I have found my barber. Niko laid it all out so clearly when asking how I wanted my hair cut. It is perfect. Old school barbershop with skilled hands. Thanks Niko and thanks Barbershop.

It was an ok cut reasonably in and out. Came for a clean up and it was pretty reasonably priced. The guy just wanted me in and out but overall a mid experience

I've been getting cuts from these guys for about three years, and they always deliver. Professional, quick, friendly, no messing around. You want a haircut? You get a haircut. Easy.

I recently got my hair cut at The Barber Shop on Burrard; and, I was thoroughly satisfied with my experience, overall, in regards to the timeliness of service, the price, and the quality of the end result. What more could I ask for? ! That's why I've given them a rating of 4, out of 5, stars.

Needed a fresh cut for the weekend. Walked in waited 5 min. Got Al. He did a good fast job. Very satisfied of the service. Just like it like it. In get the job done and out. Very reasonable price.

Worst haircut place I've been to in a longgg time. Was hoping to save a few bucks instead of going to my other places but what a mistake. These ppl can't cut hair if their lives depended on it. Stay away from this place it's cheap for a reason. If you wanna walk out of here frustrated with how bad they messed up your hair tho this is the place for you. Where's the zero star? Based on my recent experience, I would not recommend this hair salon to anyone looking for a quality haircut. I found the pricing to be good but did not feel like I received good value for my money. I walked out of the place disappointed and had to get another fixture from somewhere else within two weeks - spending more money.

What's more, I was disappointed to discover that the stylist did not use scissors to cut my hair. Instead, he relied solely on a machine, which resulted in a less than satisfactory haircut. Instead of cutting he just kept making them shorter than I wanted it to be. I had only asked for faded sides, but my entire head ended up being machinedt.

If you're looking for a more professional and nuanced cut, I would recommend being very cautious. Based on my experience, I cannot confidently recommend this salon to anyone seeking a quality haircut.

It's a real barber shop. You walk in and get the next guy up. The best guys are Steve and Bill.

Great place to get a nice haircut. Cheaper too. Good staff. The wait time was a little long but it's due to 1 barber working in the morning on a Tuesday. Highly recommended.

Was my go to place but it really depends on who's available for a good experience. I wasn't too pleased about my last cut and am still having to grow it out before I get it done right.will be going to a different place from now on.

It's been a few days since I got my haircut here but I just wanted to give all these barbers here a shoutout as they have always given me a fantastic haircut over the last several years. Most recently, I have gotten my hair cut from Bill and Steve but over the last several years, I want to say I have been very happy with each and every one of these barbers here. Not only do they do a great job but the value is amazing as well. I have been to barbers that charge $35-$40 before to compare the difference but every time I come back to this barbershop as they charge half the price and they do just as good of a job if not better than these premium hair stylists.

If I could give less than 1 star I would. Worst haircut ever and the barber almost took off my ear with the clippers. Did not apologize. This is the epitome of a place that could care less. Stay far away from this place. Just terrible.

If you want a good haircut at a reasonable price. This is the place. I have been a customer for over 20 years.

I had a teen grandson visiting from out of town (to run in the Vancouver Marathon, yahoo!). He had a lot of errands that weekend, tightly scheduled, and one was getting a haircut if possible. The location of this barber shop fit into our Saturday well, and my online research was reassuring.

Yup, it's great! A traditional, businesslike establishment but friendly too. The barber was efficient but exacting, asked questions to be sure, did a perfect job in a short time. Great price too. The barbers seemed to be mostly older gentlemen but most of the clientele were younger guys who seemed to be regulars and the barbers definitely gave them up-to-date cuts.

I like it because it's a great place to get a reasonably priced haircut where you are in and out in less than 15 to 20 minutes. The services are okay, but they do tend to push you in and out (which has its benefits, like the aforementioned speedy service noted above). If you wish to have a more personal experience with a stylist, this is not the place for you. And they predominantly only do men's haircuts, as it is simply just a Barber Shop, not a hair salon.

Pretty traditional fare of barber shop experience. No frills cash only operation. In and out within 15 minutes.

COVID hotspot, very rude place to have your haircut at. If you are homeless you will go here, by mistake my boyfriend went it and BILL eyes grew with greed, as he wanted to flip to the next hair cut. Can you imagine.

Steve did a great job and it was good chatting with him. Will be back whenever in YVR! Great prices, service, look, and location.

It’s an excellent Barber Shop. All are good, but I try to choose BILL, who is a very nice and professional barber.

This place is a gem. My only comment is that they need to replace their dull buzzer heads which tugged at my hair uncomfortably when the barber was moving fast. I had Lucas, and the amount of attention he paid to what I wanted and all the fine details was above and beyond. I would have complete confidence in going back. Just bring cash, as there are no card machines.

Got the worst haircut of my life. They wanted to be done in 2 minutes. Hair everywhere on the seats and absolutely disheartening to read how racist they were to others, I sensed that about the same barber as how he talks about people. It's not okay to say that about people, to me especially. Bill clearly does not take pride in his work and is going through something. This business clearly needs to be reported, they are handling sharp razors with that mentality and it's not safe to hand them over to mentally unwell barbers. Would really want to come back and have a chat with the owners! Put some tape on his mouth in the mean time! Steve has always been good however.

At a considerably lower rate than other barber shops in downtown, they give a better service than most of them. Good haircuts and very professional.

Unparalleled Service! I went to have my haircut there, only after a bad reception at the more expensive Barber, down the street.
I was welcomed in, and quickly seen. My Barber was Old School Greek, Personable, and made me happy for my decision to try them out.

I used to go Burly, but now. I will instead be a return customer here! Inexpensive and I highly recommend it!

I've been going to these same barbers here for over thirty years.they stated on Thurlow near Robson, then to Smithe, then to Burrard.these guys are "old school", always get a good haircut and have never been disappointed. Like the other comment said, "quality doesn't have to cost more".
Just tip then well so we can keep then around.

$18 for a great haircut. Had cuts from multiple guys and each time was great. I've fast learned that in Canada, a higher price doesn't mean a better cut. There's no need to spend double the amount or more at fancy looking barbers when you can just come here.

Just called to make an appointment. I wanted to ask if they had any available appointments for tomorrow and the guy cut me off and said "We close at 3 o clock come by anytime" then hung up on me. Don't even think he heard I was asking about tomorrow.

Was going here for haircuts from 1996-2007, moved away, came back to Vancouver after 13 years, and my Barber is still there. Need a haircut, ask for Bill. Excellent Service.

I needed a haircut so bad and w/most Barber shops being closed due to COVID, it was almost impossible to find a shop accepting walk-ins. Proper The Barbershop was very welcoming and available on my arrival. This shop is legit; follows the COVID guidelines.
Great Staff and very professional especially **Bill**; experienced professionals. There is no gimmick no time waste.i noticed them cleaning and sanitizing tools properly. For example Combs in special cleanser.

Guys do not worry about any negative comments. Go and give it try yourself. Time and money you will save and still gets professional haircut. You won't regret it. Congratulations to Bill and Steve + Staff.

This is where I get my haircut. Its at Davie and burrard and its first come first serve with about six barbers to serve you. All are top quality and the prices are very fair. Great conversation and leave looking good and up on current affairs

This is MY Barber Shop! Barring being away, the only place in Greater Vancouver I go to have my hair cut. The guys are top in their field and I love them!

I have an amazing stylist at Stratosphere, but when I can't get in to see him, and I need a cleanup these are my go to barbers. I have a couple favorites but really any barber there is great. They have so many years of experience and it shows. The place is large and roomy and great during these covid times as you have great social distancing. The pricing is very reasonable so tip well folks.these barbers work hard.

I love getting haircuts at The Barber Shop - I've been going there for years. My guy is Carlos - he is very skilled and awesome at cutting hair.

I went there for a long overdue Covid-19 haircut. First time customer of this barber shop. Nick was great! He cut my hair as I wanted and he is a very nice person to talk to. I was also pleasantly surprised that for a Sunday midday the shop was empty, so Nick got me on the chair straight away and I think I was in for maybe less than 20 minutes. It was fast but it didn't feel rushed: the quality and the details were good. I'll come back again for sure! Thank you / Euxaristo!

While I shave my dome, my friend Bill has been getting his hair cut by Nick for over 20 years, before they moved to their present location. Sadly Bill's walking has become bad and I will be using my electric clippers on him, not as great as Nick's job but not all that bad. If you need a haircut and want to look great, look no further, they will treat you spot on-Dan!

Cannot stress enough how awful this place is. Cheap price for a reason, my fringe looks like it was cut by a 5 year old who just picked up a ruler for the first time. Their definition of a fade is to shave the whole back of your head. Do not give this place your business.

Consistently good barbers no matter who you get. Some of the barbers love to talk so even if you’re not talking, the next chair will likely have something the whole shop can hear.

Some barbers give a neck shave at no extra cost. Nice bonus.

You can be in and out in a hurry if you need.

I sit down and guy throws a di rty, swea ty cape around me without a neck guard. I pull it off and ask politely for a clean cape. He laughed at me and says, It’s not d i rty. As he holds it out to check I could clearly see how fil th y the cape actually was. I looked around and his station was a me ss with hair and di rty tools laying in f il th.
I was sho cked at how unh ygienic this shop is and how this barber saw no problem with his f ilt h on display for customers.
Got up and left.

This place has been my go-to haircut spot for the last year. Great service, great cuts to the point and have not disappointed yet thus far.

Firstly, the electric razor that was used was so dull that it was extremely painful and pulled out my hair. I didn't say anything because I figured it wasn't a big deal, but as the barber moved on to the cut I noticed it was a bit long on the sides. I kindly asked for him to cut it a little bit shorter and he gave a big sigh and started shaving off all my hair on the sides right to my scalp. When I saw this and questioned him why he was shaving so much off, he didn't even care. He smiled and said, "I can go even shorter if you want? " I couldn't believe the lack of respect he had for me. He shrugged me off without apologizing and told me "In two weeks it will be fine. " No. This is not okay. He does not care about his clients and frankly seemed happy that I was upset. I will never be returning to this barber shop and hope that this barber knows that he will continue to lose clients if he treats them this way. I called afterwards to double check the name of the barber and he told me Bob. I will follow up to make sure I have not been lied to.

The barber was fast, cool and really knew what he was doing. No small talk, no bs, he just did his stuff and did it really well. I'm glad I came here to get my hair done.

I've been going there almost eight years and never had a bad cut. Always get what I ask for. Would recommend it to the fussiest of customers.

Very poor hair cut in less than 10 minutes. Later I found that the haircut was not even symmetrical on both sides. Just waste of money.

Not a good haircut. The barber didn’t listen to my simple requests and gave me an ugly haircut. She rushed through the job and left it uneven. Do not come here expecting a fade or any modern haircut style. On my way to another barber to fix the damage. Disappointing.

This place is EXACTLY what you want in a Barbershop; familiar friendly faces, a good family atmosphere, the same usual great price and rarely a long wait. Always the same great ownership too.

Been coming here for years.normally go to Richard (but have also been to pretty much every barber here all are great) perfect cut and str8 razor on the neck with a hot towel finish! 5 star all day

This will be my go-to haircut place in Downtown Vancouver from now onwards. Being new to the city, I was scared to try a new barber, but this place turned out to be amazing. Reasonable price. I paid $18 + tip for the haircut. Few mins of waiting and they've got you. Karima did my hair cut today, and she was amazing. I told her how I wanted my hair to look like and she did exactly like that. Very friendly and skilled staff.
Quick tip: Remember to carry cash. They have an ATM inside the shop if you forget it though.

Barber seems to be in rush. Doesn't listen much. Charged me for trimming as well in addition to haircut but refused to make simple line up as I wanted saying I cant do that. Had to do my own trimming after coming home.
