”. The City’s hope is that by constructing a dynamic play environment amongst trees and former farm fields, with a wide range of wildlife nearby, and adjacent to the Fraser River, one of the world’s great salmon producing rivers, we can help reconnect people with nature. And have fun in the process.

Great for hiking and cycling in the rural and garden zones. Great to see community effort to protect and recover eco system. Great for kids

Total waste of our time. This was one of the top parks in Vancouver to go to and it definitely does not live up to the hype! Its truly hard to believe this park cost a million dollars to build!

The only thing that looked like it was worth anything was the giant slide that was CLOSED for maintenance.

Our children were disappointed and quit frankly we were too!

We seen the slide was closed.and turned around and left. Cause that was the whole purpose we were there.

They should really have something on their website that informs people that it's under maintenance before wasting people's time coming out.

Wonderful place for strolling. A place of natural beauty where the earth and ocean meets besides a river. The jungle trail is charming. If you want to spend couple of hours please bring food and water.
17 July 2019 18:08
This place is a hidden gems. You can watch sunset. Kids can play with zip-line. Kids all ages can enjoy this park. This park connects with Garry Point down south west portion of Richmond.
11 July 2019 14:20
Great place for a sunset walk. Good place to bring people from out of town. The path will go all the way to Steveston. Relax on a bench and see planes, boats and birds come and go
10 July 2019 9:27
Lots of fun with varieties of play ground facilities for different ages. Design blend with the nature well.
05 July 2019 13:04
Great place for family fun/picnic. Kids love the zipline and good place to cycle and just spend the time with kids running around
30 June 2019 9:20
Nice, unusual park by the northwest corner of Richmond. When we went, the tall slide+climbing tower was under renovation. And so was the public washrooms. Can be windy since it's right by the water. The kids loved the zip line and climbing the log structures. Parking is in an adjacent area, separated by a small pond. There's shade to be found by the main playground area as well as picnic tables and benches. This would be a great place to spend in the summer.
30 June 2019 0:44
This park is fantastic! They have natural wood climbing structures, a couple of great slides, two zip lines, and it's just an all around beautiful place, with a pond and walking trails and nice places to have lunch.
27 June 2019 5:48
The park is not so busy, there is a zipline for young children, although we saw some not so young people used it while we were there. They have tables for picnic under trees. Lots to do for children and adults too. They only have porta toilets, I hope they have a proper washroom.
21 June 2019 1:13
This fantastic park and playground has features for kids of all ages. Most features are built of logs giving the park a great natural feel. Rolling down the big hill, speeding along the zipline or climbing to the top of the huge multi story climbing tower, kids and kids at heart will love it here. There are a number of picnic tables so bring a lunch and make it an all day event. The park has lots of free parking on site, and is right next to the river walk if you want a change of pace.
11 June 2019 22:18
Sun set is so good that and you can site on the chairs watch the sin moved down. You can feel so peaceful.
09 June 2019 2:16
Tower is still closed but can't wait for it to reopen. Great daytrip and fun for the whole family. Several playground suited for various age groups.
08 June 2019 11:09
Perfect place to bring kids and friends to play and relaxing. A lot of playground for differents ages of kids and a lovely dyke for people to walk around and enjoy the view.
05 June 2019 19:30
Pro tip for parents of young ones: bring a sturdy stroller and some extra drinks.

Pro tip for parents of older kids: this place can be great for kite flying.

The adventure park is great for kids aged 4-10! It is near the ocean, so you cool off with the breeze and enjoy the ocean smells. There are some good walking trails around and some great bird and bug watching.
