First time visit and will be back! With the high cost of eating out, this is worth it! OMG! The blackberry bacon grilled cheese is to die for and the wagu beef burger is amazing!

Ordered the Huntsman. Highly recommend it. Service was top shelf. Atmosphere was top shelf.

Service was spectacular. First time here and won’t be my last! Chelsea and Emma were on fire!

Our friends and us had a fantastic meal every thing was so good from the appetizers to the main course our steaks, were exactly the way we like them. And the service was amazing we never had to wait for drinks and the attention to our needs was anticipated before we asked.

Their wings are good and thumb for the Chilli! Great Chilli. Service was great this last Sunday too

This was the best pasta I've eaten in a very long time! I had the garlic butter prawn pasta! Served with a simple 6oz blasted church chardonnay!
The outside patio was very loud but choosing to sit inside on a busy night was much better!
I have a regret of not getting any pictures of my lovely meal. And no name to go with the incredible service.

This place is a breath of fresh air, good beer selection, wine was amazing but what is cool about this place was happy hour, amazing wine and although cheap beer specials are hard to come by these, we got some free wings with a 9$ purchase of my beer,
We only had the free wings but the food that I saw around me and their menu looks amazing and awesome variety, loved this place

Shortage of beer, had no clue what they had on tap.got food poisoning from there wings.won't be going back.

The Black Antler is our go to! Not only do they have amazing meals, but an incredible happy hour if you just have time for a quick drink and a bite. The staff is friendly, attentive and they treat you like royalty! The beer menu is robust, and the cocktails are plentiful. Looking forward to many more great meals with great people!

Amazing place to meet up with friends or celebrate! We have been going to The Black Antler for a while and we always have a great experience. This last visit was for the Huntmen Dinner for 8 and we had a blast! Service was fantastic, food amazing and the entire evening was a 10/10. Giant Tomahawk steak, Ribs and a bunch of other delicious sides on the board! We left with food cuz it was so much to enjoy. Highly recommend this place. Well done Dan! You have a great thing going from service to food and your signature cocktails are amazing! Keep up the great work!

Amazing food! I came in with my friend and they loved it! The beer cheese dip was so delicious for our starter and the Wagyu burger was juicy, savory, with hint of sweet and so delicious. Not to mention, there was plenty for leftovers: p

Went for a birthday celebration with 5 omnivores and a vegan. Ordered the huntsman, with a side of vegan. The service was amazing.everyone was full and brought home extras and the huntsman was delicious. Well seasoned and you can tell the chef tastes things before they go out.

Made reservations for my BD and informed them I was wanting their 50oz Tomahawk Ribeye.didnt want to risk it not being available, if thats a thing.
To be honest, I was half expecting the steak to not be cooked to my request as its a huge thick cut of meat thats super easy to over/under cook. I asked for Med. Rare, but more rare than med.
To my amazement the steak was cooked PERFECTLY and was one of the best steaks I've ever eaten! Melt in your mouth good!

Bravo to the Chef and the staff, it was a neal I am unlikely to forget?

The food was great but definitely needs a manager on the floor to work with staff. Waited over a hour for our food and a appetizer we ordered when we sat down never came. There was lots of staff but appeared new and not sure how a restaurant runs. If the food is a hour wait I would suggest changing the chairs as they are not comfortable at all. But again our meals were fantastic just needs a little fine tuning

Had a wonderful spur of the moment Friday evening dinner. Busy but very accommodating managing to find us two seats at the bar. My husband had IPA on tap with a steak sandwich and I had a glass of house red with a bbq chicken thigh sandwich. Both were delicious, hot and served in good time for a busy Friday. Looking forward to our next visit.

Really great food and service. Enjoyed our dinner. The kitchen was extremely careful with the allergies we had and very accommodating which we really appreciate.

We are regular customers of Black Antler. We ALWAYS go for Happy Hour, (Almost every Thursday) 3-5 pm -$9 drink with 1 order free wings. We enjoy our drinks (we pay more for our drinks so we can get the free wings). We now find out, that they'll only do 1 drink with 1 order of free wings during Happy Hour. We wanted to buy another round. The other couple we were with were ordering doubles, but, when we wanted to order another round ($70 worth) we were told we couldn't get anymore wings.
Interestingly enough, we were the only table.so we went to another bar and bought drinks (at a discounted price) and bought wings and spent another $140. Loss for the Antler.won't be back. Sorry.

Happy hour is very good. Atmosphere is cross between rustic, industrial and disco with a splash of country. Happy hour menu is a great value. The wings are cooked to perfection, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The server knew their cook tails. Definitely recommend.

Managers do not handle situations appropriately. Had a person skip their bill and one decided to post about it publicly on Facebook. Unfortunately my dad shares the same name just different spelling to the party involved. Thank you for the troubles you have caused. Goes to show I will not be giving this business my money.

The food was excellent and very filling. The staff are good they just need some fine tuning on how to dress a table properly with seated customers.pouring hot coffee ACROSS a customer is never a good idea in case of a spill.

Use to be really good, it has got very bad. We ordered in with delivery and the food was all overcooked, chicken burger was paper thin and rock hard, we couldn’t even eat any of our $91.00 meal. We then proceeded to call the restaurant, politely saying our meals were all overcooked and spoke to the rudest manager woman that hung up on us. We were not offered any refund or offered new meals to be picked up. None of our families will be going back there again! We had been good customers for a long time. Sadly it use to be a favourite!

Went in today have had good food before. But the service today was terrible did not get a chance to order just left to sit there and wait for a server. Another table behind us came in after and got served before us so we got up and left.

Hats off to the servers and kitchen. Although they were extremely busy they did their best to get us served and out in time for our show. I wish we could have spent more time to relax and savour our delicious meals.

Didn't have a great experience when we came here with my family last fall. The food took and extremely long time and arrived with mistakes. Wasn't great food when we finally got it, not bad - just mediocre. The server gave us a discount for the issues which is why I'm not giving 2 stars, but I won't be back

The risotto balls and the peach dessert were so yummy! The Guinness was a perfect pour and the lavender lemonade was just right. Not too sweet. Well done! We will be back for sure!

My husband and I went in and had two table options, right by the kitchen, or right by the patio door. Being that we didn’t want to be in the way of the servers coming and going we sat by the door. Mistake! It was so cold. My husband ordered the 12 oz strip and I ordered the flatbread. Being that it’s on “things on bread” section of the menu I thought it would come with a side salad, since it says comes with side salad, but apparently this one random item is the only one that doesn’t apply. It was a really long wait for our food. By the time it arrived, my flatbread was cold and hard. I couldn’t eat it. The server was nice enough to ask if I wanted it redone but after the wait, I just passed. My husband had already started into his meal. And man what a disappointment! His steak was well over cooked. Closer to well done than medium rare. And his potatoes and vegetables were so over cooked they were mush. Like baby food mush. He didn’t eat those either. I had to ask for salt and pepper because he felt bad to ask and there was no seasoning on his steak. It was very bland and tough. So I sat there sipping my wine while he ate is $42 dollar over cooked under seasoned steak and by the time the bill came …$90! The server was nice and I told her the same thing I’ll say here… I’ll give it a bit more time before I decide if we want to give it another try. I had higher hopes but sadly this place left me with not much else left to say.

Won't be visiting again.had the Hula Chicken Sandwich.should be called a Hula Slider.the bun was 3 inches across, the chicken inside considerably smaller.the ham was a slice of sandwich meat.so much bun it was hard to eat.the side caesar was painfully generic.for $19! My friend's Teryaki Rice bowl had nice flavour, but once the five or six little pieces of chicken were gone, mostly just boring rice.lastly.bar or restaurant, pick one! Music was so loud we couldn't even hear our friends across the table talking.mind you, the bare steel chairs encourage you to not linger anyway.our server Logan was very good.

Menu has a lot of creative items on it. The blackberry bacon grilled cheese was a fun combo. Prices and portions are market. Enclosed patio is utilitarian but heated; a nice touch in inclement Covid conditions. The focus is mixology. Service was cheerful. A great lunch to late night spot.

The meals were fabulous with a lot of yummy creative comfort food. Drinks were very good with a wide selection of cocktails and local beer. Service was friendly and helpful. Just need some cushions on the very hard metal chairs but that's all that was lacking. Great experience. Definately recommend a visit

A really nice restaurant. We sat outside on their patio which was perfect for an evening meal. Good food and service.

I came to the black antler on a busy Friday for happy hour but we ended up staying all night because we were obsessed with this restaurant! Willow our server was amazing, she told us about all the specials and got us the best deals! Free wings thank you willow! We were a little upset they didn’t have the red they used to have but Willow got us hooked on the grey monk blend. Their ribs are so absolutely massive and and fall off the bone good, also for a cute note ask them the story behind their cocktails!

We had ribs and the wagyu burger which was good. Only drawback is that it took a very long time for the food to come out (+40 mins from ordering). We watched as our plates sat on the order up shelf getting cold. Fries weren’t great cold. Coleslaw was tasteless. I saw other people’s dishes sitting for a long time too, waiting for their sides or waiting for their server. They need better coordination and timing in the kitchen. From the sounds of the other reviews, being disorganized is not surprising for this eatery whether it’s the dishes or getting seated.

The place was packed so try to make reservations or come early. Ambiance was definitely bustling and the decor was on point.

The Black Antler is situated on Winnipeg Street in the heart of Penticton. If you like BBQ or simply comfort food, you have to try this hidden gem! We dropped in to try their Bison Burger and it was amazing. Also the best spot in town for a pint of Guinness beer. We’ll be back soon!

Very disappointing experience. The food was excellent, very well prepared and a thoughtful use of ingredients. Unfortunately the service ensured that we will not return. Waited for drinks, had to ask the server if the drinks were coming, obviously weren't entered as tables who arrived after ours were served first. Drink was wrong. Glasses not refilled when obviously empty. Exceptionally long delay between appetizers and main. Again, other tables who arrived after, served first. Had to ask after food. Told was being plated. Watched one dish sit under the heat lamp for 10 minutes while the other was prepared. There were only 5 tables occupied in the restaurant. Dissapointing to say the least as this could be a destination establishment. Kudos to the kitchen. It would be a shame if there talents couldn't be better highlighted elsewhere.

If cocktails are your jam this will be your new "Cheers"! I bet they'll even remember your name!

The food here is delicious! A little on the pricer side, but worth it. My husband and I had the best burgers of our lives here. I hope everyone has the exact same experience.

Our waitress was really sweet. Was a nice little place. We didn't eat so I can't comment on the food, drinks were ok. Menu does look yummy

Excellent. Large portions, high quality. Not a small price tag but certainly not over the top expensive either.

Ordered the jambalaya, asked for no pork. Took the order as take out and got home and realised there was no shrimp either. Really bland, basically a few peppers, tomato sauce a few strips of chicken and white rice. Jambalaya should be full of spice and flavors and the use of black beans and corn are an absolute staple but this replica had neither. Worst part was the meager portion. The last thing to expect after eating jambalaya is to still be hungry but it was about half the size of the cactus clubs jambalaya and half the flavour.

My first time at The Black Antler was in every way unenjoyable! Sorry! The only decent part of my visit was that the bartender made me a great drink that was thankfully so strong, it lasted the entire hour I was there. I walked in, and in what appeared to be a summer balcony area, appeared completely full except for one table in the corner against two plastic wall-windows. When I got to the hostess beside the kitchen area, I could hear one of the cooks taking about how he was holding “six or seven tickets that he hasn’t even begun to start. ” He started laughing and looked right at me when he said it, as if to say it will take forever to receive any food. The hostess said the place was busy and there were no tables to sit at, but I could order food at the bar. I asked if she could take my name and then seat me somewhere when a table became available, and she said yes. I ordered my drink, and sat at the bar for about 15 minutes when I noticed she had placed two other parties who arrived after me, at empty tables. I then asked why they were seated first, and she had said she forgotten and the other hostesses didn’t pay attention to my name that was written down to be placed first. I was then placed at the corner table I saw empty when I first walked in. The room was freezing, and couldn’t take my jacket off. My waitress was slow at even getting to my table, and once again to place my order. After 25 or so minutes, my husband and I received our appetizers that were ice cold, and one of them was supposed to be a hot cheese dip (nacho chips that were way to hard), and even my calamari was ice cold. At that point, it had been about an hour of being there, and all I could do was leave! When explaining the situation to my waitress, I didn’t even get an apology from her, or even the management on duty that she said she was going to speak to! Thanks!

Have been a couple times and was always very happy with my food and cocktails! Very cosy place with a chill ambience.

This burger was truly amazing. The "Big Buck" is a take on the classic of course, but puts the original to shame. Great atmosphere, good variety on the menu and friendly service!

A group of four decided to try the black Antler for brunch on saturday and we are really glad we went. We all enjoyed our meals. I had the smoke salmon benny. I loved how, instead of an english muffin, they placed the perfectly cooked eggs on fresh french bread that they make. My fav bennys i have had in town. My husband enjoyed the uncle buck big breakfast and especially loved the pancakes. The other couple enjoyed their pork benny and breakfast fajita. Looking forward to returning for lunch or dinner. Highly recommend.

The wings are soooo good. They taste like they've never been frozen. The fries are awesome too. No idea what they season them with, but it's great. Will be coming here again!

The Black Antler has a caesar salad I would cross the city for. In a heartbeat. For drinkers, the cocktail menu is killer. Sexy atmosphere and really great food menu. Highly recommended by a local nutritionist.

Great cocktails, fantastic 80's playlight, and tasty food at a nice price point. Highly recommended for a date night, or a night out with friends.

This is a great new place in Penticton. The staff are welcoming, the coconut prawns are great, and the atmosphere draws people in. The have a great patio setup with lots of seating and the the decor is very appealing. Highly recommended.

Seemed like an ok place for beers and appetizers. But the cocktails we all ordered were honestly horrible.

We gave Black Antler a try on a Cool Monday night. My pasta was a bit bland but my wife's grilled cheese sandwich was very good. Staff were attentive and service was fast. Prices are high.

Nothing to complain about except prices.
Had 2 beer and two glasses of wine and wings. With tip was $87. Hard to digest and will have to be extremely careful when ordering next time. $22 glass of rose and $16 for white wine. $9 pint of lager. Come on guys this is not Vegas.

The food was amazing, I got the risotto balls for an appy and had the wagyu beef burger for a main and both dishes were cooked perfectly, the cocktail menu has a wide variety of drinks for anyone from lemonades to a classic cocktail of spirit and butters, our server Teresa did an awesome job and made sure we were taken care of. Didn’t manage to snap a picture of the burger because I was too excited to eat it.

Well done, excellent service and great food. Fit in a party of 10 people, no reso, great stuff. Winner for sure!

Awesome new venue in Penticton. They have done an excellent job of quickly working out some growing pains which is expected for a new business. The staff are wonderful and the food is fantastic, they also have a great selection of craft beer. We had a couple of the Intruder IPA and the risotto balls and spinach dip.yum! The food was great and the pricing seemed very reasonable. We will be back as regulars!

Cozy vibes, great food, better drinks, and amazing people. We stopped for dinner and grabbed a spot at the bar. The bartenders were friendly and the drinks were impeccable.

Definitely deserves 5 stars all around! Food was outstanding (stuffed chicken.wow, drool!) The atmosphere was amazing, it's great to see that in Penticton. The bartender Calvin makes one mean drink! And my server Tony was outstanding. Highly recommend this place! Can't wait to go back.

Had the steak. No flavor. Tough to chew. Way over priced. Even got charged for a side of HP sauce to give it some flavor. Decent place aside from that.

I appreciate the level of attention they put into aesthetic while designing this place, although we were seated at a high-top table and we kept sliding off the stools (not the most comfortable seating).

It was packed yesterday, which created about a 30 minute wait just to order drinks. Music was fantastic. We had several delicious appetizers and I'm excited to explore the rest of their menu.

Went last night for supper. Was seated with water but then sat there for at least 15 minutes before anyone came to our table to offer drinks. Hardly anyone in the restaurant. $12 lavender vodka cocktail tasted mostly of syrup. Husband ordered spinach dip which was very bland, needed some salt or spice or something. I had the fish and chips which were $17 and nothing special.

All in all very expensive for what you get and it was nothing special. I will try again another time though.

Very busy which is great! Our server was extremely nice and did her best. The bartenders were extremely busy but if you're offering a cocktail experience then please have your drinks coming out quicker and more consistent. Food was great. Could possibly do less skinny fries or change to thicker cut fries. Grilled cheese was awesome.
I hope with more time they become a staple in Penticton. Definately have our support.

The Fish and Chips were terrible. Cheap slim fries. Mostly batter then fish.
Calamari was just ok.
We were not impressed. Very uncomfortable seats. We were cold. It was a cool day and they had the door opened. One couple found it too cold so they left.
