I had such a therapeutic experience with Dr Ben. His assessment and treatment felt purposeful and specific to my issues and not just snap and crack. He did soft tissue work and I was able to have adjustment without guarding. The after care he offered me is extremely helpful. As an RMT and a patient I highly recommend Dr Stebbins

A terrific place staffed by pleasant, professional, knowledgeable people. I'm so grateful for the assistance they gave to me recently for a very painful nerve compression I was suffering from. Highly recommended!

I saw Leo, one of the physiotherapists working at this clinic, and was very happy with the care. I'm an aging athlete with many years of accumulating injuries and pushing my body. Leo was able to give me a better understanding of the injury I went to see him about and gave me excellent guidelines on how to get back to training. Very knowledgeable and very good at communicating that knowledge to others. I'm picky about who I hire to help me with my injuries and I'll be back to see Leo next time I need one.

Very pleased with the outcome of my chiropractic appointments with Dr. Ben Stebbins. He was able to quickly evaluate and treat a long-standing back problem. I found Ben to be kind and comforting in a difficult time for me. I fully endorse and recommend Ben as your chiropractic professional.

Everyone here went overboard to accommodate me when I found myself at the wrong address and late for my appointment. Very helpful and relaxed. Thank you. PS - The treatment was also done very thoughtfully and I felt heard.

Staff at the Athlete Centre are extremely professional, genuine, and kind. I saw Alex for physiotherapy and the Performance Plus program. Alex was dedicated to helping me return to weightlifting and playing sports with the long-term vision of keeping me healthy and living pain free. I was extremely impressed with his approach to ensuring I could not only return to performing, but also improve.
I also saw Josh for massage work on my shoulders. Josh also had the similar approach of finding long-term solutions to my injuries and ensuring I could return to sport as soon as possible.
10/10 recommend the Athlete Centre for improving health and wellness.

The Athlete Centre trainers have helped me for years. They kept me strong and focused when I was playing competitive sports, and helped during my rehab post injury. Their fitness programs are great and very well instructed! I've done them all- movement mastery, yoga, core, boot camp and mvmt fundamentals. I appreciate how they focus on technique over 'sloppy reps'.

Dr. Kavan Yu was referred (and highly recommended) to me by my RMT. He did not disappoint. He provided me with a wealth of information that helped me make sense of my issues; he was friendly; and motivational. I left feeling energized and inspired to get to work! I have since been back for a second visit and am equally excited to keep my progress going, I am already seeing significant improvements in my strength and function.

My first visit to The Athlete Center was a one-on-one session to help me recover from a concussion that was impacting my daily wellness and ability to perform in my career. The information and rehab exercises I received were invaluable to my recovery. It's been a few years since then and I do the online fitness now and absolutely love it! The instructors are very supportive and they really care about keeping the workouts interesting, engaging and progressive.

I recently saw Josh for a massage. Post pregnancy he was helping me with lower back pain & weekend abdominal muscles. Very kind, knowledgeable and gave me some stretched to do at home for further recovery. Covid protocols exceeded my expectations, I felt comfortable and safe, all around a wonderful experience.

I had Rachelle Little work on a very stiff left shoulder. After a couple of sessions my mobility had greatly improved. With some home exercises between my sessions is wasn’t long before my shoulder was back to feeling like normal. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone.

I just need to add to what I have already posted. Am still going through Movement Mastery Classes and getting so much out of them. I am 68 years old and have always been very active and thought I was in pretty good shape but experience the normal pain that comes with aging. However those pains are significantly diminished because apparently the pains are from not strengthening the proper muscles so it seems. My spine has stayed straighter and therefore haven't had to see my chiropractor for quite sometime and feel so much better in that I sleep sounder. Anyway, I totally enjoy these classes even though my joints tell me otherwise. Ha ha.

I have been using Michelle's Movement Mastery Classes via Youtube throughout our Covid time. They are absolutely so beneficial to strengthening knees, legs, arms, back, etc. Michelle is so knowledgeable and explains, in layman's terms, how the body works and breaks down the particular movement that she is working on for each session which ensures the participant can follow. And then of course, she works in a good sweat to pull it all together. This lady knows her stuff. Thanks Michelle - my aches and pains are so much less.

I often experience pain in my back, shoulders, calves, and hips. I think this is due to working at a desk for hours each day, pre-existing injuries, and occasional physical activity. In searching for a place to get a massage to relieve this pain, I tried out the Athlete Centre. I had a great massage from Julia, an athletic therapist and registered RMT. She was friendly and spent time to talk with me talk about what areas were bothering me and my pre-existing injuries. Her massage was a great help and relaxing as she was able to find the tight, knotted spots and work on gradually relieving the pain with the right pressure and skill. I also tried out the TAC at home exercise program to get back into a routine, and I was impressed with the knowledge level of the instructors. They continually reminded me that it’s not just about pushing myself, but also working out safely by doing the moves properly and avoiding injury. In the past, I’ve tried different types of exercise and just worked out on my own, and after doing the TAC program, I realized that I was doing a lot of the moves the wrong ways that over time could lead to injuries. I think what I really like about this place is that it’s all the services combined – therapy and rehab, workout programs, RMT’s etc, and the team is really knowledgeable. Although I’m not an athlete, I do want to stay physically fit my whole life with minimum risk of wear and tear as I get older, so thank you Athlete Centre team!

Sarah offered me hope when I was running out of options. When we started working together last year I had tried literally everything and clearly was at the end of my rope (and running up significant treatment costs). Decades of sporting injuries and incomplete rehab were adding up and I was having trouble staying injury free and active even in my most basic activities. She provides focused assessments, clear guidance, practical and detailed instruction, and most importantly hope for a pain free and high performance future. She creates step-wise progressions and applies common sense to help me understand the core issue, address root causes - not just symptoms.

I made a commitment to working through her process - and she committed to helping me succeed. In a few short months with an entirely practical and thoughtful program I saw steady progress, a real shock when I consider that had I almost given up. I did not think I would ever run properly again, or play sports at a level I wanted to play and also feel good day to day. She helped me set meaningful goals and a evidence plan to get there. Her hands on treatments helped me overcome some of the day to day aches and pains and her vision helped me get to where I wanted to be.

It has been over a year and I am getting better everyday - I am playing at a level I have not played in 10 years and I am actually saving money as I hardly need any of the other appointments or treatments I used to get on a weekly basis just to keep me going day-to-day. She might not be a miracle worker - but she is pretty close.

Ill never go to the olympics or the worlds but I will have a long career as a high functioning pick up league player and I could not be happier. I will set new personal bests and I am confident that with a sound foundation I will be better equipped to overcome the inevitable bumps, bruises and sprains on my own road to glory.

Oliver B - ordinary 40 something year old guy trying to be his best self, who never wants to stop and is again playing like a 30 year old!

I have been going to The Athlete Centre since 2017. Sarah, Michelle and Rachelle have all been great in helping me to stay active in my daily life and with my various sports. And to help me to prevent further injuries (especially since I’m a wheelchair user). I highly recommend The Athlete Centre to anyone needing to see an athletic therapist!

I originally saw Julia MacLeod 3 years ago for an athletic therapy treatment and now see her on a regular basis in her role as an RMT. Julia is not only super great person, but also an excellent Athletic Therapist and RMT who has helped with injury recovery and now ongoing maintenance. I would highly recommend Julia in both of these roles:)

Sydney Chapman has been the simply the best (out of many) rehabilitation specialists I've seen for my ACL tear/surgery recovery especially since I've been encountering issues with my muscles post-surgery that have prevented me from proper rehabilitation. She took the time to pinpoint my exact issue (which other professionals were unable to diagnose) in one session and gave me exercises and muscle releasing and I saw results within week! I have seen other specialists who did not give me the same attention and expertise and saw no results for months. I highly recommend her as an athletic therapist- she restored hope in my stunted rehabilitation process.

The Athlete Centre is your go-to place for injury prevention and care if you love to move! The therapists are knowledgeable, experienced and will work WITH you to reach your goals.

After a torn meniscus I’ve been working with both an athletic therapist and massage therapist at The Athlete Centre starting with acute care and rehab; I am currently doing sessions to get strong before surgery, and look forward to them helping me get back on track as soon as possible after!

If you’ve ever been told you should never run again, not to lift weights because you have a “bad back” or you should stop doing the things you love, you should get a second opinion; go see one of the amazing therapists at The Athlete Centre, they know their stuff!
